Ovulation Test Strip and Ovulation pain
Hi ,
please I am a bit confused as I recently started monitoring my ovulation a few months back I started using the Ovulation strip about 3 days ago and got a darker line yesterday which I assume is positive . Today I started feeling slight pain on the side where my ovaries are. Does this mean I am currently ovulating or will y ovulation day be tomorrow , I intend to take another strip test today . but its all a bit confusing for me .

An OPK will almost always have two lines so to tell if it's positive, the test line needs to be as dark as or darker than the control line. You can get a pos OPK and not ovulate. Ovary pains are not a reliable sign ovulation will occur or has occurred. The only way to know for sure is either by temping or ultrasound.

with ks (thank you!)
In order to be a positive test the test line must be as dark or darker than control. Just a second line is not a positive test.
O pain can happen before, during, or after ovulation. So you unfortunately can't use it to tell when you're ovulating, or about to, or have ovulated.
The rule is that on average you will ovulate about 24-36 hours after your first positive OPK. It doesn't always work like that but that's your best bet at knowing when O will occur.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
