Feeling very deflated, still no period
Hi Atomic
I've been so careful on the diet to make sure I reach my daily totals. It took 4 antibiotics to clear the UTI I recently had still feeling drained from it. I've been a nervous wreck for the last couple of weeks, a loved one is waiting on test results to see if cancer has returned after finding a new lump. I'm on cd 42 and no period, I've had pms type symptoms for 2 weeks.
Do you think any of those things could have resulted in delayed ovulation? I hadn't been tracking with opks so I dont know if I had a surge or not. Do you think I will eventually ovulate if I haven't already?

Most agree that antibiotics should not delay periods although some people disagree (you can read the debate about that here https://nicolejardim.com/antibiotics-effect-period/)
Far more likely is that the UTI plus the stress you're under would delay O.
I do think that you will probably ovulate still. Most people who are generally having regular cycles will have a long one occasionally and in most cases they will still release an egg in those cycles.

Thank you for reassuring me yesterday, AF turned up this morning😊 I'm only 5 weeks on diet so I'm going to wait another cycle maintaining diet etc before starting ttc attempts. Hopefully this new cycle wont be just as long lol

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
