Update Faint positive pregnancy test! Unplanned BD!

DH and I were planning on TTC a boy and have one next summer. However last month, we gave up because with 3 kids already the effort needed just wasn't in the cards as we planned. One night we had unprotected sex since my period was due with in a week I thought the chance of pregnancy was nil. We also had unprotected 2 minute quick sex the following day (We average 2-3 sex session a month so we just happened to get lucky two days in a row, but nothing else for the month of may). The whole time saying "It probably won't happen but whatever".
I just got a light positive pregnancy test. Thankfully you don't have to squint to see it. I was shocked that we got a positive pregnancy test so quickly with just a couple nights of sex. I mean I know you can get pregnant after one night of sex I just didn't expect it to happen since in our 9 years of marriage we actually had to TRY to get pregnant and this time we didn't. DH and I are in our early 30s and we were reading you only have a 33% chance of getting pregnant, it takes the average couple 6 months, the older you get the harder it is blah blah blah.
I am still shocked, my DH is in denial that it actually happened.
With that said, is there still a chance that I am growing a little man or is a 4th girl in the cards. Either way, I would be thrilled. I truly only wish for a healthy baby and healthy mom. The extras is just gravy.

And Ladies, has anyone gotten pregnant a week or so before their expected period?? I have a semi irregular cycle averaging between 26-30 days (never stays consistent)and reading online I didn't think it was possible to conceive so late. According to my period tracker we had sex on CD 18/19.

    First of all congratulations!
Secondly, I got pregnant with both my sons late in my cycle I have 30-35 day cycles and conceived ds1 around cd 19 and ds2 around cd24 so yes very possible! Ds1 was two attempts ds2 was one attempt on day 21.
Best of luck with your pregnancy and I hope it's your sweet boy xx

    Ooo exciting!!!

It's very unlikely (like lighning strike unlikely) that you Oed when you think you did. I suspect you Oed much closer to when you DTD.

We DTD Cycle Day 18 and Cycle Day 19. I religiously track my cycle as we have used the NFP method along with Condoms. According to my Period Tracker I Ovulated in late April and "conceived" in late April as well. Unless I am Mother Mary reincarnate we didn't DTD the last 3 weeks of April. We had unprotected sex ONLY two days in early may. I am excited either way and I can't wait for new little one to arrive.

Sorry I misunderstood your question.. i thought you asked if you can ovulate late in your cycle. Which is why I said yes because I always ovulate late in my cycle like between cd 18-26 but we have always bd before ovulation to conceive our two boys.

    Congratulations again on your pregnancy!
