Those with not much weight to lose
Hello again, I'm sorry as this is probably
answered somewhere but have not been able to locate -
How should the length of time on diet and exercising change if you are smaller and do not have tonnes of weight to lose?
I'm 35 yrs old, was 63kg 4 weeks ago (I think 170cm high), have been watching what I eat and already am 58-59kg. Pants are feeling great but we're not even TTC yet - still breastfeeding and don't think I'm even ovulating yet so it's a way off.
Thankyou for any advice !

Sorry I also realised I'm in kg (in Australia) -
So converted its 138lb down to 127-130lb - I've been eating 1380 calories a day and trying to stick within the LE limits of protein and fat etc.

When I was doing LE I couldn't afford any more weight loss so I upped cals a bit and cut down exercise from 6-7 days a week to 4-5. Since you're breastfeeding, eating the upper limits of LE would be good.

Oh i just realized you're not even TTC yet. You could even just go vegetarian for now until your fertility returns.

You need to eat WAY more than that. I want you on 1800-2000 cals, still trying to stick within 50-60 g protein and fat. If the weight is still coming off, increase even more till it stops. I do not think you need to lose any more weight at ALL.
It is not only that you have very little weight to spare, it is also that you are breastfeeding and your milk will go at that cal intake. Additionally your ovulation is going to stay gone a very long time if your body "thinks" you are not getting enough food to sustain a new pregnancy. It "wants" you to stay alive for your baby(ies) that are already alive instead of potentially risking your life on a new baby if food is scarce!
Additionally additionally - you may not even reap the full benefits of LE Diet if you are on it for ages and ages and end up having to actually eat a lot more eventually just to get O going. It is WAY better to start off higher than you need and cut back gradually over time instead of starting off brutally low, and having to eat more! Your body will perceive that as a change in condition for the better, not the worse!

this is also an option for people and if you think you're like 6 months or more out from TTC, I really really really really really strongly advise you to not go on LE Diet that far out, and just go vegetarian instead.

She got an opposite, but you still need to make those changes. Many people who have, have still gotten girls doing that.
So happy for you Treens, congratulations Sent from my SM-A225F using Tapatalk
