    Can anyone ease my mind?

Ugh I’m so annoyed at myself, so today for lunch I made 2 quesadillas (4 tortillas all together ) I made them with whole grain tortillas thinking it was the healthier option. I didn’t realize until after I ate them that the tortillas contain flaxseed meal. I’m freaking out now because I’ve been staying away from flaxseed because I heard they weren’t safe for pregnancy, I called my midwife but am waiting for a call back. I just want to cry I don’t know why I didn’t think to check the ingredients (pregnancy brain) and am not sure what to do now :,(

Dietary amounts of flaxseed 2-3 times per week is ok. It is LARGE amounts of flaxseed (like putting 1/2 cup in a smoothie) daily or taking flaxseed supplements that is harmfull.

Your midwife will likely not be up to speed on the risks of flaxseed and will probably not know what you're talking about, may even diminish your concerns. But don't be fooled, please no one take flaxseed supps or ingest large amounts of flaxseed ever, and small amounts daily when pregnant due to the potential for harm in them.

I’m definitely going to be more careful when it comes to whole grains, I didn’t realize they were in whole grain tortillas, any other time I got different brand whole grain tortillas they didn’t have flaxseed in them.
How do I know how much are in the tortillas, like I said I had 4 and have no clue how much would be in them. I’m panicking myself at this point hoping I didn’t do any harm. I’m definitely not going to be having them anymore

It doesn't matter how much was in them. If you'd been eating them daily for ages then we might have some concerns but you need to let this go now, it's nothing to worry about at all.
