Can you go to a different doctor or ask your GP??
We really really want people to get clomid from a legit source. If you DO get it from another place please let me know so I can be sure you are not taking it in an unsafe way, but I strongly urge that everyone go through their doctor because it is a prescription medication.

Can you tell me exactly what I should say? I'm worried that my GP will ask why I didn't go to my OB.

I would be honest with your GP and say that you don't want your OB to know. You work closely with her/him and you want to keep your relationship professional. Any doctor can respect that, if not, get a different doctor !

If anyone checks back on here I'd be interested to know, if you had a scan whilst taking clomid, how many mature follicles you had?
I'm just curious of what to expect, whether its normal to have 2-3 follicles or not.
Clomid dosage:
Days taken (3-7 etc):
Mature follicles:
Outcome:
Thanks so much for any help if anyone does come back and look!

I can't, because every doctor seems to react a little bit differently. I agree with XX tho, I'd mention that you work for the OB and it's just something you don't want to deal with.

I've seen this so much all over the map that I'm not convinced this info tells anyone a whole lot. I don't really want anyone on more than 50 unmonitored anyway, and I have seen quite a few people get 2-3 follicles on Clomid but only get one baby.

Thanks Atomic. That's kind of what I was getting at so just what I wanted to hear.
I didn't want to get to the scan and get put off from TTC if there were 3 follicles etc. I'm guessing with a low sperm count, the chances of all 3 being fertilised would be lower than usual anyway (although I'm aware that anything is possible!)
I did think about just taking 25, but think I will go for 50 on days 5-9 and be scanned on cd12.

and many doctors will tell a couple to TTC anyway. It's harder than you think to fall pg especially with low sperm count.
I prefer 50. I know that 25 has worked for people, but I just feel like if you're going to take it, take enough so it actually works for you!
FXFXFX - and I'd ask if htey want you to come in later than CD 12 - I'm not sure stopping Clomid on CD 9 will end up with you ovulating only 3 days later as a general rule - all depends on how much you need to pay.

Me again ladies,
1) I called my friend who is a PA at an RE and told her I wanted clomid for a short LP and swaying for a girl..she said I could do a "clomid package" at their office but thinks I should go to my OB
2) called my family doctor for an appt. the girl scheduling thought I was crazy calling there for an appt but reluctantly scheduled me for tomorrow..
Wish me luck!

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
