We don't know (anyone who says they know is lying) and you need to do what your doctor says is best and not worry about your sway. Thyroid issues are one of the main causes of non-chromosomal losses in pregnancy and so you must take every caution to get your thyroid functioning as it should prior to TTC. I have seen NO correlation with thyroid and gender conceived, I have pink and blue swayers with all kinds of thyroid stuff going on and if there's any trend there it is so minor that it's impossible even for me to spot.

You should definitely be on medication with that level, let alone for TTC. That hasn't been a subclinical norm for awhile -- that's fully hypo. You'd want under 2-2.5 for TTC especially.

People definitely have - we have some very knowledgeable ladies on here and I know they'll chime in soon!!

I got my 3 daughters being on 50µg with TSH around 1- 1,5. Thats not really low, I know but I wonder if higher TSH and less active metabolism could help in a boy sway? Def could help in gaining weight, which is kind of hard for me (lol, sounds crazy). Anyone with thoughts or experience on that?
I have lots of both pink and blue swayers who are on medication for hypothyroid and hyperthyroid. I have not been able to discern any clear trends and so I think it's best for you guys to stick with the medication as prescribed by your doctor and sway in other ways because thyroid stuff, when it isn't right, can cause or contribute to miscarriage and we need to keep you at the thyroid level that is right for you.

Hey ladies,
I just came across this thread while browsing and wanted to let anyone know who might also search for the subject.
I have two boys and two girls. My older two children, a girl and a boy were conceived when my thyroid was functioning on it's own. My younger two children, a boy and a girl were conceived once I had been diagnosed Hypothyroid. I have been on Synthroid (various dosages) since 2011. My friend has two children, a boy and a girl and has been Hypo and on Synthroid since before she got pregnant with either of them.
I don't know whether the medication or being Hypo/Hyper sways at all, but as others have said, take your medication as prescribed and do all the other sway tactics you feel are important.

Hey, thanks Atomic for your reassuring message. I’m feeling a little better health wise although the thrush medication wasn’t helpful at all, I think it actually made things worse…?! Of more...
