Any chance boy nub could be girl or am I clutching at straws?
I didn't want to know the gender of baby #2 and didn't think I would be able to tell from 12w 3 day NT scan pics so I just peeked at them out of curiosity. It seems very clear that bub has a typical boy nub - virtually sticking straight up and stacked. Is there any chance I could later be told girl or none whatsoever? I am thinking it is impossible this is my longed for DD and should just accept this but just wondered if anyone else has been told 100% boy or seen very boy nub but had a girl. Think I need to give up hope but I am just having a hard time especially as I really didn't want to know this early.

Yes there is definitely still a chance, even the clearest nub pics have been wrong as they have instead turned out to be cord or toes in that area, if you think even anatomy scans have been wrong! so don't rule anything out! Post your pic if you want some guesses ok x

Yes lots of times! Many times it's not nub at all but some other thing you're looking at.

I honestly don't know why I am upset knowing I am having another boy as my DS is the most loving, snugly, happy little boy and I wouldn't swap him for the world.

I understand, I've been there more than once. Post your pics if you are ready. For me personally I needed to know during pregnancy in order to "get over it" before birth. GD sucks!

Sorry you're going through these feelings Kelber. Your experience sounds very similar to mine. It's not that you won't totally adore him it's just sometimes they aren't who you were expecting to be adding to your family at that point. I thought you couldn't tell the sex before about 16 weeks so at my 12 week scan I casually asked the tech about it expecting to be told that you can't tell this early. Except he confidently came out and said he was 90% sure it was a girl. I wasn't mentally prepared to find out that day, even though I knew I wanted to at the 20 week, so was totally thrown. Spent the next few weeks googling the likelihood of an incorrect assessment at that gestation. An experienced tech approaching 13 weeks can very accurately assign sex apparently but given you're just working from a 12.3 week scan pic I agree that there is still some room for a change. I would start to accept that you may have a little boy in there and that way if there is a change it will be a lovely surprise.

Despite Bub being upside down for most of the scan I don't think there is any way those are not boy bits in the second photo. Now just need to accept it and try to enjoy my pregnancy. Sorry not the greatest photo quality

That does look like a classic boy nub to me...

I thought so too. Was holding on to the slightest hope that being upside down could somehow make a girl look like a boy or that maybe the stacking was part of the leg or cord but I am kidding myself. That looks all boy.
So happy for you Treens, congratulations Sent from my SM-A225F using Tapatalk
