Hi Girls. Just curious if anyone thinks I O'd by my chart? I have crazy up and down temps this month and I am thinking this cycle might be anovulatory. :( Is there anything that can cause a random low BBT? Just wondering because if I take out the low temp from yesterday then FF says I ovulated. So frustrating. I did have one other anovulatory cycle since we have started to TTC, several months ago.

TTCPink, I would think that you have ovulated and yesterday's temp was a fluke, esp. with the + OPK. The low temp could have been caused by less sleep, have your mouth open, lots of factors really.

Thanks ladies... yes GeCon go ahead and add the blue stork! It's not changing I'm afraid LOL
Emily your comments about dropping the panties and your list of awesome boy traits both cracked me up SO much... I need the comic relief!
I'm going to go get the pics and post them now so you guys can see the goods LOL... I've got to say he was pretty cute bouncing around on the u/s :)
Oh and right before the scan, DS2 told me "Momma, I really want a little brother not a sister, okay?" I was shocked and so happy... I guess all the years of brainwashing didn't work! haha DS1 is still bummed out though, he already has a little brother and said he didn't want another one LOL... well buddy, I know how you feel :) haha

I realized that for the better part of the two weeks of waiting for this appt, that I had not really "breathed"....I took world's deepest inhale after hearing the little one. You are going to be over the moon happy when you get to hear your baby's heartbeat....now lets get your bfp on!! I can't wait for you to announce your sticky bean!

Charlee.....just hoping that you are enjoying your weekend! I have been thinking all good things all day for you......have you bought some new threads for the little guy?? Ok, you have plenty of time for that....or is DS1 going to choose the clothes? My DS1 wants to shop for our baby, he looks at all the pink, girly stuff in our grocery store...ladybug stuff in all other stores....lol, he is BRAINWASHED!!!!
OT or sort of an aside....how is weight gain going you all??? For me, I had lost a good chunk of weight, gone from 209 lbs (June 2010) to 155 (August 2011-Feb 2012)....then 158-162 until we ttced in the fall of 2012. I weighed in this am at 177lbs and am really struggling with not only the urge to overeat, but also the weight gain. I know that I should not restrict, but I need to stop the eating "for 2...ok more like 15!!!" and get back to healthy, growing baby pregnancy eating like I did with the boys. I wish I was as good as you and had LE weights of 125 and such! I was only down to 158lbs at O...that means that I am up 19 lbs in 12.5 weeks.....3 of those are probably off due to sodium, but I need to reign it in. I gained 30 lbs with DS1, 20 lbs with DS2....and feel miserable about the fact that I want to binge/overeat. I do know that this is so not the type of GD update you all want to hear, so feel free to think what a crazy girl!! Oh and yeah, DH is thrilled about the return of the unbridled eater....lol, this is such a repeat of our first year of dating/being together.

I'm happy to announce I got my unexpected bfp on Friday:) the consequences are going to be rough as my boss told me on Friday he wants me to have increased responsibilities as sales are going to go through the roof next year... Small business... Typical:/ well he'll have to get over it if this one sticks. Had tested negative last Saturday so thought game was over, but obviously not. Feeling well, sore nipples that's all, now focusing on the inevitable: hearing boy in12 weeks time...

Niva, really hope you get good news today.
Cagirl, hmmm high betas? Could it be twins? Great sign for a healthy bean anyway. Hope your MS gets better. I think mine is waning now but have managed to pull something in my back pulling DS2 up two flights of stairs in his buggy. I can't bend over properly and the pain is taking my mind off my sickness!
Mathilde, yeah! Congratulations. Such great news I bet you are absolutely thrilled!
TTC pink sorry I haven't got a clue when it comes to temping. I gave it a go but all those dips are really confusing! I go by OPKs more. If you were DTD around the right time you are in with a good shot. Do you have any reason to think you might not be ovulating? Are you very thin?
I have my 12 week scan on Thursday and haven't found anyone to watch DS2:( they don't allow children in the scan room here in Spain so unless we get a friend to take time off work DH won't be able to see the scan. Not happy about that obviously.

Oh no, Emily, what a shame. Fingers crossed you'll find someone who can watch your little one and your OH can go with you.
Thankfully they are very accommodating here. Our LO has been with me to all of my doctor's appointments, most of which included internal scans when I was on Clomid and since being pregnant and LO was allowed to sit on the chair with me at the time.

Hi girlies, hope I haven't missed much!? I finally feel better after having a Nasty bug which then went round every member of my household! DH complained the most about it... men!!! hahaha. My DS1 has now got a bad ear infection so all in all its been a awful week.
On the up side had my midwife appointment and heard a lovely HB.
Sorry you didn't hear girl charlee, congratulations on your little boy though!
Congrats on hearing a HB ladybugs, I'm so pleased for you!
Cagirl congrats on the rising betas :)
Emily they don't let siblings in at our hospital either. I have asked my mum to babysit but she is complaining she wanted to see the scan. Hope you manage to get sitters.

Ladybugs, regarding weight gain: I can hear you. I feel I need to eat all the time as otherwise I feel sick, but I have also already put on a few pounds. I will need to get this under control.
That is why I had been eating like that until 13.5 weeks, but for the last week, I realized that I NEED to get it under control. What made it worse is that since 9w4d, my right knee has been even sore to walk on, let alone run, so my stress release that I get from running disappeard. I did finally do a small walk/run for 7 mins on Sat and my knee right now feels no worse for the wear. I will repeat that today for 10 mins and hopefully be able to have some form of appetite supressant out of it and stress relief!!
3boys....glad to hear that the sick is leaving your house. What a rough week that is! And we are only allowed to have adults in the u/s, so my mom is going to look after both boys.

June 17th, 2013, 09:42 AM
Oh Ladybug I'm in the same boat I'm afraid :( When i was weighed in at the doctors office on Friday she second guessed the scale and made a big deal about it being off and having to recalibrate it... but after the recalibration it WAS NOT wrong! I gained 14 lbs last month! That is just crazy... haha... she said where have you put it?!?! LMAO
I then, of course, had a lecture about weight gain during pregnancy and blah blah blah... haha! I gained 65 lbs with DS1 so this is not unusual for me LOL... when I had my loss at 32 weeks I had only gained 17 lbs and got scolded for that too.... we just can't win!
I know it SUCKS to watch the weight pile on but here's what I say: We can lose the weight afterwards! You have done it, I've done it and we can do it again! I think I've gained it because the m/s was sooo bad and everyone kept telling me to eat and it would go away.... well, needless to say that DID NOT happen and now I'm being scolded for eating! Talk about mixed messages!
Don't make your knee worse my dear... you're pregnant and it's going to get worse no matter what :( (I have a reconstructed ankle so I know about these injuries)... this baby is worth every pound! And we can motivate each other to loose the weight afterwards :)
I Love Ladybugs
June 17th, 2013, 10:06 AM
Charlee....what happened to your ankle initially? There is a part of me that says "eat for two"....and the other recommends runnng as much as I can! I am making effort today in just making healthy food choices and not eating just because. I am definitely there for the losing the baby weight...this gaining is scary!!

TTCand beyond could turn into a weight loss group in the new year!
I am still 10kg under my normal adult weight so am eating for England and Spain! All that time on the LE diet has made me appreciate food much more. I am. Trying to make sure I eat good food with lots of nutrients but am not thinking about calories in the slightest. I probably should be more careful as I am not naturally a skinny minny but cake tastes sooo good:)

I know it will be ok when he arrives and I will love him as I do DS1 and DS2, but as DH wont have any more babies I will be out of the game.. Want to spend the next 10 weeks happily fantasizing about "her" room and her clothes and all the girly stuff we will be doing together when the boys are out doing their boring boy stuff, but I´m afraid I´m going to make it all the worse for myself. It´s so worth ruining my career for a girl, not so for a boy, and that makes me feel like sh*.. Such a "make or break" situation!! Wow, just catching up with this weekend's news!
As I've said on other threads Charlee, I'm so happy that your little one is doing well but am so so sorry that your dream of a dd has been crushed this time around. It's so unfair, but this little man is so special, determined and will steal your heart!
Ladybugs, that's fantastic news about hearing your LO's heartbeat. Your intuition is very good, but it still must've been such a relief for you.
Congrats on your BFP Mathilde! I hope that this is the end of a very long road for you and heralds the start of an exciting *pink!* chapter for you.

Emily, look after yourself and no more lugging DS2 up the stairs in his buggy!! :nyd: Hope you're feeling better soon. That's rubbish about not being able to getting anyone to mind him for you during your scan. I hope something turns up before Friday and DH gets to come in with you. Could you get ds2 to fall asleep in his buggy beforehand and wheel him quietly into the corner of the room?!!
Cagirl, what wonderful news about your betas!! It must be great to know that they're rising really well.
3boys, urgh it sounds like you've had such a rough week. Glad to hear that you're coming out the other side of it now, but I really feel for your poor ds1. Is he on antibiotics for the infection? Glad you heard a great HB, I'm hoping for the same when I have my consultant appt tomorrow.
Gecon, how are you feeling about things now? Hope you're keeping well.
Niva, I hope you have great results very soon! :)
Ladybugs, I've just started doing antenatal yoga (following a DVD) and it's fantastic. Would you consider something like that at all? It may be kinder to your knee and still give you the stress outlet that you need. Look after yourself

Mathilde, I can relate to your situation. Although there were no failed HT attempts for us, there will only be two children for us. So if this little one is not a girl, which I have a suspicion it isn't, there will be no DD in our family. Whilst that of course makes me a little sad, I am coming to terms with it and the fact that I would make a fab boys' mummy.
Dreamofpink, I am feeling okay, thanks. Spoke to my grandma earlier and she said "Of course we are all rooting for you to have a little girl this time as it would be nice for you all." So I just said "Yeah, maybe, but I don't think it will be and at the end of the day I'll be happy with another little one like our son.

I'm not bad at all, thanks Dreamofpink. Could sleep for Britain right now - my body clock has been waking me up at 4-5am every morning for the last few weeks for no reason. Also craving everything I 'shouldn't be eating', so burgers, chicken and so on. DB wants to take me and DH out for a treat and has been discussing restaurant menus which really hasn't helped!

Niva, any news yet? Really hope no news means good news...
Sorry I didn't post sooner! I heard back from the midwife late and was busy with family stuff all day.
The results are still leaving me some room for hope, thankfully! My numbers had not quite doubled, but they did rise more than they had the last draw. Here's what last week looked like: Monday ~6,000, Wednesday ~9,000 (the scary one), and Friday ~17,000. So... I guess maybe the little one hit a rough spot and is now picking up speed again? Of course I have MANY questions now about what that might mean and whether a patch of slow growth indicates any lasting or later problems. But I have a LOT more hope now than I did all weekend, pretty much convinced it was slowing down to a stop! I really can't wait for Thursday for the heartbeat scan, despite all the uncertainty about the slow growth. I am really crossing my fingers that the gestational sac is MUCH bigger this time. Maybe whatever was causing it to measure small also caused the slow betas, and maybe, maybe, the bean is now recovering. I can only hope.
Charlee, I'll say the same as the other ladies here. Your new little man really wanted to come to your family and I know you'll love him so much! Still, hope GD doesn't get in the way too much. Turn to us if you need to vent!
Ugggh, the weight gain question. My best friend was visiting for a week and we ate out about twice a day (she is a real foodie and extremely picky -- and is, ironically, naturally skinny). I gained three or four pounds last week alone. I was kind of treating it like a last hurrah before likely going back on the LE, but now I'm realizing I need to reign myself in and start exercising. If I stay pregnant, this weight stays on! Thank goodness for breastfeeding, though, that will help take it off afterwards.

Niva....sounds like my littlest of the two! He was my slow grower and such and he is a crazy wee beast now!!! I do hope and pray that this bean is just picking up speed and will develop right on target!
Dreamofpink....it was you about the prenatal yoga...which DVD did you go for? I think that is a brillant idea...I was trying one early one, but it was lame. As in she was a nut!!! You can crave other non-food items during pregnancy. The usual ones are stuff like chalk, charcoal, dirt, etc. If it's for ingestion it's called pica.

Thankfully it is not for ingestion, just for using it in the shower. So do you reckon it is pregnancy related or just a coincidence? It is just that I am usually not that bothered about getting something like that NOW.

Mathilda I am desperate for a girl. I would love to do HT but it is simply not an option for me. I feel in my heart this is another DS, I even refere to the baby as 'him'. After this one I will have to accept my fate that I will never have a daughter.
Good luck to bunnywabbit and TTCPink for this month!
Niva sounds promising about the numbers glad they went up honey.
Gecon with DS3 I craved toothpaste lol (it had to be a specific brand) I didn't eat it, I just craved brushing my teeth. DH thought I was loony and I'm surprised my teeth didn't erode away!

Yep, with DS1 I craved handbags and DS2 I craved jewellery;)
Niva, those numbers sound a lot better. It is wonderful that they are monitoring you so closely- it sounds like you have a great team on your side.
Weight wise I am now officially a normal weight for a non-pregnant lady. Whoop whoop! In your face doctor - look at me piling on the pounds:) still don't fit any of my normal clothes yet but am aware that the weight appears to be going on my arms and thighs rather than my tummy. It is extremely attractive I tell you- thank goodness my boobs are growing as my butt is stil AWOL.
Still no one able to sit with DS2 during the scan. It is sooo annoying as 3 people could do it at a different time that day but it is too late to change now. I really don't think that they will let DS be in the same room as they love their rules here.

Argh, braved the heat with my toddler to find some peppermint shampoo or shower gel.... Nothing to be found in the whole shop. A few that are meant to smell of mint, but you don't smell it when you open the bottle, so I bet the effect is zero. I cannot believe it. When I lived in the UK I used to use Original Source Mit and Tea Tree. That was so yummy minty... and here nothing at all.

Do you have access to peppermint extract in your grocery store? It would be in the baking aisle and it could be added to a dull shampoo to give it pep!! You could even make your own sugar scrub for exfoliation!!

Hope you find a peppermint subsitute Gecon! I agree the Original source one is lovely - have you tried Amazon for it at all?
I saw my consultant today. He was very understanding and treated me with a lot of respect. He actually listened to what I had to say and agreed that provided everything goes well I can attempt a VBA2C! If not I am booked in for a c-section on 17th December - a week before Xmas, ha wonderful! That gives me 12 days after my due date if nothing happens on it's own. My priority is a safe delivery & to preserve my fertility so I can have just one more child. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat too, the midwife said 'ooh, it's a fast one' and I replied 'that means nothing!' she agreed it didn't but that they like to guess anyway. I'm feeling the need to post my NT scan pic on the ultrasound pages a little more now I'm getting closer to my anomaly scan! I am nervous as hell about the birth now, it all seems real now and the risks are very scary. I can change my mind at any point though and will see him again at 36 weeks to discuss it all then.
My other news is that we've agreed a sale on house again today! Phew! Just waiting to hear if our offer on the house that we previously agreed a price on has been accepted again. It's all happening!
Sorry, have to go hubby's stomach thinks his throats been cut - well if he will skip lunch what does he expect?!!

Hi ladies :)
Thanks for being so supportive :) I'm feeling SO much better about DS3 already :) After all, it is what it is! And I'm trusting in the big picture more now.. I'm really just laughing at it all... I figure if I keep my sense of humor then all can't be too bad, right?
In other news I have a terrible cold I think... it's been one thing after another! OOOO joy LOL
Dream - SO glad to hear about your house! YIPEE! Can't wait for your anomaly scan too :)
GeCon- Craving certain smells is totally normal during pregnancy... Us pregnant women have a tendency to be known as picky and discerning... haha :)
Ladybug- When is your gender scan again? To answer your question, I originally severely sprained my ankle, followed by another severe sprain. Then it had gotten so weak that the last time I hurt it, it just kind of exploded. So I have a rod and a few pins in there now. I was a total jock as a young woman, not so much anymore... LOL
3boys- SO glad you and DS are feeling better... did I catch it from you on here? haha
Emily- Glad you are at a "normal" weight now!! My BMI is now at the top of "normal" ... ehhh, whatever! Enjoy your cake... I know I am :)
Congrats Mathilde!!! Don't worry too much about gender.... I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, but whatever you have in there will delight you to no end once you get to meet them... There is a bigger plan for us all and whatever is meant to be will be :)
Niva - So glad your numbers are rising :) Keep us posted on your little bean...

And Hi to everyone else :)
Flapjacks at lunch and self saucing chocolate pudding with haargan daas ice cream at dinner time! I will stop soon but still don't fit any of my pre LE diet clothes so am in hilarious limbo land. I have never been skinny in my life and chuckle to myself as I slip on skinny jeans at the beginning of the 2nd trimester! Only one more day if lying about why I am not drinking before the scan. If the heart is still beating and the bean measures ok we will tell the world!
3boys I am getting tired too but am not sure if it is the move or the baby:)
Dream of pink, I went out for drinks with some girly friends tonight - one of whom brought her 7 day old baby! She had a VBAC and cannot believe how much better she feels than with her section. I think you have every chance- listen to your docs advice but it really can happen. You too could be drinking in bars with your one week old baby! Good luck with the move - we are moving in exactly a week. HOLY Cr**!

Mmm, I love flapjacks and self-saucing choc pud! I have had a similar problem and at 16 weeks my maternity clothes are still a little big! Ds2 (he wants to be a chef!) and I made double choc brownies for Dh on Father's day - they didn't last long, yum!
I love hearing about other people's successful vbacs, thank you! I hope your scan goes okay, it's hard keeping such news to yourself isn't it! You must be so excited to see your LO though :D I admire you for moving country in a week - wow!! Will it be hotter where you're going? Good luck with it all.

Really looking forward to the scan. I just want to see a healthy baby as I have scared myself a bit that there is something wrong. I am not going to ask about nubs. I just have too much going on in the next few weeks to deal with potential GD.

I felt so out of it yesterday, so I apologize for just reading yesterday.
Gecon....I hope that you are able to find your mint. I know how badly a craving or desire is left unsatisfied, so good luck!!
Emily.....I think that you are smart on the non nub guessing. With your move, you will want to be in the best of spirits and I am finding that my consuming wishing for a certain gender right now is greatly affecting my focus and true joy. Sending you the best moving vibes...and prayers for a air conditioned place bar none!!!
Charlee....I am stalkable as of July 18 @ 6:30 pm, the only problem is I will not have internet access until 10 pm or later. I will post results that night regardless......my hubby has been telling me that we might end up having to do lots of shopping for a girl. He is so optimistic and delusional :) You are such an amazing woman.....and I want for you so much to have the family of your dreams. Oh, I have decided to take it easy on the knee....your tale of woe and caution has me convinced that enjoying some downtime would be good. I started running 3 years ago and it has become an integral part of my daily life. We are going to smash the lbs come the new year!!!
Niva....when do you go for a scan? How are you feeling today?
Mathilde.....I can't wait until you get your ticker up and running! And I keep the hope and faith that your little girl will come to your family. Both you and Coliny have my respect for going the route of swaying after high tech...may your little bundles of pink be just around the corner.
Bunnywabbit....how are things going for you? You are such a great cheerleader...so I am cheering you on this these cycles for a super sticky, healthy and pink bfp!!!

3boys.....I feel for you. After having the household sick and all, what are you all up to in the next weeks? And no....glowing is neither the term that could be used for me or my house!!! Lol, if I focused as much on housework as I do gender, it would be sparkling!!!

Ladybugs, OH managed to find a Men's Shower Gel that will hopefully do the trick until I can get my hands on some Original Source. Good job really as they had no Mint essence in the baking aisle either.
Dreamofpink, I have seen some Original Source on Ebay and Amazon, but I begrudge paying crazy amounts for them with extortionate postage too if they are only £1 a bottle in Asda or Tesco. I have seen an offer on Amazon for 6x 250g bottles for £29.99. Bargain, huh?

Ladybugs, thanks for asking! I go tomorrow at 11am (CDT) and DH is coming too. I can't even describe how much I'm hoping to see the heartbeat and a much larger gestational sac than before. My midwife seemed really encouraged by the fact that my beta levels are still rising, so I'm letting quite a lot of hope creep in again!
GeCon, I totally sympathize with the heat and ms. Here in Texas it is just unbearable to be outside more than ten minutes at a time. I never had ANY ms with DS, but now with this pregnancy I have to admit I am just not myself. It's not pure nausea like you get with motion sickness, and I have a stomach of steel and am never bothered by smells, so I'm in denial that I actually have real morning sickness! But I just feel so faint and headachy and have so much air in my stomach, and that does make me feel really icky a lot of the time. (If the nausea goes away as soon as you burp, does that count as ms nausea? Sorry, tmi!)
Emily, best of luck for your scan! I am in agreement with the no nubsessing. :)
It's proving hard to spare myself the gender guessing even though I'm team green -- last night I caught myself looking up whether girls or boys have lower hcg levels on average (it's boys, grr). Why do I feel the need to torture myself googling like that when I have completly decided not to find out!?!

Just got back from the scan and am feeling soooo happy but weird. For the record ladies, not asking for a nubshot is not enough to avoid nubsessing. The tech was looking at the heart and nuchal fold and I was zooming in on the nub!
I saw an angled up nub and weirdly I was ok with it as just at that second she told me the baby was perfect with amazingly good stats for my age (lower risk of downs than expected in early 20s). DH was there holding my hand and then she zoomed in in the nub and said I think you are having a girl but I can't be sure.
So, I disagree with her but obviously don't want to. I didnt think to say dont talk about gender as i have never heard of a spanish doc talking about nubs and angkes before. So now what do I do? I have nub shots that basically could go either way but don't think I am brave enough to post them. One is very flat and the other looks more angled up.
So much for chilling in team green till the 20 week. DH says just to think we are still at 50 50 as it wasn't a definite boy angle. He seems to be getting wiser by the day!
GeCon
June 20th, 2013, 06:40 AM
Emily, congrats on your healthy little baby with the great stats. I think you're still in with a good chance of having a little girl despite you being unsure about the nub. I mean the tech seemed to think so. I'd love to see some pics if you feel happy to post them and keep any gender thoughts to myself. Did she date the pregnancy spot on date wise or has your due date changed?
Mathilde
June 20th, 2013, 06:50 AM
Emily: how wonderful all is looking good, and that you are having either a boy or a girl;) just think if you saw three nubs.. I can totally relate to your having a wierd feeling now though..
So, what to do: my subscription on GD runs out in two days, do I stop and loose this forum or do I continue? 11903Thanks GEcon and mathilde. The baby is measuring bang on for date which is good as it was a little small 2 weeks ago. The due date is still the same as DS2s birthday!
The thing that is throwing me is that when I saw the upwards nub I was ok with it (obviously some degree of GD will / would probably rear its ugly head in the years to come) and I was still excited about the pregnancy and the little hands which I am sure were waving LOL.
Anyway I think I should just woman up and hear what people think as nubsession has already started! What have i got to lose right? guessing wont change anything in there. I don't think that anything people could say would confuse me any further as one pic is definitely a girl nub and the other a definite boy nub.

I dont dare guess, as I'm not that good;) all I want to see for all of us is little girls..:) by the way, one thing I've always not understood is it the featus' age at 12 weeks or 12 weeks gestation(10 week featus) we go by when wanting to see the best nub?
Yes! Do ask if we could continue thread on the open forum;)

Emily, those are beautiful pics! Just the fact that your little one is healthy is a great feeling. :)
I'm no expert on nubs either, but I think the thing that is sticking up from the belly in the second picture may be the umbilical cord, not a nub. I *think* the nub is farther down at the end of the body... Your good DH is wise to keep on considering your chances are still 50/50, and it sounds like you are taking the first steps to coming to terms if you do hear boy.

Actually wondering if I had miscarried before. Posted in another thread - had an instance where I was very late and had a very heavy bleed with clots, hot and cold sweats and throwing up all day. Went the doctor the next day who felt my stomach and told me it was just a 'late period'. Happened the month prior to that too just less severe. Was so freaked out that I hadn't even thought to test. It was measuring 3 days small, crown to rump, at just 6mm. But that beats a 6 day too-small gestational sac. I have a feeling it will catch up in time!

Would it sound crazy if I said I wasn't too sure how late I was? I think the first time may have been around 3-4 weeks. The second slightly less so maybe 2-3 weeks. The first was very sudden, was like a pop and it all came away. Maybe back then I wasn't really checking cycles as such as wasn't TTC at the time...

So ladies, I managed to get Atomic to move our thread to the open part of the forum. I thought it might be appreciated as I was concerned that we might lose members in our thread along the way when our memberships run out, which would be a real shame as I'd love us all to stay in touch even beyond our little beans births.
Is everyone comfortable with this or did I jump the gun a bit without asking for all your input about it first? Let me know.
Or would we feel more comfortable in a less used part of the forum like here:

So ladies, I managed to get Atomic to move our thread to the open part of the forum. I thought it might be appreciated as I was concerned that we might lose members in our thread along the way when our memberships run out, which would be a real shame as I'd love us all to stay in touch even beyond our little beans births.
Is everyone comfortable with this or did I jump the gun a bit without asking for all your input about it first? Let me know.
Or would we feel more comfortable in a less used part of the forum like here:
Due Date Buddies (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/due-date-buddies/)
rather than the main TTC Girl part?
Fantastic idea Gecon! Glad you thought of that. I love our little group and would be such a shame to lose contact because of a membership status change. Might pop in to the other group when I get back from work and say hi.

bunnywabbit, the thread has already been moved. It is now in:
NATURAL GENDER SWAYING --> Trying to Conceive a Girl
But I need to know if you are all happy for it to be there of if we'd rather have it in somewhere less frequented like here:
Due Date Buddies (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/due-date-buddies/)
If so, I may be able to persuade Atomic to move it one more time to there.

Less frequently visited would mean fewer new people. That might be handy as the months go by and we ALL have newborns to deal with as we probably won't have time to keep up with fast moving threads.
If it is a hassle for AS dont worry about it though.

Yes!!!! There was a heartbeat! 140bpm. And the tech told me it had implanted slightly left of center, although I ovulated from the right. Dare I hope? I'm just so relieved there was a heartbeat. It was measuring 3 days small, crown to rump, at just 6mm. But that beats a 6 day too-small gestational sac. I have a feeling it will catch up in time!

So cute! Mine was measuring 3 days small 2 weeks ago and now is bang on track with or without a willy ;)

True. I am also thinking though with it being the main TTC Girl Forum if there will be more random people popping in and out of the thread.

I think it's better to have the thread in a less frequented area too. Due date buddies seems ideal. :)

BFN again today, 10DPO. For some reason I am obsessing more this month after being much more laid back in the 2WW the last couple months. UGH. For those who got their BFP at 11 DPO or later, did you get a BFN on a FRER at 10DPO that cycle? I used a FRER today. I was really hoping this would be it this month. If AF comes I am definitely making a doctor appt. with my OB to discuss why we are having trouble TTC. Something just does not seem right to me after being able to conceive my boys so quickly. I know my doctor will point out that I did not gain weight as he suggested, but I was this weight when I conceived DS1 so I just don't buy that as the reason.
Niva, such wonderful news!! Yay for a healthy baby!! :)

Sorry, just reread my original post which didn't come out right. I meant I'm glad someone thought to move it somewhere more accessible as it wouldn't have occurred to me that it could be done! As to where, I really don't mind. Would be nice to have the intimacy of a little group, but then all those BFPs of larger group would be great too. I'll leave that to everyone else to decide. x

Hi ladies,
Can I join you all? You seem like such an active group...I have been reading up on your thread, and your due dates seem much closer to mine than the other group...due Dec/Jan/Feb. I am due Feb. 26th...so pretty much the last person due in that group. Just got my BFP Tuesday at 13 dpo. So far, my symptoms are tiredness, peeing alot, starving, sore nips and boobs, and some nausea that started yesterday. I just had my first beta drawn yesterday, and my next will be Monday. Praying for good numbers!
I woke up to pee at 3 am this morning, and had a hard time sleeping after that due to nausea. This may be the first time I've ever experienced morning sickness! With my first two boys, I had food aversions and cravings, so would sometimes feel nausea with the aversions. With ds3, I had no aversions or cravings...he was so easy! So this morning, after feeling nauseous for hours laying in bed, I thought, THIS must be morning sickness! Ha! Taking it as a good sign that baby is healthy. :)
Congrats to all those with good scans and healthy little beans! I look forward to getting to know you all & doing personals. :)

I have the worst dr ever! He doesn't shake my hand, didn't congratulate me and kept saying things like "I bet you want an ultrasound..." . Well yes, obviously.. As an ectopic potentially can KILL you, I would like a referral thank you very much.. He didnt draw blood or want a urine sample.. So waiting to hear from hospital.. Strange, I don't have many symptoms.. A little tired, stretching in uterus especially at night and a little fuller boobs, can't sleep on my stomach due to them:) so not going to see him anymore.. Am going to change dr now anyway.
Gecon: thank you, will find thread tomorrow.. Am so proud of what our bodies are capable of, much more now than with ds1.. Wish I could continue a couple more times...;) hope to see you on "the other side":)

Mathilde, I cannot believe your doctor is such a waste of space. It makes me a little angry as you are supposed to be able to trust and confide in your doctor, not much chance with someone like him. Glad you won't have to see him again and will be changing doctors too.
TTCPink, sorry about another BFN. If you feel positive about this month, then don't give up hope yet.
bunnywabbit, get BD'ing and catch that little pink eggy. How many attempts have you got planned?
Emily, you crack me up. Hope the packing goes smoothly for you. I know how it feels. We moved countries last year, but that was only within Europe, so I feel your pain.
Everyone: I have asked for the thread to be moved to the Due Date Buddies area as mentioned above. Please note the new location as there is a month redirection in its old location, which I am assuming will just disappear after that. If you are going though the Subscribed Threads, I don't think it will make a difference anyway.

Just bd and went to j&d and passed what I can only describe as an inch long jelly lump which was clear but almost tinged pink. Is that normal after dtd? Can't say I've had that happen before...

Thanks, ladies!
Mathilde- He sounds awful! I love, love, love my doc and can't imagine such cold & rude man caring for me and my little one! Good for you switching. I totally would, too.
Bunnywabbit - I think that's probably just a mix of cm & semen...I've had that before. And I've heard of ovulation spotting...that's probably why it's pink. I hope this is your month! Good luck!
Emily - This morning was the first sickness I've had...so didn't try protein. But will definitely give it a try if it persists! Good luck on your "nubcessing"! LOL.
GeCon - Yes, please add me. Thank you so much!
Quick question for you ladies...any of your docs offer the gender blood test at 12 weeks? I have a good friend who just had 2 of her friends find out gender at 12 weeks...said their docs just did the bloodwork with the rest of their 1st tri screen. Hoping my doc offers!

bunnywabbit, sounds just like EWCM possibly with some ovulation spotting. Nothing to worry about, I think. Good luck with your one attempt this month.
myrainbowgirl, added you to the 1st post. I have read on here about this test, but don't think it is offered as standard here. Fingers crossed your doc will do it as part of the normal testing as I heard it can be a bit expensive otherwise.

TMI alert ladies,
BUnnywabbit if it is clear and odourless you are fine. In fact slightly cloudy and with a faint smell is ok too as Sperm is weird stuff and can combine with EWM to create all manner of consistencies. The pink tinge could be from DTD itself. As long as you have no actual bleeding it sounds very normal.

June 22nd, 2013, 12:13 PM
GeCon - Thanks for adding me. :) Yeah, I don't want to get my hopes up about the test. I do know that both of the ladies who found out at 12 weeks are local, but I don't know if they have my doc. That would be unlikely! But, I guess it's possible that they have different docs and for whatever reason, it's starting to be more common. That's what I'm hoping (obviously)! But, my DS3 is only 13 months, and my doc did not offer it when I was 12 weeks with him...which would have been fall 2011. We'll see!
Afm - More morning sickness this AM. Definitely a new pg symptom for me...yuck, I slept terribly! Woke up 4 times to pee, and really felt nauseous for hours. I may have to try protein! Although, as crazy as it sounds, it's nice to feel pregnant, considering it's so early for me, ya know?
GeCon

I hear you about the nausea, myrainbowgirl. I keep telling myself that at least it means that my hormones are busy with the pregnancy.
I would ask the doctor about the test though as in: "Two of my friends who live local had this test done as part of the routine check up..." No harm in asking, is there?

Unplanned bd this morning. CM was watery but just a small amount. This evening has suddenly changed to clear egg white consistency and small streaks of fresh blood and low stomach feels a little tender from this evening. Wondering if all is okay and was only because of reduced CM this morning. Blah... Why can't things straightforward?

As long as there is no fresh blood "flowing", I would still go with ovulation spotting. Try not to stress about it. Of course if there is more blood or pain or you are getting concerned, seek professional advice. :hug2:

Bunnywabbit, it's never good seeing blood when you're not expecting it. Hopefully it's just ov spotting or from dtd. Thinking of you :)
I finally plucked up the courage to post my scan pics after a few pink guesses. It's even worse hearing 'can't see a nub sorry!' Grrr!! Perhaps it's best though to ground me firmly as I was getting a bit carried away dreaming of a girl. I need the next 3 weeks before my anomaly scan on 18 July to accept hearing a boy. Just because nothing's shouting boy on my scan pic, doesn't mean there isn't one in there! I don't know what I'll do for number 4 if it is a boy, as I did such a full on sway. I'm getting myself in a right tizzy imagining the worst for everything at the moment. Urgh :( Sorry for the downer.

GeCon - Nausea came back tonight at dinner. Eating didn't help much. Thought I might actually be coming down with something...several close friends' kids have gotten a stomach bug this week, so something's going around. But I feel fine now! Just being pg, I guess. :) Yeah, I definitely plan to mention it at my 8-wk checkup...trying not to get my hopes up. I live pretty far from my parents (we won't see each other till Christmas), so it would be SO fun to wait and announce the pregnancy when we know gender (if it is at 12 weeks). But I don't think I could wait till 20 weeks to announce it to them!
Bunnywabbit - Unless you're feeling badly, I wouldn't worry too much. I have occasional spotting during my cycles as well. It's probably O spotting! Good luck, hope this is it for you!
Dreamofpink - Yeah, that would be frustrating! Try to think positive! I'm a little confused...are you having #3 or #4? Oooh, your scan is so close! If I'm not able to find out until 20 weeks, I won't know till October...OMG. :sigh:

Knowing my luck I'd forget to do it on a regular basis and muck it up. All I do is POAS and wait for BFPs! When was the last time you did a pg test? Did you have a normal AF this time? OPKs are positive when you're pg... And spotting is really common. Maybe worth poas just to rule out a surprise pg? Atomic has mentioned how she lost one twin, thought it was AF, and didn't realize for a while that she was still pg with the second twin. It can happen!
I didn't know about spotting swaying blue. I did think that pg immediately after a m/c sways pink...

I tested 2 weeks after m/c with a digital test. Came up negative. Also tested twice (1 and 3 days before AF started) - negative. Going to retest in around 2 weeks as I'm on 2ww. Thinking my cervix was low when we bd so thinking it was minor abrasion especially since I can't really 'prepare'... Seems to be settled now.
Sorry, I meant the stressing over the spotting swaying blue! I had a full cycle go after the m/c so not sure that m/c will still be swaying pink for me anymore.

Ladies, if you had MS, did it come and go? This if the first pregnancy that I've had it, so just wanting to hear your experiences. I had what I thought was MS the last 2 mornings, for hours before I got up, but not so much this morning! Later in the day, felt some nausea, but overall felt ok today. At first I was a little worried, but then I was soooo tired today, boobs hurt, and had some round ligament stretching, so that made me feel better. Can't wait till I get to see baby's heartbeat!

So I have just come back from my 1st midwife appointment. Gave her some blood and some pee, answered some questions, all done.
I then made my appointment for my 1st "official" scan, which here has to be done between the 9th and 12th week. I had the choice between today and next Monday because after that my doctor will be on holiday.
I went for next Monday, when I will be 11+4, but I was really hoping for something after the 12 week mark for nub guessing, which before 12 weeks is not reliable at all.
So do I ring tomorrow and tell them we are going away and see if maybe another doctor can do the scan in my doctor's absence after 12 weeks or do I keep the 11+4 appointment?

GeCon I would go for the later scan if at all possible. Is it the NT scan? If if doesn't affect the medical reason by going later then do it. If I had had my scan later I would be more certain about gender. As it is I know that the baby looked girlish but might not do today!
GeCon
June 24th, 2013, 06:30 AM
Emily, it is not the NT scan. The NT scan is not offered as part of your routine scans here, you have to pay for that if you want it done.
This one is just the "1st" screening, which mainly involves measuring the baby, dating the pregnancy, ensuring baby is in the right location.
I have already had scans at 4 weeks and 6 weeks to ensure baby is in the right location, so I guess it is just about measurements and dating the pregnancy.
I Love Ladybugs

Gecon.....the nub guessing is best when the baby is 12 weeks, not when we are 12 weeks preggo...or at least that is what I read. But the best dating scan is done before the 12 week mark with the least margin of error.....tough decision! Personally, if private scans were available at the 16 week mark here, I would be in getting a look at this baby!!! Nub guesses are just that.....and unless you get a good one, you are left wondering for longer.
Emily...too bad about the bonus scan not happening. I was so excited that you could find out that your little pink bean was in there before the flight and you could dream in pink for hours!!!
Niva...how are you feeling?
Mathilde....I think it depends on when those (.)(.) have last encounted hormonal flucations! With DS2 conception, I was still nursing DS1, so I did not notice much difference, but this time around.....boobie balloons are a go!!
Bunnywabbit, TTCpink......I wish both of you good cycles. TTCpink....I hope that your MD is less of a stooge and grants you an HSG to see if something is amiss with your tubes. Doesn't hurt to check!

Hi Ladies,
Just checking in. I felt so sick last week, I couldn't do much more than sit up in bed and watch mindless tv to keep my mind off the nausea. I felt much better on Saturday, which after my recent m/c, naturally sent me into a panic! I called my doctor this morning and while she was out, they were able to get me in for my ultrasound a week early and we have a heart beat. Also, baby implanted to the left and as much as I am hesitant to believe in the Ramzi theory, I'm pleased and hopeful. Please God, let this be my baby girl!
Mathilde, Let me just say I am so impressed that you were able to get to work when you felt so bad! As I mentioned, I am good for nothing and I was in bed the better part of last week. You're incredible!
HOpe the rest of you are well. I'm going to try to read a little more in detail to get more caught up.

I am really not sure if it is 12 weeks pregnancy or 12 weeks gestation! My tech said scans for gender were reliable from 12 weeks pregnant if the tech knew what they were doing - but then went on to say 'your baby looks like a girl now but that could change' ????? Hmm mixed messages.
Cagirl09
June 24th, 2013, 03:56 PM
Gecon, I think it might be worth a shot to call and ask if you can have an ultrasound with another doc while your doc is away. That way you'll get as much information as you possibly can for this scan. Many doctors are accustomed to covering for each other when one is away, so I am sure they are used to things like this.

Myrainbowgirl, no, my ms isn't constant at all. I've had a few bad days but mostly just slightly icky days. It's much worse if I am low on sleep.
Mathilde, my goodness, that sounds so rough. Hope you could relax a little while others set up for the bday celebrations. I've never had ms to the point of extreme nausea, and that is my worst fear!
GeCon, I bet you could get a later scan by calling in sick. But you'll likely be trading dating accuracy for nub accuracy. But I think it's a no-brainer what the priorities are, right? :) Emily, do you have to wait until your 20 week scan now to find out for sure?
Cagirl, yay for heartbeat!!! And yay for the left implantation!! And yes, my lack of constant symptoms also makes me worry, especially after having just had a chemical. Our pgs are so parallel.
Ladybugs, I'm doing great! I sometimes forget I'm pregnant... It will be so nice when I start to show and will have that reminder. :)
We're leaving tomorrow for a little vacation, so I'm really crossing my fingers that my very light ms doesn't get any worse. I'll be away for two weeks at my parents' house in Vermont, and during that time DH and I will spend three nights in Montreal for our very first time away from DS. Really looking forward to it! Oh, and my mom is the BEST with kids so it will be great for DS. We're even considering potty-training him during this trip because she really wants to help (and will probably do most of it for us)!

Mathilde - Oh nooooo. Please find some time to rest!
GeCon - Yeah, I think I would try for a later scan, so you can do more accurate nubsessing! :)
CaGirl - Congrats on baby's heartbeat! Such an amazing sight and sound! And woohoo for left implantation! Don't think I'll be able to find that out at my 8-wk check...the doc did the U/S last time (with DS3), basically just checking for a heartbeat and that he was measuring ok. I *think* I o'd from my left, though, so I'm hoping, too! :)
Niva - Have a wonderful vacation, and your mom sounds amazing! I would LOVE for someone to step in and help me potty-train my kids...so not fun, at least for me! LOL. Glad you're feeling great!
Ladybugs - Hi! Hope you're well!
AFM - No nausea today. I guess I should be happy! Super tired and cranky, though. Had some very mild cramping tonight, but I specifically remember having that with DS3 early on, too. How long did you ladies have cramping (mild or not)? I know I shouldn't worry. Beta results should be in tomorrow!

Mathilde, how are you feeling today?
Cagirl, sorry to hear you have been so unwell last week, but great news on hearing baby's heartbeat and baby implanting from the left.
Emily, how are you getting on with the packing? Are you shipping big things over or are you selling everything here and getting new stuff?
Niva, enjoy your vacation and :agree: on your mum helping with the potty training.
myrainbowgirl, good news on no MS for you yesterday. Hope it continues. For me it still comes and goes, mainly if I forget to eat something and then I get to the stage when I feel to sick to eat.
Everyone else  How are you all? Some of you are keeping very quiet. Hope all is well.
Thanks everyone for your feedback on the scan situation. Since I already had two scans, where the pregnancy was dated and I am confident on when I ovulated, I decided to try and move the scan date to a bit later. And I was successful: Our new scan date is 12th July, when I will be 13+1. So hopefully we will see a bit more than at 11+4. According to my app the baby should be approx. 8.3cm in length rather than 5.3cm at the earlier date.
I have also been given the official heads up by my doc to have a cup of coffee or a glass of coke a day to help with my low blood pressure. And I asked the MW about the availability of gas & air here due to it not seeming very popular outside the UK anymore and was pleased to hear that they reintroduced it in the last few years at my local hospital. Feeling a little more relaxed about the thought of labour now knowing that it will be available.
Also, I have just noticed that our thread has been moved to the Due Date Buddy section as discussed, ladies. :agree:
So who is next for scans now?

So I just asked my mum (more to make conversation than anything else) what gender she thinks the royal baby will be. And what does she say? "Oh, I am not really interested in their baby. All I am interested in is if this little one (pointing at my belly) in there is a little girl for us all..." So I just said: "No pressure then, huh?".

Cagirl....heartbeat! Enough said...it is the greatest sound and sight when you are preggo!! I am so excited for you and although I think Ramzi is just a guess, it would be cool if it was right for you!

GeCon - OMG on your Mom. That would bug me, too! A little background...my parents have 9 grandkids...8 boys, 1 girl. When I was pg with DS2 (at the time there were 6 grandkids, all boys), both my mom & dad were constantly commenting on wanting a girl. I felt so much pressure going into my U/S. My sis-in-law was pregnant at the same time, & it was sooo hard when I found out she was having a girl (after 2 boys). I felt like I had let my family down. I know it was stupid to feel that way, but I did. I actually confronted them with how much pressure I felt, and how hard it was, and they apologized. When pg with DS3, they were sensitive to how I had felt before, and only made a comment here and there.
I live 1700 miles away from them, and won't see them till Christmas, so I am seriously tempted to not tell them until we find out what we're having. Then, there will be no pressure whatsoever! I am pretty close to my parents, so on one hand, I can't imagine waiting that long, but the thought that (even if they don't say anything) they will be disappointed if we have another boy is too much. I am really, really, really hoping to find out earlier than 20 weeks, but I need to chat with my doc at my first checkup to see if they do the 12-week bloodwork or not. I know she will also offer an amnio due to my age (36)as she did when pg with DS3, and I was only 34 then. She claimed that amnios are so safe these days, they offer them all the time. I don't know...the thought of risking this baby is scary! Granted, I would also find out if baby's healthy, but unless other tests indicate a problem, I don't know that an amnio would be necessary. Would you ladies do an amnio if offered to you?
Anyway, contemplating keeping it a secret! Thoughts?

Ok, just did a little research on the 12-week blood test. It's called MaterniT21, and it is given to determine chromosomal abnormalities...gender is an added bonus. A lot of the women who had it done were AMA (advanced maternal age), and their docs offered it, since it is less invasive than amnio or CVS. Hoping that they offer it to me! As I mentioned in an earlier post, a local friend of mine has 2 friends who were told gender through this blood test at 12 weeks. Hoping it's a trend in my area! It would also be wonderful to know that baby is healthy without any invasive procedures. I know with 1st tri screens, they can assure you that your risks are "normal" or not, but they cannot guarantee things are ok. I think with MaterniT21, it's a guarantee. We'll see.

Hi! Thanks everybody for your support, Am better today, thank god! Am finished with meetings for this week and am going to call in sick tomorrow. Say this was an ectopic, and I walked he dogs as usual and the ectopic burst, I would die if I couldn't get home or help! Am going to kick up a huge fuss tomorrow! 3boys - So sorry you're having a hard time...totally understandable, considering what you've been through. Will pray your scan goes beautifully tomorrow!
AFM - Got my numbers back today:
15dpo - hcg 297, p4 45.2
19 dpo - hcg 2427, didn't repeat p4
Very happy with these numbers!
Curious: Did any of you have progesterone levels this high with your boys? I ask because this is significantly higher than it was with my first 3 pregnancies (24, 27, 32 respectively). Wondering if a baby girl might somehow trigger higher progesterone? I know, probably not, but just curious what your p4 levels were with your boys. :)

Thanks so much guys... Ladybug you always know what to say to make me feel better! I forgot momentarily that I should log on for support, not just to be reminded that my sway failed. Mathilde - I know some of you will follow my footsteps and I'm sorry for that LOL! That's why I tried so hard to be optimistic at first.... to show everyone that it can be handled with grace. But that just led to me falling flat on my face apparently! haha... I have good days and bad days... I'm just hoping the good days start to increase and the bad days get easier.
GeCon- I did get the results from the InheriGen test back and I was negative for all genetic mutations with one exception... I got low risk for Fragile X syndrome, not a negative. This *might* explain why I keep having boys, and why I've lost so many babies (although my 32 week loss was a boy so it doesn't explain that one)... So overall it was great news :) My doctor seemed to think the "low risk" diagnosis was not very concerning, although I didn't get an explanation as to why she said that.
Thank you all again for being so supportive :) I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me :hugs:

I don't think I actually got a second positive. The line was what the test would count as too light for a positive read. Would be nice if I can still get a posotive in there somewhere this cycle, but thinking I've got the tail end of o at best because of the urine I used so will likely be a proper negative today. Aww Iloveladybugs. I really do hope you have a pink Christmas.
I honestly think I will be fine with either, being my first child and all, especially since the miscarriage(s). I decided in the beginning not to throw the kitchen sink at my sway. If I have a little girl, that'd be fantastic (but being me, I could see me having horrible guilt because there are many who are swaying harder than I am and got the opposite), but if I have a healthy, happy boy I'd be over the moon. At least I won't have to worry about feeling I have passed down the horrific pains and nausea/vomiting I had with my AF for years. That, and DH will be doing the birds and bees talk with him when he's older!
Hang in there, honey. We all have our fingers crossed for you. Sending a little sprinkling of my pink dust to you - I can share! x :hug2:

Ladybugs, I hope you hear girl! Gender is all consuming! Even now after everything I'm going through I keep looking at my ultrasound pictures trying to gage if it's a boy or girl.... I mean how crazy is that! It has made me a bit more excepting as I would do anything for this baby to be healthy but deep down I can't fully let go of my desire for a girl!

Thank-you girls.......I know that my issues with gender are magnified after time with my SIL and niece! You poor girls have to listen to all my Sat. night venting....at least until I know gender for sure. I feel in my heart of hearts that this baby is so meant for our family and I will be able to move forward either way. My mom is the only one who knows about the extra scan and is willing to wait for the extra weeks until I feel up to telling gender....
Bunnywabbit.....your little rainbow, regardless of gender, is going to light up your life!! I remember the snuggles of my first son in those early days and he still loves to be my sweet cuddlebug, my younger boy is my mommy's boy, he is literally my sonshine! I do hope that you get your sticky bfp soon!
3boys.....Even after my losses, I still want to dream in pink. I think that I understand where you are coming from and I want so bad for you to hear both healthy and pink still!!!!!
2lovely.....where are you and all my original March munchers???????????? I hope that you are keeping well....and getting geared up for your NT scan. Hope that you check in soon!!

I have a private scan booked for Saturday (booked ages ago) which I was going to attempt to find out gender (its not a gender scan so not sure if she will tell me) but it will all depend on my results as to whether I go or not. If I have to have a CVS/amino I will wait for that instead of spending the extra cash. Plus I don't want to go to a scan where tech has to tell me the baby doesn't look right :(

Ladybugs - You are so thoughtful! You know just the right things to say. :) I haven't seen any "live" rainbows recently...only in pictures. So thank you for sharing and being such an encouragement! I hope and pray you hear pink in 2 weeks! You deserve it!!
3boys - Hope you're feeling somewhat encouraged, and I am praying for things to be 100% ok for your sweet baby!
Mathilde - Loved the Pinterest page! I totally need to start one! ;)
Bunnywabbit - I really hope you caught the egg! I would say that if you BD on first positive, you are good! If you had a second line on the more recent OPK, but not as dark, then that's a negative...I get lighter but not positive OPK's all the time. Good luck!!
AFM - Feeling exhausted. And nauseous. Ugh. But so happy I am feeling pregnant! Grow baby grow! I really go back and forth on gender. I am most definitely NOT convinced that this is a boy, but part of me cannot wrap my head around the possibility of actually getting my heart's desire...so it HAS to be a boy, ya know? The other part of me is totally convinced this one HAS to be a girl. Such a crazy dichotomy!! I am torn, and totally scared to find out! I know God won't give me more than I can handle, but still. It's a tough wait!

I know what you mean! We were going through possible names with a friend who then turned round and said "dont bother with girls names you are bound to have another boy" (she has 2 herself and went through GD with number 2 so is possibly trying to prepare me) and I just thought NO! you are wrong I AM having a girl. Which is so weird as I saw the upward angle at 12 weeks and have always thought it was a boy but I guess having my dream snatched away so casually was not something I was ready to deal with. Hopefully I will get a good look at 20 weeks and will know for sure either way.
Grrr GD is a yucky thing.

Emily and Myrainbowgirl......I feel the same way that I "could" see pink in 2.5 weeks, but really don't enjoy when someone else tries to take away my dream! Since most of my family feels it will be boy #3, I have been trying to limit my exposure to them and talk of gender. I don't know why I let my dad have so much power over my emotions about this, although some of it stems from childhood when he said that my sister was the pretty girl. I am choosing to exert what limited control I have over telling of gender and I am just waiting for July 18th 6pm PST to arrive!!! The only downside is that I won't be able to tell you girls until at least 10 pm.

Emily - Hope you are enjoying your UK holiday before the madness of resettling begins... Don't worry about hearing blue... you are definitely hearing pink! That was a very convincing nub. Look at mine for the love of god! He had a PENIS at 12 weeks! haha

Hi Everyone! Just catching up a bit in here. I am excited for everyone's scans! Things are really moving along quickly in here!
3Boys, I am praying for good news for you!
As for me, I am CD8 today. I made an appt. for Aug. 6th with my OB. It will be a full year since we started TTC at that point. I am interested to see what he suggests doing at that point as he suggested for me to try for a full year before we become concerned. (Of course he does not know that I am swaying and with the full out sway at the beginning I am sure it would have been very difficult to get pregnant regardless...) In the meantime, we will try again this cycle and hope for the best. Still doing light LE but not much of a sway left otherwise. Just really hoping and praying to be able to get pregnant one last time. I am feeling very grateful and blessed to have gotten pregnant so quickly with both of my boys since it is taking such a long time this time around.

Nope....I will be keeping it secret until our Thanksgiving dinner!! Way in October....now you ask why? If it is our third son, I don't want the comments until he basically is in our arms, and if it is my girl, I want to bask in for a bit without all the comments being made in front of my boys about finally getting your girl. How about you? I think that this next week will be long because I work 2 of my days out of town and they drag...but then it will only be one more week once those are done!!
3 boys...what are you shopping for? When I was expecting my first and was team green, I was sent the most lovely onsies from a shop over there! They were striped with oranges, red, teals...missing a colour there too. I should find them and post a pic. They were some of my favourite clothes for my boy. Wish I could find striped shirts large enough like that now for my big boys!! Enough about the cute clothes....I hope that they ring you with news and that your day is quickly going by!!!

So now that I know I´m preggo for real, I´m beginning to freak out the good old fashioned way. As I´ve been down the extreme route, I do care all too much what it becomes, I´m ashamed to say that I don´t want a boy, and I know that I´m getting one. DH is quite fed up of me now, and says I have to "turn" around this time, but I´m affraid I can't. The thought of this everlasting desire hanging over me for the reest of my life is killing me. I know I will love the little guy, but he is not what I want. I want special, not what I already have, and I dont do them well anyways. Am going to have to look into adoption, which DH is not for, or tricking him into no 4 before he has time to get his "snipped"..Sorry about the ranting! I bet there will be more of it soon, if I cant by some magic get around to the thought..

Rant away!!! But I do think that there is going to be a rash of pink bundles and don't count yourself out!!! I know that I am lucky my hubby is letting me rant and rave at home....he is thinking enough pink for the two of us, just like last time.
How are you all planning on dealing or dealing with your GD? For some, I realize that a 3, 4, or 5th child could be in the works, but for those of you who know that is last little blessing is just that (ie. getting snipped, Essure, no adopting), what is the plan?

Mathilde, congrats on your scan. So glad to hear that your LO is doing well. Sorry that you're not feeling brill with the GD. I know what you mean though and I haven't been through HT like you have! You've had a heck of a journey to get here and I admire your strength and tenacity greatly. I really hope that you do hear pink. Do you know when you'll find out?
3boys, still no news?!!!! The NHS ought to be ashamed, I really hope that you have some news tomorrow. Waiting 'til Friday to see your MW is just too long. How are you holding up? Did you manage to take your mind off it all when shopping with your Mum earlier. Hope you've had a good day.
Ladybugs, I completely understand how you feel about revealing the gender. I don't want to tell people straight away either. Only my parents & sister know the date of my scan. What will you say if you're asked directly? How will you explain to people at Thanksgiving that you found out earlier, or will you pretend that you only just found out? Aargh, I want to enjoy this baby and just about cope with my GD inside my own head until I get stupid comments from stupid people. I'm not sure how to handle the 20 week scan and (hopefully) knowledge of the gender. So far when asked 'surely you want a girl this time' I've just replied that 'as long as it doesn't have to spend the first six weeks of it's life in the NICU like DS1, then I don't care'. It shuts them up, but whether they believe me is another matter! It's true though, I never want that experience again. I desperately want a girl though. I'm not sure if it was on this thread or the other but someone (sorry I can't remember who!) mentioned the strange dichotomy of believing it's a girl but totally knowing it's a boy too. I can second that, it's a weird feeling but I can't cope with the not-knowing but then again I don't want to destroy my dream this time around either. Urgh :sigh:
How's everyone else doing?
Pixi, I know I commented on your other thread but congrats again and welcome to this thread!

Well, we have decided that there will only be two children for us, so if this one is a little boy, that will be the end of my dream of becoming a girl mummy. I am hoping that if it turns out that way, I will embrace my being a boys only mummy and with time just get on with it.
I would of course be sad, but there isn't much more I or we can do about it... Other than hope and pray that maybe this little bundle that I am carrying now is a pink one. But quite frankly.... I am not convinced.

Dreamofpink...I plan on being the worst preggo girl ever! I have thought that they might think I am being sneaky or deceitful, but since I can't ensure only positive comments at the 20 week mark from family, they are staying in the dark until I want them to know. We are hosting Thanksgiving, and I plan on saying "We are so thankful for our little turkey.....little XYZ!" The jaws should drop, and it will leave only 8 weeks until the baby is due to endure the comments. Now....if I was to be preggo with a girl, I fear my hubby will spoil the surprise!!! He is bound to let that slip!!!

So ladies, with the arrival of the Royal baby approaching what do we all think about its gender?
Looking at Kate's physique I can't help, but think Girl. What about you?
sushikitty
July 2nd, 2013, 05:06 PM
I think a son. Analyzing myself and the old wives tale, boys are more a basketball belly physique. Which I think she has. Then with a girl, you usually gain more weight including around the thighs and around the belly. I am 90 lb. woman. I gained 10 lbs with 3 of my boys. I looked 2 months pregnant when I was 9 month (which I think Kate has that similar look I had). My daughter and 4th son, I gained 30 lbs.

Mathilde - Congrats on the great scan! Why are you so convinced it's a boy??
3boys - I hope you're doing ok, and fx that you hear something soon!
Happypixi - Huge congrats on your bfp! So happy someone with a later due date is joining in (I'm Feb. 26th). :) Hope it's a little pink bean!
Ladybugs - TOTALLY don't blame you for not sharing the news. I am debating waiting to tell as well...even my parents, who I won't see till Christmas. I don't think I will keep it from them till 20 weeks, if I have to wait till then to find out gender, but will keep it till I find out gender IF I can find out early (maybe between 12-16 weeks). As far as other friends and family back home...I will wait awhile to tell, especially if it's another boy. Like you, I just don't want to hear the comments! Locally, I will have to spill the beans sooner, obviously, but may keep gender to myself for awhile! Haven't decided yet...
GeCon - Hoping you feel peace about your decision. That's a hard decision to make, but at the same time, owning it and being happy with your little twosome is SO great! So many advantages to 2 kids! :)
Royal baby - I think girl, because she was so sick in the beginning...also, her face really filled out, and I have a friend who swears she can tell what someone is expecting based on that! Full face = girl, No change = boy. :) OWT, I know. LOL!

bunnywabbit, sorry about the BFN and if this month really wasn't yours, July is an awesome month to fall pregnant in.
As for me: Maybe it is all the gender talking or maybe my subconscious trying to prepare me, but I had a dream this morning. I had a scan at what would have been too early to tell the gender. So the doctor showed us three snapshots and says: "On the last one you can see you will be having a little Santa Claus." I was going to say, but it is too early for a reliable pottyshot and the nub might still change, but when she showed us the pic, it looked unmistakable... *Sigh*

But got a BFP, so intense exercise was unfortunately not a part of my sway, which in turn causes me to doubt the effectiveness of my sway! Plus I was only on diet for 8 wks. So, another month to improve your sway will certainly help you feel great about things when you do get your BFP! Praying for a BFP next month for you!
GeCon - I always dreamed both genders when pg with my boys. Don't lose hope! Dreams are wrong all the time! I don't think they mean much...unless you are constantly dreaming the same thing. MAYBE then I would put a little stock into it. Until then, no worries! So far, no dreams here. Kinda hoping it stays that way. :)
AFM - Still exhausted (and nauseated). My nausea is not necessarily in the morning...seems to be later in the day, but not at any consistent time. Lunch, afternoon, dinner, bedtime...weird. And it's not awful, just a slight seasick feeling. But the exhaustion is making me wonder about twins! I'm older, so my chances are higher! I know the chances are still pretty small, but still...I guess I'll know in about 2 weeks! :)

I'm very excited to be joing you guys at last! Hopefully all is well and ill be sticking around, just got bfp this morning! I'm not sure how much of a sway I have under my belt this month, as I was skipping this month due to having eaten meat and stuff on holiday! We DTD but didn't complete if you know what I mean! Anyway, one little cheeky begger made it, so little Oops is onboard!

Good morning all,
12 weeks today and the baby is now the size of a plum. Oddly, I thought a lime (last week's fruit) would be bigger than a plum, but...
How is everyone? Emily, how are things going with the move/packing?

12 weeks! Quite a milestone! Limes are defo bigger than plums where I come from LOL!
I wish I got morning sickness or something, never had it before, and I just keep staring at my tests like it can't possibly be right?! Ill have to throw them out soon, bit gross I guess!
Had to tell my cousin by email, she and I have been writing to each other about ttc, sadly she has been trying a long time for her first and had a m/c a few months ago. Not easy for her to read my third is on the way :'( Wish I could make her one too! :(
I wanted to be just content being pregnant, but I'm already thinking 'what if'. Ive been on the Chinese gender chart too which I wanted to stay away from all that bollocks! It says girl, but it also says the last two were! Haha.
This is going to be a long 38weeks and 5days (counts minutes and seconds too....!)
