SUCCESSFUL SWAY!
MY BABY IS A BOY!
I am 19 weeks and intended for the u/s today to be a surprise to everyone else so I didn't tell anybody I was having it today and I went alone. Honestly, I was preparing for if I heard "girl." I didn't want anybody else with me in case I was disappointed. I *think* I would have been okay but I wasn't taking any chances since I've been an emotional wreck lately.
As soon as the tech put the wand on my tummy, she said, "Is this your first pregnancy?" and I said, "No, my second." She said, "What do you have?" and I said that I have a little girl and she said, "Well, now you have one of each!" And I just MELTED. His little "package" was pretty darn obvious. Perfect little turtle!
I just KNEW DD was a girl and I have just been SURE this one was a boy. I have felt completely different in every way. And of course, I desperately wanted DD to be a girl and I really, really wanted a boy this time and swayed pretty hard, if I do say so. And I really, really wanted it for DH. I intended to wait and put the results under the Christmas tree, but I couldn't stand it. I went straight to his job and told him! He actually cried! He was so happy!
Everyone is just deliriously happy. And the baby is perfectly healthy. One kidney was a bit dialated but the doctor said it's nothing, they can check it again later and it wasn't a big deal. His little bladder was probably full. All my blood work came back great and he is measuring right on track.
I just feel so incredibly happy and grateful and blessed right now. I know some people don't think it's as big of a deal that I only had one girl before swaying, but from everything I've seen my life was SUPER girl friendly. I'm so glad it was, because I wanted DD BAD but I honestly do not believe I would be having DS without swaying. I am SO grateful to everyone who answered my questions last spring/summer. I am going to go post my sway! Thank y'all so much!Tiffany
