    angle of the dangle question

I have tried Google, this site, babycenter, and in-gender and can't find the answer to my question.

does angle of the dangle theory hold any weight if baby is seen straight on, as if standing up on the scan image? since the 14 week (12 week fetus) of a little girl points down, would the tubercle be pointing down between the legs when seen standing up? would a boy point straight down, or would his penis be sticking out and not scan as a dangly bit from this view?

I'm no expert but I don't think it's possible to see from that angle, the genitalia are just too similar even at birth, let alone on a grainy ultrasound photo.

this was from just watching the video on screen. it was sticking straight down between the legs. I didn't know if a boy would have a dangler like that yet. just pointing straight down to the floor.

It's more the position of the spine in relation to the nub. If you cann see if the spine is curled or straight, you cannot see the angle.

From what I've read it's all about the angle relative to the spine. So like the poster above said, if the fetus is too curled up, the angle can't be accurately determined. And even if the fetus is in the perfect position, the angle is still not a guarantee.
