Cycle shifted
My cycle has changed and I am not sure why. We use the rhythm method as birth control. I've gone from 28 days to 32 days and this late month it was 37 days! I am not sure why it's happening. Also it would last 3 days, then 4 days and now it's 5 days. Around age 18 the doctors dx with PCOS but my OB said they were wrong. She said my ovaries don't appear polycystic. I don't have any trouble conceiving at all. I did go through a miscarriage a few years back. We were pregnant with our rainbow baby just three months after the mc. Comments?

Are you taking anything herbal or vitamin related for any reason? What is your age?
Have you recently lost a bunch of weight or changed your diet (like become a vegetarian)?

I'm not on any medication right now of any kind. It's been a few months since I've taken any medication ie metformin/januvia. No weight loss no diet changes. I'm 32 with type 2 diabetes.

Hmm I wonder if the lack of metformin is beginning to catch up to you?? IF you do have some insulin resistance (and with diabetes, obviously you do) then stopping that medication may end up making your cycles change.
I would go in and discuss this with your doctor and let him/her know what is happening. If you are experiencing negative changes from stopping met, that may not be good for your health overall, not only your menstrual cycle.

I've only steadily taken metformin while pregnant. While pregnant with my first I was dx with gestational diabetes then about 3 years later I was dx with type 2. I go on and off my meds.

Gotcha. Well, some months are just weird due to stress or lack of sleep, but if you're getting concerned about it, then it may be something to follow up on, for sure.

OKay thanks. It's always been a problem with me. In my lifetime I've gone an entire year without a cycle. About 10 years ago it change. I had one every month. I've gotten used to getting one every month.
