High hcg levels
So was not planning on trying till next month after I started clomid and metformin, but period was late, and I was shocked to find out I was pregnant! We used the pull out method which has always worked for us in the past, so I was pretty confused. Got my hcg levels taken and they are 109,000...so instead of the 4/5 weeks I thought I was based on when I thought I ovulated, they're thinking I'm 8 weeks. This makes more sense because we had a real attempt earlier in my cycle thinking I wouldn't ovulate till much later. I'm hoping that's what it is and I just read my cervical position and cervical fluid wrong(wasn't taking temps at the time) my cycles are never normal, usually ovulate anywhere around day 24-35, and my last period started May 28 so it would definitely be weird if I ovulated so early. If I am only 5 weeks though it seems like high hcg levels mean twins or molar pregnancy, definitely a little worried about that. I go in on Monday for an ultrasound, so fingers crossed I'm 8 weeks along. Any one else have high hcg levels, were you just off on when you thought you had conceived or was there another reason?

Congrats lindz!!
HCG levels are weird things and can sometimes just be higher than normal for no good reason but by far the most likely explanation is that you Oed earlier.
Were you doing any kind of diet? Supps?
I Oed early the month i got my DD! Good luck and pink dust.

You are likely a lot further along than you think!

Ya I wouldn't be surprised if I have somewhat high hcg levels because I felt like mine might have been high with my son. I've been loosely following the le diet since March, 5/6 days of 60 minutes of cardio a week, drinking Metamucil with aspartame in it and skipping breakfast. I'm hoping it's enough. I've been obsessing over having a girl for so long now and I feel bad for my husband. It would be so nice to enjoy this pregnancy instead of worrying over whether or not I'll ever have a daughter..

Sounds like a great sway! You can't tell what your HCG levels are based on symptoms.
Good luck and pink dust!

Went in for the ultrasound and I'm 9 weeks along! I'm hoping that it being a somewhat "surprise" baby instead of a conceiving at a time where I was obsessing and actively trying might make it more likely be a girl! Heart beat 182. I'm assuming high heart rates aren't necessarily gender specific, just an old wives tale?

Hey, thanks Atomic for your reassuring message. I’m feeling a little better health wise although the thrush medication wasn’t helpful at all, I think it actually made things worse…?! Of more...
