Best OPK for TTC girl?
Has anyone tried the clear blue advanced opk? I'm wondering if it would be useful in a pink sway to have the attempt when the test is showing high fertility, and stop when it shows peak.
Wondering if anyone has any thoughts, since it would be significantly more expensive than the internet cheapies
Thanks!

I haven't tried that brand before but I don't trust the internet cheapies. I bought a heap of the internet cheapies but had a few of the more expensive name brand ones on hand. When I though O day was approaching I started testing with the cheapies and they kept coming up negative, not even a faint line. I knew o was very near so I tested with the more expensive ones and bingo a strong positve. I took more of the cheapies and still no line. If I didn't trust my own body I would have missed it all together. But I know other women use the cheapies with no problems, I think I just had a dud batch. Good luck hun!

I did try the internet ones and was pleasantly surprised by how well they performed. every month they have consistently showed a rise, peak and fall in my hormones at the appropriate time in my cycle. I have just got a positive pregnancy test based off them.
But each to their own, if you are worried about the cheaper ones not being accurate, for peace of mind, maybe you can go for the more expensive ones

I'm worried about the same, Violet. I always bought the cheapies on eBay, a brand called Artron and they work like a dream. But they are getting really hard to find, so the ones I have now are different. I'm on CD 13 and have only had they very faintest line possible. If it was a pregnancy test, it could be negative.
I am doing a test run of saw palmetto, so technically it's possible that I'm not O'ing yet. But I have had a few days of fertile CM so I suspect I am. Which makes me think the opks are the problem.
I am temping as well so I'll know soon enough, just having trouble with the idea of spending so much!

Some of the Internet cheapies are WAY more reliable than Clearblue. I hate Clearblue and I feel like it makes TONS of trouble for people.
I don't want you guys doing timing unless you absolutely MUST anyway. You can end up getting like 4,5,6,7,8 "high" readings in a row before "peak" and I think it's best just to do peak/positive OPK strip anyway.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Good advice. Think I will pass on the clear blue and look for my old faithfuls. The pic below is today's test. It's the darkest line by far that I've had on these things. Rather frustrating...

Wondfo and Babi brand have also gotten good results if you can track those down.

When I was on the IG website a lot of women were having problems with the clear blue digital O test that had the dual hormone indicator on it. I used, and still like to use, even though it is expensive, is just the plain clear blue digital ovulation test without 'dual hormone indicator' written on the box. I usually buy them on eBay and they are a bit cheaper then than buying them in a pharmacy. I tried a few of the cheapo sticks that you buy in bulk from eBay and they just didn't work at all so I gave up on them. I also used Pregnosis ones from the chemist warehouse that were very accurate test strips.
