For some reason people love terrifying other people by telling them horror stories about stuff like that. And the vast majority of horror stories were scans done too early, people doing scans on themselves, using old outdated machines, having cardiologist do their ultrasound, that kind of thing.
That baby is a girl. huge congrats!!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you all so much. I feel silly for being so worried but all these stories totally sent me into a panic.

They send me into panic too. How far along are you in that scan picture? Mine at 16 weeks isn’t as clear but hoping to get a more obvious picture on Monday at the anomaly scan.
Yours is so girly I would believe it. It’s such a weird feeling isn’t it. Maybe after having boys and wanting a girl so badly it is just impossible to fully believe until they are born!

In addition to what atomic said, some inexperienced ultrasound people may just call a baby "girl" because they didn't see a penis (but they also didn't see the three lines that should be there for girl parts.) Not seeing a penis doesn't necessarily mean a girl, I have seen some tricky boys that had it tucked between their legs.
That picture is definitely a girl! The three lines are really clear. Congrats!
I understand the nervousness though. We transferred a female embryo. And I did the NIPT testing that confirmed girl. And I had the most experienced sonographer I know, that taught me herself, do my anatomy scan. But I still scanned myself probably 5 or so times and each time would double check gender. And it still didn't really feel real until she was born.(2009)

April- 10 retrieved- 1 5AB embryo made it to testing- normal XX!!!! July FET- BFP!!! DD born 2019
