Timing and frequency help for a newbie!

Hi ladies! Can someone please advise me regarding frequency and timing while ttc girl? DH is nearly 37. I just started doing opk a few days ago and this morning there is a line that is just a little lighter than the control line and I do have some EWCM. I'm totally new to all of this, so if someone could break it down pretty simply I would much appreciate it!!

Also, we haven't started trying yet and won't for a couple of months, but I'm trying to figure my cycles out and get a good plan in place. Thanks so much!!

What cycle day are you on??

Sometimes you can use where you are in your cycle to decide whether or not to have your attempt. The trick is that sometimes OPK are just being bratty and don't ever go totally pos, and it's better to be in with an attempt too soon than to wait and wait for an opk that never comes. So you may want to just DTD in this situation instead of waiting for a darker one, becuase the odds are you'll O within the next couple days anyway. So like if you know you nearly always O on CD 14 or 15, and you get that almost-pos on CD 13, I'd prob. attempt! Because you wouldn't want to hold out another day if the egg might drop CD 14, if that makes sense.

Then, you'd prob. want to go to every 4 days after that. This covers you in case of a delayed ovualtion or if it wasn't quite positive yet and you're still a few days out from O.

Ahh, thanks so much Atomic! Cycle day 13 today. I used to have very regular cycles 28 days and ovulated right around day 14. But since estrogen therapy cycles have only been about 17 days max. I came off estrogen dec 30 so this is my first cycle without and I'm interested to see how quickly things will go back to normal. I do have some EWCM today so I think maybe I'm getting back into a good rhythm. So if I O on cd 14, then maybe attempt on day 13 and then four days after that, again on day 17??

Planning to start tying in march. Do you think this will be enough time to get rid of the estrogen? I'm also taking vitex 225mg once a day.

I would personally not recommend vitex for you. Vitex has a way of messing up the cycle, so if you want a nice normal cycle, vitex is not gonna help you with that. Plus, only mediocre results for pink.

Yes, that's what I'm describing, IF you get a line that's pretty darn dark but not quite positive on CD 13, have attempt that day. If it's not nearly positive, I'd probably wait.
