I would say it's very close, I'd attempt tonight but keep an eye out if it goes negative again (within a few minutes or hours) Lately we've been having people have a false positive test for a few minutes or a couple hours that then goes negative again, that is NOT the true surge and then they ovulate a few days later for reals.

Thanks. This was from Sunday morning. We BD’d Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning. I tested again today and the lines seemed a little lighter. My husband is working out of town, so this was the best we could do while I visited him over the weekend. We’ll see what happens...

Sorry for jumping on this post from the past, how do you know if its a false positive? Last month I got a positive opk at 5pm and by a few hrs later the test line went back to neg, no cramping or cm either so I would have thought thats when I ovulated but from the above message cos it was few hours later is should have been a false ? Sorry if im getting confused, I dont get it

The unfortunate answer is, you don't.
You can have a positive OPK for only a short time that is a legit positive. You can also have a positive OPK for days even that is inaccurate because you surged and then your body decided not to ovulate. A surge does not necessarily mean ovulation, so it's possible to get a surge and then not ovulate. It's also possible that because your body uses LH for many things, you can get a positive test for a short time that isn't due to the surge. OPK are somewhat annoyingly unreliable but unfortunately they're all we have.
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
