IUI with Clomid/Ovidrel... swaying blue?
Hey - I apologize if this is a double post, I submitted a post on Friday but for some reason my posts do not show up on this particular board...
I just got my fertility test results from RE. They are better than I expected at 36 yrs old (which is great!) but he still couldn't say why we aren't getting pregnant (which is frustrating!).
FSH 6. 3 - done on CD4
AMH 4.23 - done on CD4
Progesterone 19.8 - done on CD18 /around 6DPO
Estradiol 80 - done on CD4
Prolactin 26.5 - done on CD4
He is recommending 3 cycles of IUI (Clomid + Ovidrel), he said with 3 rounds, he saw a 40% success rate. Did anyone have similar results and success with IUI? Just feel like IUI is a waste of time, money and emotion based on the anecdotal stuff I hear on Facebook groups & forums, almost everyone moves onto IVF.
We originally were trying to sway blue but with this diagnosis and protocol, I’ve read Clomid sways a little pink. Obviously - we would be over the moon just to get a BFP - but if I can do anything without hurting my chances at a BFP, I’d be happy to do it. Getting pregnant is priority If there’s anything I can or should do to sway blue with an IUI?
Thoughts?

If you post something and it doesn't show up send me a message and let me know. Occasionally our spam prevention system gets tricked into thinking a regular user is a spammer and your post goes into a moderation queue until I see and approve it (and I can't always see it without clicking open the forums, so I have to know where to look)
I agree with you that IUI is largely a waste of time. It doesn't work that great. But practically all doctors and insurers insist you try it before moving on so unless you wanted to go elsewhere then it's sort of a hurdle you have to overcome.
Clomid sways a little pink, but the IUI likely sways a bit blue, so I'd go for it.
Just eat right, exercise, take prenatals - everything in a blue sway (other than Preseed) should only help your chances. No herbs, nothing in the vagina, make sure hubby is taking a fertility vitamin that does NOT have added herbs or megadoses of anything.

Thanks atomic.
Ironically enough, I just got a BFP this morning.
I'm shaking. I have no idea what to do.
I can't believe this... we had really just made peace with having to move onto infertility treatments.
I'm so nervous, I don't want to mess this up.

Oh gosh bluegrey that's WONDERFUL! How can I help??
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
