The reason why I don't think the top "thing" is nub is because it appears to go up into the stomach on the most superficial of levels. That seems to indicate cord to me. Now, if that WAS part of the nub, that could be a vulva but it just seems up too high and too prominent.
I think where the yellow arrow is ~may~ be nub but the nub really should extend a bit farther than that. It could also be leg bone or even a finger, tho I do think I see the arm in a different place.
That's not stacking. Not in the right place and do you see how the "bulb" looking thing seems attached to the stomach? My guess is cord, nub, then leg bone but I can't be sure these are just too grainy and not complete enough

Thank you so much for your explanation. I totally understand these things can’t be completely certain especially from one photo. I also thought the yellow arrow was where the nub was but wasn’t sure what the space above was. Are boy nubs usually more obvious at this stage or when is it more likely to see an obvious difference in nubs?

The issue is not the stage, it's the photo. It's just not a clear shot compared to what I'd feel confident with. Most shots from this gestation are able to tell one way or the other.

I understand. It’s the quality of the image but typically by this gestation you can tell with a better quality image. I was so bummed they didn’t allow video not just for nub purpose but to show our family. I have one other image but baby is not in the ideal position so probably not helpful at all. I can post it anyway though.

I know I can’t tell if these images are playing with my eyes haha I guess I will have to go with what I saw at the time of the ultrasound and what the tech guessed since it’s easier to guess when seeing it in true time. I’ll definitely update when I get my genetic testing back

That actually is somewhat helpful. Now that I've seen this one, I think the baby is actually laying on its side and the body parts we were wondering about may not be what we thought they were at all. In the above pic, I feel that I can see spine down the middle, the right shoulder AND the left shoulder (in a proper nub shot we should not be able to see both shoulders!) and the thing at the bottom is baby's bum and pelvis. The bottom pic, the original, while the baby MAY be in a somewhat different position, the photo is so grainy at the top that I really honestly can't tell what position the baby is lying in. I just can't guess on these with any accuracy because I'm no longer certain about that even being the nub at this point. 50-50.

The tech sees by far and away more than we see. If the tech guessed, I'd take that with much more certainty (tho they do still get it wrong sometimes) than anything we can glean from these because they're truly not the right kind of pics for guessing.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
