Should we skip this month?
Hey everyone!
So my blue sway is going great so far in terms of diet, supps and exercise. I’ve really stuck to the HE diet religiously and I’ve been taking my supps every day without missing a single day. Also been lifting weights a few times a week and going on walks.
The only thing DH and I have struggled so much with is the frequent BDing.
AF just finished yesterday (and it was heavier and about a day longer than usual?) and our first attempt is coming up in about 10 days and we haven’t DTD in about 2 weeks!! DH hasn’t released by himself either.
If we really commit to BDing every 2nd day from here onwards through ovulation, do we still have a good chance? Or should we not attempt this month and keep going with the frequent BD until next month and go for our first attempt then instead?
Thanks in advance!

If your husband hasn't released in 2 weeks I would consider skipping the month if that's an option. Sperm takes a while to form, and I'm worried such a long abstain (that's even longer than I recommend for pink swayers) might undermine an otherwise great sway.

It’s an option but kinda a last resort. Is there anything else we can do? We have about 10 days until O. What if we FR for the next few days to “bring him up to speed” then do every 2 days from next week? Does it work like that?

That doesn't work because the damage has been done. FR would only further deplete his sperm numbers. I would just have him release every 2-4 days and then have your attempt when you are ready to.

Hi DisneyBaby,
Wishing you all the best for your coming up attempt.
Atomic,
Can I ask a question here. If DH abstained during the AF time, around 7 days- is that ok?
How about the bd patterns?
Example - bd 1 or 2 days before AF started then no bd or release for 6 days.
Bd on cd 7 unprotected
Bd on cd 9 protected?
Bd on cd 12 (ths could be day before ovulation)
How can I make it O-2 O-1 and O day if I ovulate around CD13? ( Or is it better to do o-3, o-2, O-1 nd then O day too? - please advise)
Otherwise
Should DH release his own maybe one of the AF day eg - cd 6, then bd on 8, 11,12,13?

Thank you Jazmin!
Atomic, the plot thickens. I have come down with terrible food poisoning in the last 24 hours. Haven’t been able to eat or keep anything down. Is this yet another reason to skip this month?

I would not have your husband abstain that long. 5 days or less if possible. I would have him release once whenever it's convenient in the middle.

It is ok to BD O-2, o-1, and O Day. It is also ok to do O-3, O-2, O-1, and O Day. (I would always add one more to the day after you think O Day was, just in case it was delayed a bit) The only warning I would give is that sometimes when people start on O-3, and let's say they ovulate a day or two late, then their husband can get tired and not be able to continue. so just keep that in your mind, and give him a day off if need be O-3 or O-2

Probably, but you have to weigh that against how important it is to try this month for you.
I hope you're feeling better soon!

Thank you Atomic.
It was a 24 hour thing and I was back to normal.
I think we’ll see how we’re feeling as we get closer to Ov. DH has been releasing every couple days so far but we’ll see how we’re feeling.
Otherwise it’s Jan 2021 for us!

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
