PCOS Diet Qs
Are there limits on sugar on the PCOS diet? I've been counting the calories of course but haven't been paying much attention to how much sugar I'm consuming. I'm not going crazy or anything but I'll often have a chocolate Lindor square after dinner or a cookie, or cake which I've been craving lately! I also have a bowl of ice cream with homemade chocolate sauce a couple of times/week.
Also, is there another "save" for low potassium besides coconut water? I just can't stomach the stuff but I worry sometimes that I'm under on potassium. I've been eating more bananas lately and do eat a lot of potatoes but I don't have either every day. Just wondering if there is something I should always make sure I have on hand for those bad days where I know I'm low.

It depends on the situation.
If you are on PCOS Diet as a preventative measure (as in, you do NOT have PCOS and/or have gained weight on standard LE) then on occasion it's ok to have sugar. but it is NOT allowed for people who are on it for PCOS or because of insulin resistance.
Anything with potassium in it is fine. V8 juice is very high in potassium. Although you may want to just try a different brand, some of the coco waters are terrible and then others are pleasant (that's the only reason I recommend Taste Nirvana brand, it's palatable)

Ok, so I'm going to pay more attention to my sugar intake. Not diagnosed with PCOS but suspected insulin resistance unfortunately :-/
Thanks! I'll see if I can get Taste Nirvana brand around here.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
