How badly did I mess up?!
A little background info: It seems as though there are at least 4 or 5 people I know who were on the pill and not trying for a baby and ended up getting pregnant with a girl.
So I thought it would be a good idea to start on my leftover mini pills at the end of my last period end of June, and then I was going to start missing a pill or 2. However, now that I am in my fertile window, I am experiencing another medium flow period! I am so mad at myself because I really wanted to make an attempt this month as I feel like the clock is ticking. If I'm bleeding mid cycle (today is cycle day 13) does that mean I won't ovulate this round?

It just means your having withdrawal bleeding from missing some pills. I would cone off the pill completely as your periods are going to be wacky otherwise and it will be harder to pin-point ovulation.
It’s difficult (but not impossible) to get pregnant on the pill if it’s taken properly so maybe your friends weren’t really taking it right. The mini pill works a little differently to the combined pill and it’s common to get irregular bleeds with it. Personally I don’t think it would be worth the stress as a sway tactic and I’d stick with diet, exercise and one bd.

Thanks for the response! I guess that was my poor attempt at taking the pill wrong, and it backfired because now my fertile window is out of whack.
I'll try again next month and will just stick to the diet and exercise!

That is very common when going off and on BCP - your body gets mixed up and thinks it's time for a bleed.
It is almost 100% likely you won't ovulate when you expect to but you can still get pregnant this month. I would not take any more of the pills and start having attempts every 4 days right away.

Why not try this month though??? You will get the benefits of the pill this month and also the wacky cycle which may sway pink. You'll have to do e4d or else use OPK if you prefer, but you can absolutely still have an attempt.

I honestly thought I was going to be bleeding longer (sorry TMI) but it stopped a few days ago and then I started the OPKs and got a Peak reading on the clear blue digital, so we were able to get an attempt in. So fingers crossed and now we wait.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
