Anyone hide their pregnancy until anatomy scan?
I'm just thinking ahead...has anyone hid their pregnancy from family and friends until after you learned the sex? We told everyone early with our boys but this time I think I'd rather wait. I had bad morning sickness and showed early with all 3 but I'm thinking that might be easier to hide with social distancing and many people gaining weight during the Pandemic. Anyone else going to do the same?

I tried to hide my pregnancy with DS3 initially but it didn't work. My mom guessed I was at just 7 weeks because I already had a tummy from being super bloated lol. We waited until the second trimester to tell everyone else which was easy enough since we lived so far away at the time. We knew from about 20 weeks we were having boy #3 but we told everyone until I was nearly due that we had no idea what we were having since I didn't want to get any unwarranted comments. By that point no one really cared we were having another boy. I would think with the pandemic it would be pretty easy to hide a pregnancy and if anyone asks, you can always deny it.

I'm getting ahead of myself but I think it was be much less stressful to avoid all of the questions and comments. I'm not sure how I would hide from my kids though and they might blab.

I don't remember when we told our boys but they're usually oblivious to things like that anyway lol. I don't know how old your kids are but chances are the younger ones wouldn't be able to keep it a secret. You could just say you've gained some weight if they ask or wear loose fitting tops to make it less noticeable.

Yep, I hid my third pregnancy from some family members till I was 7 months, and my last pregnancy from everyone till after the gender scan. Smartest thing I ever did! That day coming back from my gender scan with DS 4 knowing I was gonna have to update everyone was pretty tough, and plus I preferred to keep it to myself if I experienced a loss.

Even my two adult sons didn't realize I was pregnant with the last one till I was like 4 1/2 months. They're less savvy about stuff like that than we realize.

So true! I could probably hide it from my husband with little stealth. Hahah!

Hiding it this next time (if we have a third)! My family totally sucked when we told them we were expecting a second and then DH sisters ruined our announcement by telling an entire side of the family before we were ready. So now to avoid having our announcement ruined and to guard our hearts from unnecessary comments (we get a lot of hurtful comments about having 2 girls) we arent telling anyone I'm pregnant til I show around 16 to 20 weeks. And even then we arent announcing the gender until #3 is born

So sorry that happened. I don't blame you for hiding!

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
