Feeling discouraged
Last cycle I had spotting on both 8 and 9 dpo and ended that cycle with a 9 day LP. So this month I am on 200mg of progesterone. Today I am 8dpo and low and behold I am crampy, spotting red blood and extremely irritable/emotional. I have had a shorter LP since we started trying in December and both clomid and progesterone aren't fixing the issue. I have one month left on clomid and am feeling pretty discouraged that I may have messed up my cycles too much.
Since I am 38, I am not doing a hard sway. Just diet and exercise (eating roughly 1900 cal/day with 40-60 in fat and protein). However, my weight is now 104.6. Since, I am only 5'4", this brings my bmi to 17.8. I can't help but wonder if that is the cause. I am not sure what to do now.

Up cals to 2000, up fat to 60.
But that having been said, don't count yourself out yet. Prog. can make you have weird symptoms and it is ABSOLUTELY possible to be pregnant even with red spotting at this point.

I wish that was the case. AF showed up this morning. 9 day LP. I am questioning if clomid is even good for me.

I am sorry AF showed. Are you being monitored on clomid? I just turned 39 but did 2 cycles of clomid and feel it did nothing for me personally except mess things up. I was not being monitored so I don't really know for sure but I wouldn't take it again. Have you had any bloodwork to check out your hormones?

I am being monitored for a follicle study, but I haven't had any hormone tests while on it. I had my hormone levels tested prior to starting clomid.
Did you switch to anything else?

A small minority of people have seemed to get shorter LP on Clomid, but I have never been able to figure out why that is or what is going on.
What I have seen happen several times is people who did not get pg on Clomid (usually because they were running super strict sways) who dropped it, got pg the very next month with a DD.

No I have not switched to anything else. I have an appt on the 6th so we will see if she suggests anything else.

I am leaning towards dropping it this month. I only have one refill left and it isn't worth it if it is just messing things up. I am waiting for the doctor to call me and see if I can try femera, possibly.

Is it safe to go right from clomid to femera or would you take a month off?
