PCOS whole wheat vs whole grain
Is whole grain the same as multigrain? Also, I noticed in the PCOS diet thread that whole wheat pasta is recommended but NOT whole wheat bread. Did I understand that right? We eat mostly white or whole wheat pasta but I rarely buy multigrain pasta just b/c it's a little harder to find and the grocery stores here don't always have it in stock.
I'm going to eat the last of the tasty maple french toast flavoured white English muffins and then I'm switching!Mama to four sweet boys

Those are sneaky ways they try to sneak cornmeal into stuff and call it health food. Whole wheat is generally better than whole or multigrain for PCOS because the cornmeal issue (with the exception of thing that are ACTUALLY packed full of grains of various types)
Whole wheat pasta is fine As is whole wheat bread EXCEPT for those people who are on the PCOS-type diets for fertility issues (not PCOS) because many of them have done better on gluten free diets. Wheat may muck up fertility for some people and they may need to do PCOS diet with more rice/corn base, while others may have to avoid cornmeal in particular because of PCOS. It's two different subsets of people, hope that makes sense!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hm ok, I was hesitant to do whole wheat b/c it feels very similar to how I ate when I conceived my boys but I will trust your opinion to not just do the opposite of what I was doing before. I almost never ate white flour (pizza crust the main exception) but I will admit that my diet was definitely blue-friendly in other ways (loads of cereal, constant snacking, high calories, etc). So hopefully I had boys in spite of eating whole wheat everything.

Remember white/refined flour didn't exist for most of human history and yet almost 50% of bsbies were still girls when only whole wheat was available. That can't be it! My mom ate 100% whole wheat for her whole life, she conceived 2 of each gender.

Hello everyone. I am new here but not new to swaying. I have 3 boys who are 7, 5 and 18 months old. I did not sway with my first two as I knew nothing about swaying and I wanted them to be boys...
