To sway or not
I am a 41 year old female with 3 sons.i am interested in trying the diet to sway for a girl. However I am wondering if it’s worth my effort to try. My last child was conceived at 38 through iui, as we were not getting pregnant. There was no issue with both of us at the time. My husband has low swim up now 3 years later. I have just tried ivf with PGD, but all embryos except one was abnormal, but it was male. All the females were abnormal unfortunately. I spent $30000 and was devastating to receive this outcome. I live in Canada and drove down to usa to have this treatment performed.
If I try natural methods with diet, timing and supps, I may never get pregnant now at my age. If I go the iui route with diet and supps do I stand a chance of getting a girl?

IUI route? Can you please elaborate? You can sway while doing IUI. And in fact the hormonal medications they give you during IUI rounds may
I put a premium on quick time to conception for ALL moms but esp. those over 40. That is the way we do things around here because if you cannot get pregnant you have NO chance of a baby girl. So YES please do change your diet (we have an alternate diet that will be both more beneficial for egg quality and will also help your pink sway) and you can find that here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc...-sugar-issues=
None of the supplements have worked and you should leave them all out other than folic acid or folate (skip fiber please)
Timing does not work. It doesn't sway at all, you can't do it with the IUI (and if your doctor suggests it, get a new doctor because IUI sperm cannot be transferred at the wrong time) As you know already time is not our friend here and we don't have the luxury of time to spend trying methods that have been totally debunked. Full case against timing is here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...le-timing.html
I got my daughter at 41 after having had 4 boys over 21 years! I did it with diet and number of attempts, but NOT timing.
I got 3 of my 4 boys with girl timing! You CAN do this and if you need IUI that's totally fine.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Wow I’m so happy to get some hope. So I did the gonal f injections for iui at age 38 for my 3rd child. The first 2 were natural. I was age 30 and 31 then. Much younger and my husband did not have the swim up issue.
So you are saying diet, and iui May work for me and No supplements except the ones u mentioned above. I took high amounts of folic acid (pregvit folic 5) with my 3rd during the first trimester. I was worried about autism. As my second son as autism. I also took vitamin d(to help with gestational diabetes, but still had to take insulin injections). I am trying to open the diet link from my phone but isn’t working. I will try next from another source.
So for your daughter, you just did diet, no timing and no supplements?

How long does one need to be on a specific diet for before TTC? My next cycle starts next week.
Also do I need to purchase the diet plan specifically for me? I am confused about what to follow.
so it would not make a difference in achieving a female gender if I try naturally or IUI?

Yes that's what I'm saying. It is ~likely~ but not totally proven that Gonal F will sway pink anyway. But if there's any way to do IUI + Femara we KNOW Femara sways pink.
I would love to see you taking folate instead of folic acid as it will be even more preventative of autism. High dose is fine, start that now, continue on thru entire first tri and then gradually wean off by spacing doses further and furhter out till down to one per week, then you can drop them.
Vit. D during pregnancy is great! You would start prenatal and DHA supp at BFP. Folate should be started right away.
Yes sometimes you need to use a different browser on phone to open links - if using Tapatalk we have bad luck with that one.
For my daughter I did just diet plus one attempt (inadvertently as we did not even know that was a thing at that time.) No timing. My husband smoked a pipe now and then.
Re time on diet, at 41 as u know time is not our friend, so we dispense with the "X number of weeks on diet" and just go for it. We may have only 6-24 months left in your fertile window so we need to run the hurry up offense and try as soon as it is feasible to arrange it.
I don't do custom diets. The sway plans would not be appropriate for you anyway as they have lots of other stuff that is not necessary/feasible with IUI. The diet I posted the link to would be ideal for you both for your sway and for upping odds of conception overall (since we don't want to cook your eggs with too many simple refined carbs!) We also have a premade 21 day diet plan (it's not customized, though) available here. I'm here to answer all your questions about diet so just hit me up whenever you have any questions or concerns.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Is one attempt going to be in ovulation day?
If my cycle starts on Monday August 13, I would have only few days on the diet before I start any meds before an iui cycle if I decide to go that route for this up coming cycle. I am unsure if the clinic will listen to me about going with femara. It’s usually the drs call n I am sure gonal f injections is what they will use. If I remember correctly I think there was a trigger injection too.
So if I’m on diet for only 2 weeks before I ovulate, and the clinic does not approve femara, I really haven’t done much swaying. Would u advice I wait a month or 2 before I try iui? In the meantime I thought I would try naturally and in diet for 2 weeks and one attempt. Would your diet suggestions or plan be different for me if I don’t do iui?
You are referring to the atomic fertility diet for me to try? I just briefly looked at it, but I am wondering how good that would be for somebody like me who is prone to GD.
What would the proportion of protein , fat and carb me on this diet?
I have to really read and go through every link, but this we what my present diet is. FYI I am 41 yrs and 3 months old.
I will send you my diet after I put my kids to bed. Thank you so much for your help

So my diet contains mainly these foods at the moment.
Carbs- brown rice, quinoa, once a week sweet potato and potato , on weekends pizza, pasta, fries. Roti/chapati once a week , weight watchers toast
Veg-brocolli, carrots, snap peas, asparagus, corn, cucumber, mushrooms, zucchini, peppers, celery, okra, gourds , butternut, spinach, Swiss chard, kale
Fruit- banana , apples, . Not daily though. Red to improve on fruit intake
Protein-soy and tofu are my main ones, legumes or beans on a week, seafood twice a week( tilapia, salmon , trout or Tiger shrimp ),2 eggs daily, protein shake (Vega) daily. I do not eat chicken, beef, pork, lamb etc !
Love bran cereal, oats or granola , , peanut butter with jam on toast,
Unsweetened Almond milk with cereals, and smoothie. I do not take much cows milk.
Fats- Some cheddar cheese with eggs , cottage cheese with peanut butter powder. Low fat Greek yogurt. Pecans and nuts when I buy them. I’m trying not to buy them.
I use the lose it app, and I try to aim for 1200 calories a day, as I’m trying to loose weight. At the moment I am off the wagon, as so down after the ivf didn’t work out.

It doesn't matter because timing doesn't sway. If you're asking me "I'm worried about doing IUI because it is on ovulation day" please DON"T worry about that because timing does not sway. IUI may sway ~slighty~ blue but it's not due to timing and the medication you use for IUI will very likely counteract much of the effect of the IUI anyway.
I do think Gonal F sways pink and likely even more than Femara, it's just that we don't have the data to back it up yet.
Trigger is neutral
At 41 we DO NOT have the luxury of taking time to do diet. Please just start diet and do the IUI as soon as possible. We are looking at possibly only a few months of time (fertility does plummet unfortunately between 41 and 43 and we're all on our own timelines with this; some stay fertile for 2-3 more years, others are running out of time even at just 41)
YOur diet looks quite good already to me and I'd carry on with that if it's working for you. I suspect that changing diets now will simply add stress (that "control freak" stress which may sway blue anyway) without giving any time for the diet to even do anything. I do want you on FULL FAT dairy only. From here on in. No skim dairy. It's terrible for blood sugar and egg quality.
I would prefer to see you on 1500 cals a day as I believe that's better for a heatlhy pre-pregnancy diet but if you prefer 1200, that would very likely be an even stronger pink sway (NOTE to others now reading this who are going to come to me and say "but u said 1200 will be a stronger pink sway" that is for THIS person, in THIS unique situation, and NO ONE ELSE. Only about 1-3% of swayers should be that low in calories and this happens to be one of those 1-3% of people because she has weight to spare, is running a "hurry up offense", is not doing the full on LE Diet, and may have issues with insulin response and egg quality. This advice does not apply to ANYONE ELSE aside from the person I am talking to in this thread)
I would like to see you eating 3x a day and not grazing all day and if htere's any way to eliminate sugar totally (even in jam and granola) I would do that.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you Atomic for your response.concerning the full fat dairy - I don’t drink any diary due to the sugar in it, thus I go with unsweetened almond milk. I don’t have much yogurt. A Little cheddar or feta on eggs. Should I make the switch from almond to full fat milk now? I can if needed.
How about DH diet for improving sperm quality?
I am thinking I may try naturally this month first. Do I just try one attempt on ovulation date and does my husband not release for as many days as possible before we DTD? Should I do anything differently? Did u get pregnant naturally at 41, and did you have any fertility issues?
How about trying to lower the ph etc? As from what You are saying, if I will just stay with my current diet n do gonal f with iui, it’s the exact same procedure as how I got my last son. I’m
Not swaying at all.
?
can this baby be a boy ?
