That shape of spine can also determine girl or boy during early stages of pregnancy.
Hi ladies, I am new here, but I wanted to let you know that when I went for my first ultrasound for my second boy the ultrasound tech said she could usualy tell the gender around the 10 week mark due to the curvature of the spine, (although not a guarantee) if the baby co-operates and lies still on their back.
Unfortunately I do not have pics to share if anyone can and is willing to add to this thread would be great.
For a GIRL: When baby is in supine (laying on back position) the curve of the spine is lower, the coccyx (tailbone) almost touches the floor of the uterus.
For a BOY: In supine position the curve of the tailbone kicks up higher more 30-45degrees higher from the floor.
Again no guarantee & she was wrong with us.
It's another fun predictor.

The top picture looks low lying curve so my guess is a girl.
What do you wish to have?
I can't tell from the second picture.

Babies do lay wherever they are comfortable. What I meant, sorry if I didn't make it understandable, It is actually the curvature of the spine when laying can sway girl or boy. The less curvy, or a more downward straighter line is a girl, more upkick towards the end is most likely a boy. That is what the tech told us and she even demostrated it on the ultra sound scans.
It's another fun way.
