Antihistamines and CM
I'm leading up to OV, starting to get fertile CM, etc.
Yesterday evening I had a fair bit of EWCM.
Last night I took an antihistamine before bed because I'm a bit congested, not intentionally to dry up CM. It's Actifed if that matters...
This morning and most of today I seem to have either no CM or small amounts of dry-creamy CM. Is this normal? Does an antihistamine make CM vanish completely, or dry it up making it seem less fertile? How long does this effect last?

That's what always happens to me when I take an antihistamine. NO CM. That's why we take it for swaying, of course.
My experience is that Zyrtec dries me up for about 24 hours. If memory serves, Actifed doesn't last as long and should be out of your system more quickly. If you make extra effort to stay hydrated, it may leave your system sooner.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

thanks for the info! I was wondering if my body was playing tricks and if I'm not really gearing up to OV

Consider yourself lucky that antihistamine works so well for you, rainbow! For me it makes it less abundant, but some ewcm stays even with a one two punch of both zyrtec and benedryl....

How important is it to swaying is it? Because i'm going to have an attempt tonight but haven't taken one and not really sure what my CM is doing because of the Rephresh. Before I used it yesterday it was creamy.

I'm no expert, but I think it's only necessary if you have a lot of ewcm. Personally, I've decided this time to not do both rephresh and antihistamines as I think the two in combination make it too hard for me to get pregnant.

mocha - it's not a deliberate part of my sway - I worry it would prevent pregnancy too much!
LL- it probably sways quite well... but not sure if it'd be overkill if you're using rephresh too. how long is your cut off?

Hopefully about 3 days.... I've ovulated on CD15 for about 4 months in a row but not this month and my last cycle ended up being 34 and not 27 days so think probably CD20 or there abouts. MY OPKS aren't doing a nice fade in pattern at all i'll get a pretty dark negative, then not even a line negative, followed by a slightly darker negative! So frustrating.
DP has been abstaing since CD 7 and is shall we say over it now. So don't want to waste the the abstaining so going to go for a cut off and maybe frequent release and an O+12 depending when I ovulate.2 yrs old ~ 4 yrs old ~ TTC Now!
