    psyllium Husk when pregnant?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I took it during my sway and it helped a lot with keeping me regular but I stopped due to losing too much weight, now I’m 16 weeks pregnsnt and think I could benefit (toilet wise) from tsking them again but not sure if it’s ok during pregnancy?

Yes, it's safe but honestly I prefer something that has stool softeners in it such as Miralax for you guys when prego. The psyllium can be kind of binding and hard on our rears (and trust me, you may not know this yet having only one little one but over time each subsequent pregnancy and birth really wreaks havoc in the "back door" area.) The psyllium is proven safer but if things have really reached a peak you may want the stool softener aspect.

Be sure you take your prenatal or multivitamin at a different time of day as the fiber.
