Advice?

I currently have a Mirena IUD placed and will be making an appt next week to have it removed. It has caused terrible headaches and mood swings for me. We are going to start TTC in June/July.

My questions is if I have my IUD removed and get on the BC pill, to regulate my cycle since I haven't had one since my IUD was placed, should we take extra precautions once I start taking SP and peppermint tea? I've read that those can cause BC to be less effective.

Do not use them along with the birth control pill. Wait till you have your first ovulation and AF after coming off the BCP (and you can even TTC that month and try to catch the first egg). Then start your hormonal supps at that first AF coming off the pill

Thank you Atomic! I'm getting it out today and will start the BC pill. I may ask if I can have my T and E levels checked. I'm pretty sure I have high T because I have really bad acne and very mild facial hair. Plus I have crazy mood swings. I haven't been off BC longer than 3 months for over 12 years.

My IUD removal is step 1 of TTC and swaying for pink so I'm very excited to have it taken out!
