    Pls comment on my sway
    Apologies If this is in the wrong place - I didn't want to put it in the add your girl sway yet as it is still a work in progress and I am not pregnant!

    I'm pretty old now so that should affect my fertility but am still concerned that I might conceive first time (as with my two boys) so would like to get the sway right when we TTC just in case. Please point out any glaring problems and/or suggest anything else I could do. Thanks!

    Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
    Averaging 1000 -1200 calories cals 20-25g fat. 30-35g protein. sodium under 700mg (I know all this is a bit low at the moment am trying to get the hang of the diet at the moment)
    If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
    6 weeks
    Did you skip breakfast regularly?
    Yes always
    Did DH change his diet with you?
    yes but not as radically
    Comments regarding DH's diet-
    Much less red meat and sodium
    DId you consume alcohol?
    A couple of drinks per week


    DId you try to limit caffeine?
    yes - just one cup of tea a day - mainly because I have always drank loads and have two boys on it!
    Any Diet Details?
    peppermint tea x 3 a day and lots of diet coke

    WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
    What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?
    Have lost 3kg so far BMI now 21.5
    Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?
    Stopped exercising although was never a gym bunny

    Things that make me feel great about my sway:
    It is different from how my boys were conceived and I'm ancient so that must help too!

    Hi Emily.

    I'd def. like to see you increase protein and sodium for sure (for your health and the health of a future baby, it's important not to cut back too far), and also a bit more cals and fat will help you conceive more quickly and help preserve ovulation.

    Don't jump and dump, lay flat for at least 5 min and 15 may be better with everyhting else you're doing + age.

    I really don't want people taking Sudafed at all and 100% for sure don't mix and match with antihistamine.

    Thanks Atomic, am still finding my way round the diet - juggling the protein/calories. I suspect that my fitnesspal isn't very good at sodium so am probably eating more than it says.

    I'm taking the antihistamine for hayfever (as with both boys) so I guess that I didn't really see it as a mix and match situation - just trying to reduce cm which I think has been a key problem for myself and my sister (4 boys between us). Will stay clear of Sudafed - thanks for heads up

    If you're already on antihistamine for hay fever and still getting scads of CM, you can add Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to EITHER Claritin or Zyrtec (not both.) Benadryl works differently and you can layer it with Claritin or Zyrtec.
