    Boy sway next month

    Hi
I am silent follower and I have been soaking up all the advice so far.
I plan to sway next month
I am taking the following supplements
    2000 folic acid
    Fish oil 400mg dha
    1000mg l carnitine
    Centrum women multivit
    Fertile cm capsule
    Coq10

    Hubby is taking
    Nac
    Fish oil
    Maca root
    Folic acid
    L carnitine
    L arginine
    Coq10
    Zinc
    B12

I am following a high everything diet
Breakfast - weetabix with dates and mixed nuts
    Lunch- egg mayo sandwich
Dinner- any curry with chapati/pizza/ fries/
Snacks - salted nuts, crisps, bananas, apples
I am struggling on the drinks front - i have had green tea and lemon water but not religiously!

My cycle has been peak at cd16 for the last 3/4 months but this month I am on Cd21 with no positive opk! Im stressing abit to get it right! I am also stressing that my ph is only at 5.5/6 whilst hubbys is 7.5. Iknow its not proven to sway but i want to give it my all to hopefully sway boy!

Is there anything more/less I can do before we sway next month? I would love your input

    Thanks

First things first, you should not be taking carnitine, that's for your husband only. Fertile CM is also very bad for a blue sway, we've had scads of opposites and it has made several people's cycles go berserk. I would wean off of it.

can you bump the rest of this for me?? It's a little late here and since this is long I want to give you my best effort.

    Hi
I take L carnitine for thyroid issues as it helps keep my levels stable. I can get off it for now as my levels are stable now. Well the fertile cm has probably knocked my cycle out of whack because coincidentally i started taking it this month and i havent had my peak opk of ewcm. I havent take. It for long tho!
Thanks i would appreciate your help atomic. I thought i had it in the bag but this month has knocked my confidence due to the cycle going mental.

How long have you been on the carnitine, then? Are you not on medication for your thyroid?

Yep that's just what we see with the Fertile CM - often within very short order it makes people's cycles go nutty and it doesn't even seem to make more CM for about 2/3 of people anyway!

    Have hubby drop the Maca.

How much NAC, carnitine, arginine for DH?

I would much rather see your husband on a men's multivitamin like One a Day or Centrum over 50 (even tho he's not over 50, I just prefer the nutrient breakdown in this one) than those nutrients taken separately. Many of the standalone formulations have way too high a dose.

Diet looks fine but do be sure you're having both protein and carbs at every meal and most snacks. Apples, bananas, and especially crisps are low nutrient and are basically you eating calories for no good reasons. I would much rather see you eating more nutrient fruits (berries, citrus fruits) and dropping crisps totally (in favor of snacking on cheese, nuts, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bean dips) unless you're having them as a treat. They do not sway, and eating high sodium, low nutrient foods does not help sway blue.

pH typically goes up only around ovulation so if you're not about to ovulate that pH is normal (even higher than average!) Hubby's pH is exactly what it should be. The sky high pH claimed by some sites is a) not normal or beneficial and b) is likely artificial, coming from people drinking very alkaline drinks and nothing to do with sperm. his pH is good!!

If you've only been on carnitine for 2-3 weeks I would wean back off of that. It WILL interfere with your ability to conceive over time. It raises testosterone - not a little bit in a healthy way, like what we want for our sway, but so much that some people will actually get a kind of drug-induced PCOS from it, and stop ovulation or develop a very short LP. Additionally, most reputable sources agree it should not be used during pregnancy or when trying to conceive because we do not know if it's safe. You have a very delicate hormonal balance when you are conceiving and in early pregnancy and it's best to not mess around with things that may change that.

Everything else looking good! You don't need necessarily to eat more fruit, just better quality than bananas. They really just don't have much going on.
