First time swayer for pink!
Hi all!
Excited to be here and try out this swaying business. I am 35 yo and mom to two boys. We are going to start trying for #3 this month and looking to see what else I could add/subtract from my sway. Currently I am:
LE diet
Coffee in am w/ whole milk and artificial sweetener
Skipping breakfast
Crystal light 1-2x day
Folic acid 1200 mg
B6 100 mg
Exercise 1hr/day
With my boys I never drank coffee, big tea drinker. Was big into eggs and breakfast. I was also a big wine drinker but have recently cut back. I noticed alcohol increases non girl friendly cravings for me and it’s harder to skip breakfast. My luteal phase has always been very short (7-9 days) and it took me about a year to conceive both boys. I always suspected my short luteal phase was to blame but my drs would never do any testing. Are there ways to naturally increase the luteal phase? I read b6 could help so I was giving it a try this month. Any and all advice welcome! Thank you!!

Hi and welcome!!!
I would not recommend the B6 at least for now. Can you tell me more about how you're determining ovulation??
The B6 may sway blue and for most people, it doesn't help with short LP anyway (and in many cases makes a NEW problem where people suddenly have really delayed ovulation and still have the short LP anyway!) I would be willing to let you try it possibly but first I need some more info about how you're determining ovulation and anything else you can tell me about the cycle.
For now I want you on the type of LE Diet where you use whole grains instead of white, full fat dairy only (no skim), keep sugar minimal, and then have 50-60 g protein and fat (not counting the fat and protein in fruits and veg, and nothing in low carb veg.) I am wondering if there may be some PCO-tendencies shortening up your LP and I want to see if we can correct for it by changing your diet.

Hi atomic! Thanks for the response and help. I use ovulation test strips from amazon to track ovulation. I usually ovulate around day 20. With my boys I never ate much dairy and usually do whole grains. I’m 130lbs and 5’6, so I’m a healthy weight. I’ve always had issues with lots of spotting before and after periods. With both my pregnancies I had a lot of spotting/bleeding through the first week of getting positive pregnancy tests (stressful). I’ve always wondered if this is due to low progesterone. Maybe PCOS? No dr would test because I would eventually always get pregnant (both pregnancies took 8-10 months of trying each). I’ve always naturally followed a lower calorie diet so I’m not sure what else to really change from what I’m eating now (besides coffee and skipping breakfast) than when I got pregnant with my sons. I am exercising more now but I was thinner when conceiving my sons. So confusing for me!! Ugh. I appreciate any help!

So are you getting a positive OPK and then ovulating...when in relation to that? And then your period is coming how many days after the positive??
OPK can be both false positive and false negative so I want to be sure we have a good handle on how short your LP actually is.
