On the quest for advice
Hi girls, I'm completely new to ALL of this so please forgive what will seem like total ignorance on my part. ☺️ I have just started the LE diet and I am swaying pink! I am hoping to conceive (fingers and toes are crossed) in septmeber onwards. I already have a little boy and conceiving him was very easy (we were very lucky ). I 'think' I know what I'm doing with the diet: I've basically given up meat and fish and eating more white carbs than I ever did before!
However, I'm totally confused about timing on conceiving. Do we try every 3-4 days from the time my period ends? All the way through to when my fertile window finishes? Thank you for any advice.

Thank you for response Praying4agirl. I've read that DtD after a positive opk can limit your chances of getting pregnant at all? I guess that's why some women have been doing the LE diet for so long?
I think I might DtD every 4 days after my period and then when I'm supposed to be entering my fertile window (I have an app that tells me this) I can DTD once. That sort of makes sense I think?
Good luck with lucky months September. x

Hi and welcome,
My understanding is the one attempt at +opk vs doing e4d is largely just a personal decision.
One attempt at +opk requires closer monitoring of your cycle and using opks can stress some people out. The chances of conceiving if you dtd at +opk are good. Most people would generally end up with an O-1 (or O-2) attempt doing this.
Doing every 4 days takes some of the stress out, no need to use opks. Doing e4d means that no matter when you ovulate you'll end up with one viable attempt in the fertile window. Down side is you dont know at the time when the attempt will be relative to your o. You may end up with an attempt on o day (lower chance of conceiving as sperm may be too late for the egg) or an O-3/O-4 attempt which may have lower chances just due to number of sperm that end up surviving til the egg arrives. Alternatively some months you may get a O-1/O-2 attempt which are better odds. You just don't know.
Either way it's good to have another attempt 4 days after the attempt you think is the viable one just incase you o later than your expecting.
GL and sending pink dust your way.

Hi Reen and welcome, please give me a few days to reply. When you bump a post too soon it just goes back to the top of my new posts again and actually makes it take longer for me to answer.

I prefer most of you guys start off with one attempt. E4d is for people who have been trying for a while and/or are in a really big hurry to get pregnant for some reason like age or work schedules.
DTD at positive OPK is actually great chances of conception. It's about 1-2 days before ovulation, and O-1 and O-2 are the best odds of conception vs. any other cycle days.
So happy for you Treens, congratulations Sent from my SM-A225F using Tapatalk
