PLEASE HELP IM NEW & TTC GIRL - has the big o ruined it for me?!?!

Hello everyone this is my first post I've been swaying for 2 months and concieved this month. I did the LE DIET, lost a lot of weight last couple months, skipped breakfast, no supplements except Folic acid. 9 day abstain (although dh ejaculated twice) and I had the big o! Has this completely ruined my chances for a girl because of this? How important is this in a sway? Are the statistics on it significant? Also did a 3/4 day cut off x x

    Hi and welcome!

The Big O is not a big deal. It's one of those "old school" tactics that I keep in the mix just because it's possible, but we've done tons of polls and threads on this and had many moms of girls/all girls who had the big O when they got their daughters. We have a thread about the science (largely dubious) underlying the idea here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...s-swaying.html

I had a big O when I got my daughter.

Thank you so much! I've had a good read through the threads they are extremely helpful! Just been analysing some failed girl sways and a lot of them have had a big I and that's worrying me slightly! But then again like you said I've seen failed boy sways and they have had a big o and concieved a girl! I'm just hoping it's not a deal breaker for me! Xx

One attempt is getting awesome results. A good way to ensure one attempt without temping is BD every 4 days. This puts you in with one attempt in the fertile window without having to think too much about it. GL!

One attempt, LE Diet longer than 12 weeks plus alcohol and coffee and fiber, cardio exercise 60 min a day 6-7 days a week, Clomid or FEmara if you can get it

For DH - smoking, jogging or riding a bike if he does those things.

These things have all been quite effective for us and/or have been shown in studies to sway. The rest, while of course you can always pick and choose lots of other sway tactics if you believe in them, have not seemed to be as successful for us.
