Did I blow it?
So I am due to ovulate around the middle of next week and I have really gone off the rails this past week. I have been eating like crap and only exercised once this week. I have a giant bruise on my leg and the doc told me to rest it so cardio is out. My hubby and I also DTD last night unprotected (he finished up elsewhere if you get my drift). Should I skip TTC this month? Will these screw ups effect my sway?

2boys0girls I had a question similar to this and I was told it should not matter! i don't know how to word it quite right but will give it my best. It takes 90 days for an egg to mature, that's why we need to be on the diet for 3 months. Now during these 90 days our body is taking in EVERYTHING we are doing and takes the average condition we have been putting our bodies through! So let's say for 80 days we do good and 10 days we do bad our bodies wold look more at the 80 days. This is why we are told to have cheat days on the diet. If it was as easy as making changes for one week then no one would be swaying as long as we do!

It depends on how long yo've been on the diet in total. If you've been on it 90 days or more, a little cheating is ok. If you haven't, then you have to weigh how strict of a sway you're doing overall and your likelihood of getting pregnant - if you're doing 9 zillion things to sway, the odds of getting pg in a given month are pretty low and sometimes it may be ok to just go ahead and TTC and figure on getting a BFN that month - that way you can prove to yourself that you can't get pg. with a superstrict sway and feel better about dropping things in future months.

Thanks Ladies! I've only been on the diet for 6 weeks so not too long. I actually started off doing the IG Diet. I guess I'll go for it and leave it in God's hands. I don't think I'm going to get prego immediately. Although, I had to have IVF for my first and my second I got pregnant with the second month of trying so I guess I shouldn't count myself out! Ha!

What atomic said. In your case I would definitely wait to TTC. Buckle down on the diet above all, it is the biggest sway factor. Pick up daily cardio when you can, stay sedentary until then.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1
- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

How old are you??
If you can wait it out, I would. 6 weeks is different than 90 days and I have seen quite a few people go ahead with TTC after only a few weeks on diet thinking that since it had taken them X number of months in the past, it would take that long again, only to get pg right away.
Diet longer than 12 weeks has gotten best results.

Borderline - late 30's I tend to think people should TTC sooner rather than later but I am feeling a little wary for you since you're iffy on diet and not exercising.
Let's talk about the bruise - is this normal for you?? What happened (is there an explanation). ARe you taking any supps that could contribute to bruising??

I would wait at 37. Time on the diet is just so crucial.

I keep thinking I've blown it too - but then I remember what I've accomplished. I Lost. Fair chunk of weight, and even on a cheat day im betting my cals and fat are still way lower than with my previous pregnancies.
I don't have the luxury of time so I TTC earlier in the diet but didn't conceive. So now I've been on it longer, more cheats (including today).

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
