Looking for a Rainbow
Hi Atomic
Need help - not sure if its my bad egg or husbands bad sperm for reason why i miscarried but i did.
I need to add something to help protect against dna damage for him and for me..
For me i have a Pregnancy vitamin (basically everything in it) & take 300mg coq10 but i was taking coq10 when fell pregnant and lost pregnancy..
For him, i am looking at coq10 200mg infact have started this.. he wasnt on it before, and ive read its good for vericocle (he has this). Ive read about Olive Leaf Extract?
This is to stop a genetically damaged sperm making a baby who dies at 8 weeks...
Ive read higher folate could work for him? As well as for me? Not sure what to do..
Im also torn on Pre seed. We was using it when we conceived but we were trying for so dang long, 19 months i cant stand idea of it taking so long again!
We do have to do abstidance just to make him even be able to perform, its that rubbish of a situation for us! I tend to try a 4+ day abstidance.

Again, and I so wish this wasn't the case, but it is - there is no real way to protect against DNA damage. There just isn't that magic pill that does that. It's fine to take vitamins and stuff but I am just worried you're looking for something that sadly doesn't exist.
Fine for hubby to take coq10. OLE, I am not totally convinced it helps sperm as much as the claims say and we've had some people who didn't get pregnant while their husbands were taking it. Do I know it's the OLE, no, but I just have that concern. Given his history of low sperm count I am wary of having him take it. Your call to make.
I am wary of giving men extra folate (beyond the 100% DRV, that is.) This is because some studies have shown there may possibly be a link between high folate in men and prostate cancer. I would just stick with the 100% DRV.
Why are you torn on Preseed?
having him release every 4 days is fine - that makes a good sperm count. Just try to have that attempt around ovulation at a time where it's a good chance of conception - O-1 or 2, O Day if that's how it works out but it's not as good a chance. O-3/4 is useless for the most part. Sending tons of sticky healthy baby dust!

No you're not going to be able to ovulate till those numbers are 5 or lower.
Your old cycle is irrelevant now. That has nothing to do with what will happen from here on in. Sometimes we notice that our cycles come back around the same time as they were before the loss, but it's not set in stone so don't count on that being the case.
With no tissue the number should drop quickly.

Hi
Hopefully ill have a medical update later from hosp but i just done preggers test says 1-2 weeks now.
I just started bleeding again minor ish like red spotting..
I had very positive opks last friday but took a preggers test that said 2-3 weeks so blamed it on that..
Since Monday opks been very negative.
I dont know if this is at all relevant. Im getting very frustrated.
Im also extremely on edge and ocd about everything. Im desperately searching for ways to get rid of bad luck.. i have been looking into what fragrance candles to get that mean good luck etc!!! :'(

It's probably just a waiting game at this point. I would try eating cabbage/broccoli/cauliflower every day and drinking 8 glasses of water a day. These things probably don't help but help us feel like we're doing something!
It's not unusual to feel things that are akin to postpartum depression/anxiety after a loss due to the sudden shift of hormones. If you feel very out of control please talk to your doc as they may be able to give you a little medication to help mitigate those feelings till the hormones have worked themselves out.

Hi Atomic to add a random Qu:
If you miscarry 7 weeks , 6 days what is the most likely of cause? Esp if at 6 weeks 2 days heartbeat going, 3.2mm long and everything perfect placement etc? Thanks

Always in the first trimester the most likely issue is chromosomal but we can't know if that is egg, sperm, or an accident in the way they combined.

Thanks Atomic i have one last set of Qus regarding lost pregnancy..
1. Just over 12hrs from start miscarriage (complete baby gone) Lining was 15mm is this any kind of indicator on how good or not my lining was in pregnancy? Is this good?
2. 12 days after miscarriage started 67 hcg
3. 14 days after 37 hcg. Are these any indicator on how good or not hcg was in blood prior to failing pregnancy?
I just wish i knew how good or not my body was at holding pregnancy and if it is my body or abnormal baby to blame?
At a scan 12 days after miscarriage lining 6mm.. any indication on where i was in cycle? My temps are showing nothing at the moment. Temps are back down to before O as well (17 days after mmc)
Bump
Not sure where to ask not TTC
