1500 cals & Metformin still putting on weight
As the title says I’m eating around 1400-1500 cals per day and been on Metformin for around 4 months for pcos but I’ve not lost weight at all I’ve plateaued/slightly put more on. I’m 5”7 and 11st 5lb so not overweight. I’ve recently cut most meat out (still have Friday steak oops).
My clothing is tighter around my tummy but if I eat less I start to suffer with symptoms of hypoglycaemia (night sweats, bad sleep, weak etc).
I don’t know what to do?!

Tell me what you're eating on your diet. I think we've discussed this in the past but just so it's fresh in my head.

Hi Atomic, you’ve just done and sent me a plan.
Do you want a typical days foods?
Breakfast - coffee with whole milk
Lunch - low gi roll with egg mayo and crisps or homemade vegetable soup with low gi roll and butter
Snack - coffee with whole milk and an organic apple
Dinner - sourdough vegetable pizza, homemade chips, salad and coleslaw with a glass of red wine
Evening - mug of decaf tea and a couple of chocs
1000mg Metformin
My logging app has a breakdown of daily cals, protein, sodium, fat etc I could email you?

I think you're eating so little that your metabolism has shifted and your body is hanging onto everything. That is practically a starvation diet, especially on Metformin.
You need to be eating 50-60 g protein and fat. This will increase your calories of course but try to keep carbs below 150. I would also add in exercise or increase it to help with the weight gain.

Hello, Atomic hopefully you will see this! It has definitely been a while. I am not TTC, my cycles have been MIA for over a year, I'm quite certain. I have not been charting but haven't had it....
Not sure where to ask not TTC
