"Older" sperm more likely to cause a miscarriage?
I wondered if there was any truth in this? A friend told me she believes that you are more likely to miscarry from sperm that were waiting a few days for the egg, and that you are more likely to have a healthy baby if sperm fertilise the egg closer to its release?
This is kind of making me think "what if" about this baby that I have sadly just lost, as I followed Shettles for a girl (before I discovered that Shettles doesn't work when I found this site!" X

If that was true the whole human race would have died out a long time ago because the vast majority of conceptions are from sperm that's been waiting around for the egg.
Bad sperm usually die before they ever get up inside the cervix.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I wonder if your friend misunderstood some scientific findings. There is some science on the older a man himself is, the more likely his sperm could be "bad" resulting in a miscarriage, etc. But not the actual sperm itself being "old" within the vaginal canal.
