Is this Vegan protein powder allowed in LE diet?
Dear ladies,
I've been reading this forum for a while, but this is my first post!
I've been a vegetarian for 12 years now (I'm 30 years old). I'm desperately swaying for a girl... I have no children yet, but my husband has 2 boys (from different ex-wives, uh-la-la...)
I've researched a lot and I decided to try the LE diet (my current BMI is around 20,5). I've been thinking of taking this vegan protein powder as a replacement for dinner. Do you think it is a good idea? Best Vegan Protein Powders – Buy Plant-Based Supplements | Sunwarrior | | Classic Protein
Thank you in advance and nice to "meet" you!

I would have to say no....it doesn't matter on the LE diet if your protein is plant based or animal based, it's still protein.
Protein is the one nutrient I have a really really hard time staying within limits on, to the point of eating candy to make up calories but avoiding protein! Pasta, breads, starches all have protein. Why would you want to supplement protein when the LE diet is so restrictive on it??
40-50grams of protein really isn't much. A serving of cheese (which is like a 3cm ****, that's it!) has 8-11 grams of protein already! A slice of bread has 4 grams. A serving of pasta 8 grams. Aspartame low cal yogurt has 6 grams. So I really don't see how in the world you'd have room under the LE diet protein cap to add anything protein heavy!
Not to mention, that stuff you linked to is not even food, it's marketed to bodybuilders to build muscle. Which is definitely NOT what you want for a girl sway, you want to avoid building any muscle at all, so that's a definitely NO on those powders.Last edited by LacePrincess; October 16th, 2012 at 12:04 PM.

Np! I shudder at those protein powders anyways. Anything that's sold in 5 gallon pails isn't food in my book. Yikes, lol.
