Just starting Cycle #8 TTC, any thoughts?
Some Back Ground:
We are trying to conceive baby #2, (we only want 2 so after this baby we are done) I am going to be 39 this week(Dh will be 38 soon) and I had DD#1 when I was 37. We conceived her on the 3rd month of trying after I came off 18 years of BCP, she will be 2 in December. DD#1 was breech so I had to have a C-Section, our hospital would not allow a breech natural birth, only reason I mention that is because I have recently read that C-Sections could cause secondary infertility and I wasn't sure if that was true. I had no complications from the surgery and healed well. We stopped using protection 1 year ago but weren't really trying; I stopped breastfeeding in April and started Charting at that point. I ovulate every month and have a 12 day LP so I know those 2 things are a plus. I am overweight so I know that is not good when TTC and trying to lose some weight, eating healthy foods but not restricting calories. We use Preseed around the time of +OPK. At first I was TTC a boy but at this point I will be happy with a healthy baby, boy or girl.
I really was hoping month 7 was it for us so I wouldn't have to make an appt but I am now onto cycle 8 and need to see what is going on. Should I make an apt with my OB/GYN or with a RE specialist? I really don't go to my family doctor, it's probably been atleast 7-9 years since I was there for a sick visit; I go to my GYN for my pap smears or BCP when I was on those years ago. What testing would they start with? Or if there are other things I could try let me know.
Thanks

Research red raspberry leaf tea. I used it with ds2 and I used it the month we got pregnant with this baby. See what you think
I see you're already using preseed. That's also works for us.

Thanks BoysBoys, I totally forgot about RRL Tea. I used RRL tea when I was TTC DD#1 a few years ago, I stopped taking it when I got pregnant. I will have to go buy some today. Now that I think about it RRL and baby aspirin were the only 2 things I am not doing the same as last time. I know atomic doesn't recommend baby aspirin so I haven't been taking it this time around, although I am tempted too at times since I am going onto month 8 of TTC

Yes given your age they should treat you proactively and see you NOW (some docs have younger women wait 12 months, you need to be seen right away becasue time is not our friend here.)
I think you would benefit from atomic fertility diet the blue version found in this thread http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...rt-3-pcos.html and doing some exercise. It does not have to be super intense (I know it's SOO hard to do with kids but the benefits for blood sugar control and in turn, egg quality, are huge.) I advise cardio 3-5 times a week 30-45min. and weights 3-5 times a week (you can overlap these with the cardio and do something like Taebo where you're doing both muscle work and cardio.)

If you have no medical reason why you need baby aspirin then you don't need baby aspirin. That wasn't why you got pregnant before (provided you have no blood clotting issues or MTHFR mutation)
Truth (and remember I've been right there with you as an older mom) is that as we get older, it takes longer. Add that to the fact that you've also just has two pregnancies back to back and it is most likely that it just hasn't happened yet - not that it can't or won't, it just hasn't YET. I totally understand the urge to look for the magic tea or pill BUT I have seen so many people end up seriously messed up from taking this that or the other thing that they end up shooting themselves in the foot making it take longer to conceive.

I have only had 1 pregnancy and we are currently trying for #2, DD will be 2 in December. So should I skip the RRL Tea? Would Decaf Green be better?
Here are the supplements I am taking:
2400 Folate
Multi
1000-2000 Omega 3
400 CoQ10
Vitamin D
Probiotic
Typical Eating in a day: 2 eggs, 3 small chicken sausage breakfast links, 2 TBLS almond Butter, 1 oz walnuts, 1 Banana. Then lunch and dinner which is usually a meat & veggie and carb. We do white rice and white potatoes, sometimes sweet potatoes. I do eat cheese if the meal requires it. I try to stay away from wheat and pasta but do have it on occasion. 1 square of Dark chocolate for dessert if I need it.
IF you see anything that needs adjusting please let me know.
Thanks so much for any help.

The supps look good I would switch to ubiquinol and folate if you can.
Make sure to include protein for every meal, including snacks.
Google the sperm meets egg plan and follow it to a "T".

Oh I'm sorry I was reading DD #1 and baby #2 that turned into DD #2 in my head. :/
THe good news is the blue sway stuff only ups odds of conception.
Your diet and supps look good (but do check out the AFD thread anyway just to get some more ideas), generally I recommend only 1000 Omega 3 so if you are having any side effects I'd lower that. I personally believe that full fat dairy is magic for fertility and I would add that in if you are not using it.
RRLT - if you want to give it a try that's fine. I don't think it's a miracle drug but it has seemed to help a few people (coincidentally or not). My real concern was that you might end up taking OTHER stuff, not the RRLT which is pretty benign. It's the other stuff that people start taking when they are feeling desperate that causes issues, not RRLT (I'm sorry this was one of the last posts I replied to yesterday and I should hve stopped sooner LOL). THe RRLT is fine.
What multi?? ANd how much Vit. D.
Tell me about what DH is up to.

Thanks Atomic. I take 2000 vitamin D a day and use New Chapter Perfect Prenatal, it's a non gmo food based multi, right now I am taking 2 pills a day instead of the recommened 3( they are smaller pills). I had DH on a multi, 1000 omega 3 and 200 coq10 daily but after a few months he got discouraged with it taking a while and stopped everything but the multi. He does not smoke and drinks alcohol a few nights a week, and I stopped his hot baths when we started trying 7 months ago.Once I am done with my period we start a every 2 days schedule then daily around + OPK. I made an appointment with my OB to discuss infertility next week. I do have a glass of full fat milk on occasion

Thanks Anchor.
I do already take 2400 MG of folate a day, I switched to it over folic acid in June. I was using Ubiquinol for 4 months and then switched it up to coq10 the last 2 months. It was getting pricey taking 4 Ubiquinol a day but if it is better then I will switch back to that, after looking up the prices its only $13 difference per bottle.
So happy for you Treens, congratulations Sent from my SM-A225F using Tapatalk
