    Question about vitex

I finally got AF after I hadn't had it since January 25th. I ordered vitex and got it. My question is: do I start taking it when AF is done or now? Do I continue taking it while on AF? If we are trying should I takeit the then too?

    Thanks a lot!

Vitex should be af-o. Here's the thing though, idk if you've seen more recent posts about vitex but it's now advised to take vitex for 6 weeks BEFORE your first attempt. Then resume af-o. Also, idk why you af was MIA but vitex can mess up o and I'd hate for you to start taking it and it makes things worse. Ppl haven't been getting great results with it any how. It's pretty 50/50 with getting desired gender while using it. I would as atomic her opinion. I just wanted to give you the info that I have come across lately but I'm no expert and Idk your situation

I started vitex a little over 3 weeks ago, just a few days before I Oed last cycle. I will continue taking it continuously unless it seems to be delaying O, but I am taking it to bring O forward and lenghthen my LP, so I don't expect it to delay O. So far I am loving it!

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I take vitex more for my short lp than ttc girl. It delayed my o by 4 days at first but its coming back early this cycle. Jury is still out on lengthening my lp. This is my 4th cycle on it and supposedly you need 3 for it to work so fingers crossed x

If you're just a couple days into AF then it's fine to start vitex then. I do think it's best to hold off if you are about to ovulate because it can delay.

Yes, you keep taking vitex while on AF

I do think vitex sways pink, this is not being represented in our stats for now but biologically and anecdotally I do think it's a good pink sway tactic or I would have dropped it by now. It does cause an awful lot of trouble but I think that's part of how it sways.
