Longer period
Is a longer period common while swaying? I’m on day 8, which I know is normal for some, but not for me. I’m usually 5 or 6 days TOPS. It’s very light and almost just spotting. I’m just curious, thank you in advance

Tell me all the supplements you're taking.
To answer your question, no, not for pink swayers, who often see a lightening and shortening of flow.
Refresh my memory here, has this been a long cycle?

All I’m taking is myo and fiber.
This is my first “regular” cycle after being a week late for AF due to sickness. I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong, my period started Monday, usually it would be ending by Saturday/Sunday. From Saturday until now I’ve been having brown blood, its not a lot at all, but usual for me, sorry for the tmi.
I’ve been staying within limits on everything, so I’m not sure why this is happening

Having the occasional long period is not unusual. I suspect it's just a one off but if it continues we may add in some iron as a preventative.
Staying in the limits on diet shouldn't have anything to do with this.
I ask about the supps because some of the commonly recommended supplements do cause extended flows. But the myo and folate should not cause that to happen.

Thank you Atomic, I started to worry I was somehow doing something that was causing an issue.
I was anemic all through high school so I will keep an eye on it! Hopefully it’s just a one time thing!

Very interesting, the same thing happened to me when swaying really strictly (but hitting the limits, couldn't have lived on any less than 1800kcals/60gr fat/ 50gr protein a day! Also ate some dairy and meat every day.) My periods which had always been cranberry colored, but light and 3-4 days long max, became very dark and a week long. Not heavier though. Oh, and AF started to show in the afternoon around the same time! Nothing else changed, e.g. my LP didn't shorten (well, once it was only 10 days, but normally 12 days) or anything. Would be very interested to hear Atomic's take on this too!

The period coming at a different time of day (usually starting in the afternoon or evening, when it had always come in the morning) is definitely something we've noticed being a trend, as is a shorter lighter period with pink sways. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...-you-have.html
There are many different reasons why we might see changes in period when swaying. I honestly can't speculate as to why yours got darker and seemed to flow less heavily over more days - may have been hormonal, may have been due to stopping certain nutrient supplements.

Well, if you're anemic that ironically CAN cause heavier flows for some people so let's go ahead and add in a low dose iron 18-30 mg 3x a week.
High school was a long time ago, but sometimes people are just prone to anemia.

I was vegetarian all throughout high school, and I had to stop in college due to my dr saying my anemia was so bad that I had to start eating meat again. I stopped seeing that dr, my diet has been more veg friendly, although I do still have some meat. That would make sense!
My period has been starting to come at night when it used to come early morning, is that something that happens during swaying? Does it have anything to do with the gender you will conceive or is it just a pattern seen a lot?

We have noticed a trend where many (not all) pink swayers are having their periods come in the afternoon or evening rather than first thing in the morning, and a smaller but still noticeable trend where blue swayers whose periods have always come in the afternoon/evning are having theirs start in the morning. Thread here https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...-you-have.html
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
