PCOS diet questions
Hi atomic, just a few questions from the pcos diet thread. Are raisins ok to eat or are they too sugary? Is going wheat free something we should all be doing? Do breakfast biscuits like wholegrain belvita contain too many nutrients?

Many people use the PCOS-type diet and not everyone has the same severity of symptoms. You have to go off of your overall diet and also your individual tolerances. Some on the diet could occasionally have raisins while others would not.
I do find fresh fruit to be better than dried in terms of carb tolerance.
Wheat free is well worth a try for people who are having trouble conceiving. NOt everyone needs to do that though and in fact, many times gluten free foods are actually carbier than wheat ones so you have to pay attention to that. Switching from whole wheat to eating a bunch of rice/corn is not an improvement for PCOSers.
Belvita does have quite a lot of nutrients and I'd go light with them.
