What would you do?
Hi Atomic et all,
So hubby and I can only dtd tomorrow and I just started rephresh (on my 2nd applicator) with being 3 days apart. I made sure my last applicator is 12-24 hrs before we bd which is planned for tomorrow. I've been tracking my cycles last few months and if things are the way they have been going then I'm set to ovulate this weekend (so another 4-5 days). I did a opk test today which came back as negative as suspected and I also think it'll be negative tmr too. Because we can only be bd tmr what should I do? It won't be positive ...should I just let this be my one attempt..this kind of sounds like shettles and then my other concern is what if I have an opposite. I do plan to use sylk tomorrow to

I would BD whenever you get a positive opk and let that be your one attempt. Why can you only BD today? If you're worried about an opposite, that's normal to freak out a bit once your attempt is near. You do have to go into it knowing swaying is never a guarantee. The whole idea is to just push the odds in favor of a girl. Good luck!

Well, if you can only BD tomorrow (today now) you can only BD tomorrow, and hope that O comes early because 4-5 days out is going to be very slim chances.
So yeah this woud be your one attempt. But I'd consider another attempt if you get to 4-5 days and then get a positive OPK at that time because that would be very slim chances of conception.
I am confused what you mean about "what if I have an opposite?" An opposite is always a possibility, even with the best of sways. Are you asking if I think having an attempt with Shettles timing will CAUSE an opposite? Timing doesn't sway.

Thanks Atomic. Just did an opk and got the following..is this a positive? Should I wait till I becomes more darker. I'm assuming the bd I did on Tuesday is now null.

The test line needs to be as dark or darker than control line. A fainter test line is still a negative test.
Yes a BD from Tuesday will not be good any more and you should have another attempt on whatever day it's possible to do that. i would not hold off for a positive OPK if you can only have attempt on a certain day. There is no magic to BD on the day of positive OPK, it's just a good point in time to conceive with one attempt.

Thanks Atomic. I did another opk and it's getting darker but still not there so I'm holding off..my CM is creamy white and I usually get lots of CM around ovulation time. Does it matter what CM type I have? should it be more dry for swaying pink

We have not found quality/consistency and even amount of CM to be predictive of whose sways work and whose do not. After getting two CM opposites personally (got a boy with NO visible EWCM and a girl with plenty) and seeing thousands more (literally) I have a really hard time belieing that anything we see about CM is making any difference at all. There are possibly changes we cannot see with the naked eye but nothing we can really judge from the outside.
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
