It's so super quiet in here all of a sudden :) We have some busy ladies :) Any news from our due soon ladies?
Not much happening with me, yesterday I felt like bubs was burrowing her head into my pubic bone allllllll day. Constantly! Ive never felt that with my other 2. It didnt hurt it was just like immense pressure on my pubic bone, very strange. Hasnt happened since Ive woken up today yet..
Anyhoo, just thought Id say hi!!! Trying to keep busy so Im not constantly thinking of how long Ive got left but gosh it's hard to not think of it all day long xx

Hey Bimby, i still pop in to check this thread, nothing happening with me really. I've put on 13 kgs so far and expect to put on 2 more, so 15 all up, pretty happy with that same as DD, but i started out a few kgs heavier so i am the biggest i've ever been and really quite uncomfortable now, i feel like baby could come any day... 4 more weeks its draaaaaging!
Bub is back to back so i am trying to get him to turn, but he just doesnt want to right now, im getting lots of big kicks and punches on the front side, and it gives me a shock sometimes because he clicks, its so weird, everyone i tell that to doesn't believe me, DP heard it the other day so i know im not going crazy :)
Today i am going to wash all the baby stuff and move DDs bed out of our room, should make for an interesting night tonight.

So here is the rest of the April list - Any updates ladies :)
Grace - Due April 11 -
MummyPink - Due April 13 -
HaleyR - Due April 15 -
Wishing4Pink - Due April 17 -
NCBeachyGrl - Due April 19 -
Nes - Due April 22 -
Winngrin - Due April 25 -
ThreeMenAndALady - Due April 29 -
Babydust- Due April 29
--------------------------------------------
Cinss, I pop and check every day too just in case someone has popped :) Should be an interesting night for you with your DD but better to do it now I guess, you certainly dont want to be doing it once bubs is here. I cant keep up with bubs position. I think she is posterior but sort of sideways posterior as a lot of kicks are to the side. She alternates sides often and reading Spinning Babies yesterday it said that the pressure I was feeling in my pubic bone and alternate side kicking usually means posterior and bubs is trying to get into the proper position.. I sometimes get the clicking but not too often.
Happy washing bubba's clothes :) It's going to be us soon :):)

Hi ladies, I haven't been here for quite a while, crazy crazy times for us. My precious little boy was born a lot earlier than expected on Feb 22, at 33 weeks (I was due April 11). He spent a few weeks in NICU but now he's home and doing well. He is a beautiful baby and I'm enjoying him so much, he's just perfect. All that GD earlier this pregnancy seems like ancient history..
Congratulations everyone for your healthy and sweet babies!! Take care of yourselves xx

Wow Grace, congratulations on the birth of your son. Would live to see a pic when you get a chance. Were your other 2 early at all or just this one?

Nothing happening here. My last week of work has now come and gone and I am officially FREE! Well, free for about 10 or so months (I can have a year but the last 12 weeks are unpaid and can't afford the unpaid bit!)
Now let the time of sitting on the birthing ball to make sure she stays in good position(s) for birth commense! The weather has finally broken this week, too... starting to feel more mild. Sun is [mostly] out. Getting excited AND nervous. I don't feel ready at all yet (for labor, not having another baby around) but I am pretty sure I felt this way about the same point with my son and then the closer it got, the more up for it and ready I felt. Time to stick my nose in the Hypnobirthing book and start major cleaning/organizing.

Congrats Grace. So glad your little guy is doing well.
I'm 38 weeks today. I'll start getting checked this week to see if my cervix is doing anything...but I hope it isn't...lol.
I want to go late. The latest they'll let me go is a week. So I'm hoping for a May 5th baby. I though it would be cool to have baby number 5 on 5/5/13. We'll see how that goes. Nesting big time. Cleaning closets and cabinets this morning. I haven't washed any clothes for the baby and don't have his carseat in yet. My dh is taking 3 of the kids away for a few days. They're on spring break this week.
I sent NC a pm a long time ago but haven't heard from her. I hope she is well.
I still chat with spinning here and there. I think about her often.
We need to keep in touch with eachother once our babies are all here. I'd miss you ladies a lot if communication stopped once our group had all of our babies.
Congrats again to all. And good luck to everyone getting ready to pop!!!

^^I think of them often too. Maybe if they see this they can pop in with an update? It must be a busy time for them.
Huge congrats Grace! Glad to hear your little man is doing so well! Scary that he came so early...but very good he is home now and thriving :)
I pop on and off here too, mostly checking for newbies ;) But I feel so far down the list, that there is never much to report. I am guessing the second week of May for me. But who knows!? I had two early babies before, but this one could bake to the end. On Friday I will have four weeks left, or less. But, I guess this is one of those "no news is good news" situations! Lol.

Has anyone heard from Brandles????
Not much going on here, have an appt on Monday with the Ob who may end up doing my C/S whilst mine is away but aside from that not alot else to occupy my time with, oh apart from my 2 critters :) School holidays starts from Friday and Im looking forward to not having to rush around so much in the mornings.. Im not looking forward to having to entertain 2 kids though lol Thankfullly my mum is taking them up to her place in the country for the 2nd week of hols so am definitely going to do lots of R&R that week :) Well thats the plan anyway, I can guarantee the little miss will decide to come that week just to throw a spanner in my R&R lol

Good afternoon ladies. I'm not sure if you know this, but I live about 15 minutes south of Boston. We had our annual marathon yesterday and there were bombs planted around the finish line of the race. Over a hundred people were injured and 3 have been confirmed dead...one of which is an 8 year old boy. Heavy hearts today.

Trying to explain to my kids why things like this happen when I don't understand it myself is very difficult. We're not big tv watchers, but can't even turn it on today because every station is replaying what happened. And facebook is flooded with pics of the people that died. After the kids went to bed last night my dh and I were watching the news. The idiot newscaster had to point out that the street we were looking at was covered in blood!!! It was obvious. This has already turned into a way for the local stations to get their ratings. I thought it was completely insensitive and only a dumb a$$ wouldn't know that it was blood. I will NEVER becomes desensitized by the horrible acts of others that are plastered all over the tv and internet. Do you ladies worry about bringing children into a world where things like this happen now? So much has changed since I was a little girl.

3M&L that must be awful for you to have such a tragedy so close to home hun. My thoughts are with anyone affected by this awful ordeal. Such a sad world we live in and I do often wonder why we are bring more children into it. I guess we can only live in hope that we educate our children enough so that this kind of behaviour does not continue on into the next generation...

I fell asleep around 3/4am and woke up at 8am with my son... because I couldn't sleep anymore. I left my husband, thinking he'd follow not too long after. He didn't wake up until 12:40pm! GEEZ! (He went to bed/fell asleep before I did, too!)

Saw my GP yeaterday, baby is facing front but head down, been trying to flip him around on my exercise ball, he is still up pretty high too, i have a feeling my placenta is in the way or something, i have to book another U/S to see where it is. I have SPD too so its not much fun for me at the moment, i am starting to wish this baby out already.
We got the 3 girls a guniea pig each on the weekend, something to keep them outside and occupied when the baby comes, so i let them into the garden yesterday and the neighbour's cat took one of them :( It was DD3's one, she took it pretty well but wants a replacement... I have a feeling that one of the others may be pregnant though, she is blowing up huge since we got her, we bought them from a family who advertised on gumtree, it would be pretty slack if they forgot to mention that, i guess we will find out soon, they are only pregnant for 10 weeks.

How sad a cat took one of them! :(
I know i am quite sad about it, even though we didn't own it for long it was so cute and fluffy and we were just starting to get to know the personality, i told the owner of the cat and she felt terrible and offered to replace it but i said no, i feel like the one to blame because i let them out of the cage and wasn't watching them.

Hello, ladies! I've been absent for quite some time, but I wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing! My, have I enjoyed seeing all of these darling babies! So precious and perfect. I hope all you gals still pregnant are feeling well!
As for me, after a very sick first 28 weeks, I can safely say that I feel "normal" for the first time all preganancy. :) Now that I feel better, and the weather is gorgeous, I want time to s-l-o-w down!! I haven't done anything yet to prepare for little girl, as I'm working crazy hours at work, and have had two deaths in the family, one of which was my beloved grandma, which has taken us all over the place over the past few weeks. Getting very agitated and nesty, and desperately need a quiet weekend to get things done--fat chance that'll happen. ;) DH said she'll probably just have to sleep in the dresser drawer--lol. Anyway, other than that, it's been a wonderfully boring pregnancy, and I'm hopeful for my VBAC here in the next few weeks--fingers crossed!!
Hope everyone is doing well! xoxo

A bit worried that a kid at my DS1 class (sits next to him!) Has had fifths disease recently.. He has a rash all over his torso and slightly red cheeks. He was away a few days before the rash appeared as he wasnt well.. I was unwell the other day by feeling nauseas and headachey and DS1 has also had a tummy upset and headache but I havent seen a rash on him as yet and he seems well now.. I'll mention it at my Ob appt Monday, is there anything to worry about?? Should I ask for a blood test regardless of what the Ob thinks?? What would you guys do in my situation??

I already looked at the images too, ewwww! haha
I would definatly tell your OB that you may have been exposed to the virus, and they should have your blood tested, if you have had it you and your baby should be ok because you are so far along, but they would do another ultrasound to check the placenta and fluids. There is good information on babycentre about it. Fifth disease (parvovirus B19) during pregnancy | BabyCenter (http://www.babycenter.com/0_fifth-disease-parvovirus-b19-during-pregnancy_1463060.bc)

Thanks Cinss. Everything I've read says after 20 weeks you are less at risk but it still scares me sh*tless. My Obs offices have ultrasounds there so they do one at every appt to check fluid level and baby so she will no doubt have a look but I think I'd like a blood test anyway just to check my immunity to it as it may give me peace of mind.
Have you lost any more of your plug since the last time? You are so close to 37 weeks now!! We are only 10 days away from MAY!!! Can you believe it?? Time feels like it drags but then you think back and really it kind of flies, just doesnt feel like it in the moment. I cant believe that I could be holding my baby girl in 20 days! (or less if she decides to greet us early) crazy crazy, I really cant wait to know she is safe in my arms.

Happy for you, TTP. :)
Congrats Mrs P!!!
I never noticed any kind of mucus plug loss with my 3 boys, I was starting to wonder if I was one of those rare women who didn't have them. It wasn't until my 20 weeker that I discovered I did. With Cass, I lost my plug twice. Once right after the cerclage was removed and again the day I had him. It varied from red to pink, on and off throughout the day. Went into labor that night. :)

Bimby i hope you find out you never had the virus, my DD has actually been sick too and one of her cheeks goes pink lately, looks like heat rash or something so i will have to mention it to my midwife too, i have felt fine though. Try not to worry, i know its hard though, can you ask your mum if you had it as a child? If so you should be immune.
No more plug since that time in the shower, i think its normal to lose some and then it regenerates so nothing exciting going on.

April 22nd, 2013, 04:15 AM
Back from my Ob appt and I had the blood test today just to put my mind at ease about parvovirus but it takes about a week for the results to come in. The Ob I saw wasnt concerned really she just said if it turns out I and bubs do have it then she will deliver me and give bubs a transfusion if required. She said it definitely is more of a concern earlier on but noted I was worried so we got a blood test done. Im also having my heart monitored for a 24 hour period so make sure all is well there because of the dizzy spells but I think I need to limit caffeine and sugar as I have noticed they happen more after those 2 things so I guess its probably my answer..
On a brighter note, bubs looked great, fluid normal, placenta looked normal and growth is still 2 weeks ahead so she is feeding well :) The Ob pointed out her tummy rolls on the screen, it was so cute!! Funny how the rolls are cute on babies, not so cute on me now lol Anyway, I booked my C/S in with this Ob I met today, she seems lovely and I feel confident with her. So we are scheduled for the morning of the 10th May - times will depend on what ladies are booked in for the day ie: Diabetes, twins etc will go before me but she said it should still be morning.. EEK!!!! 18 days baby!! Cinss we could end up having our babies on the same day if you go a few days early :) Was your DD early??

Cinss how was your appt??
I am going to study to be an ultrasound technician. I've wanted to for about 3 years now, and the wonderful experience I had with the birth this time really inspired me to go ahead and do it! I can't wait :)
Cinss, I have never had a scan like that... That is the closest to the real thing I have ever seen! So awesome! And glad he's still a boy ;)
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Yeah i was really lucky, they were training on a new machine, you can see here how the normal one looks, then they hit 1 button and it comes out like the second pic here, then adjust the lighting some how and you get the 3rd image, it was amazing, i should have asked them to do the potty shot in 3d but they might have thought that was a bit weird haha.

Cinss, what a darling!!!
I had my appt this morning. Ultrasound showed good fluid and baby doing great. I opted not to have my cervix checked, mostly because I would be disappointed if nothing had changed. We've scheduled an induction for next Thursday at 8am if he doesn't come on his own before then. I'll be exactly 41 weeks. Can't believe after 2 preemies and a cerclage I'm going overdue!!

Hey everyone- just checking in :). I'm loving all the squishy new babies on here- can't wait to see more!
Cinss- those 3D pictures are amazing and I am super jealous!!!
I have 13 days till my c-section and have everything crossed that he won't come early. I really don't think he will... Monday is my son's 4th birthday and also the one year anniversary of my mom's death.... So this baby is definitely NOT allowed to come that day!!! Tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of work thankfully. The hormones plus all the sadness about my mom is just making me burst into tears all over the place this week. And we've been battling rotavirus with both of our boys- fun!
I hope everyone is doing well! Maybe the full moon will get some of those babies out today or tomorrow!!!!

DS3 has been a dream baby so far. He sleeps 4-6 hour stretches at night, never ever spits up and loves to cuddle, never really cries too much either. We have been very blessed! I totally deserve it though after my first two, haha! They were both awful sleepers and had terrible terrible reflux.

I read your post last night, then when I dropped him off today, they were having a lock-down drill. It made me feel a little better about his safety, but I still worry every single day. I forgot to mention, we just found out Colton has the same breathing problem that my middle son has. He has something called Laryngomalacia, Stridor, and retractions in his ribs and neck when he breathes. The doctors never could find anything wrong with my older son, but now we get to start all over again to see what might be causing it in Colton. It's really stressful knowing your children have a harder time breathing :(

mrshonyez
April 26th, 2013, 06:59 PM
Thank you ladies. Pinkin, that's awful. I'm so sorry you are dealing with it too! It's strange because my older son was failure to trive, and had so many problems gaining weight, but they weren't sure if it was related. He's almost 2 and still has it, minus the Stridor that Colton has. Colton is 10 lbs 8 oz at 4 weeks old, so he's way bigger. I have no idea what might be causing it. We do live at a high altitude though, so I always wondered if that was part of it.

April 26th, 2013, 07:31 PM
Its just the worst thing I find it so hard looking at his chest it really sinks in when he breathes and he seems to breathe fast.... Its always on your mind isn't it?? I keep worrying that something bad will happen to him even tho they say he is ok it just doesn't look right.

Rosie that made me feel better about this LO's hiccups because I swear she has them allll the time.
Did anyone else notice their baby practise breathing in the womb?? All my kids have done it and it is really obvious to me and anyone who catches it that this is what it is but I dare not mention it to my Ob as Im sure she'd think I was crazy lol I googled and found one lady said a sign it is breathing is that the baby will get hiccups soon after and Yup this LO gets hiccups straight after, so strange but also comforting to me that she is preparing for the outside world x

The last couple of days my braxton hicks have had the odd "twingeyness" accompany them... and just now I felt a pinch/twinge right by my cervix! What's going on? Never had such things with my son's pregnancy. Do you think it's just a subsequent full term pregnancy thing (taking into account my two miscarriages before my son) where the cervix area is just a lot 'looser' or softer so it tends to slowly dilate, or something like that, sooner? I don't think that's what it is... I may just be having more sensations with braxton hicks this time then last... but can't help but wonder, anyway!
Bimby
April 27th, 2013, 08:22 PM
Im not sure Gena but I am feeling more "painful" braxton hicks this time and I did with DS2 aswell. The cervix pains might or might not be doing anything, I didnt really get checked last time nor will I bother this time but Im sure its just normal subsequent pregnancy things.

Someone i know who was due exactly the same day as me said she put evening primrose oil capsules in her VJJ for 3 nights and she went into labor and had her baby yesterday. It was so quick she didn't make it to hospital had her baby in her bathroom and the ambulance came and took her to hospital. It was her 2nd child... Heeh, and here I am thinking giving birth in the bathroom is less scary/stressful then getting on an ambulance! Hahah
I hear sitting on the toilet is one of the more comfortable spots to sit during labor since it opens the pelvis wider and encourages the baby to come down... think I'll try it during early labor... or while my hubby fills up our birthing pool. :D

I wouldn't want to be checked either if i was having a C/S, i haven't had a single internal exam by anyone, is that right? I think i only had my 1st one with DD when i arrived at the hospital. Just a quick update...we are having some complications. I might be MIA for a bit. We had an emergency bleeding issue this weekend that lead to monitoring overnight in the hospital. Baby has suddenly and dangerously developed far too much fluid. We go to the doc tomorrow (I was released, still clotting, contracting this afternoon). We see a specialist on Wed, if they can squeeze me in. They are talking possible fetal abnormalities :( Although its a good sign it is later in pregnancy and her previous scans were good and did not note problems. I am on bed rest for the time being. It's likely the docs (I saw a different one because I was rushed to the nearest hospital, not the one my docs are at) will choose to deliver a bit earlier than planned if her fluid is still increasing so quickly. I'll know more tomorrow. But I am thinking of you ladies and hoping all goes well for soon-to-be deliveries. I didn't want to just disappear. I'll try to update.

Is it safe to check yourself? I've been really curious to do it to myself to see... never even attempted with my son but I'm so curious! Haha!
This baby has been having increased hiccups this past week!
In unrelated news... my hair is a wreck. I haven't been able to afford a haircut in ages (place I go to charges £48 - they're all fancy and vidal sassoon trained... I only trust them!) so I had been letting it grow out, but when I was working, I'd have to straighten it before work because I didn't have time to shower in the mornings and my hair looks like a wavy nest mess when I wake up. Well, my hair is terribly damaged. Major split ends that are breaking high up so it's just awful looking. It's really depressing. I'm cutting it all off again (like my photo sort of... except I've banned myself from straightening my hair anymore!) I've got a haircut tomorrow... my "prebirth" treat to myself... The lady who cuts my hair... I prewarned her on facebook to get ready to see a disaster... and help me. Heheh. So excited!

Pretty sure butterfly. My belly gets hard and they are a tad uncomfortable, but that's about it. They do happen often though. I'm so nervous. This is the first time my body had started to go into labor on it's own. With my first three I had to be induced due to issues with my liver. With my fourth I was induced 9 days after his due date. I did get a bloody show then too, but I had only dialated to 1.5 cm so they went ahead and induced. So my body seems like it's finally getting to decided when a baby will come...hahaha

That's awesome! I go in for induction too but I tell them no pitocin to start, just break my water! And it works :)
I wish you the best of luck and safest quickest delivery! Soon you'll be nuzzling that sweet little guy and lavishing him with kisses!

Hopefully you can avoid induction because artificial contractions are crazy. :( On your body and your bubby!
Sounds like how mine started, though! Maybe go for a walk today? :)

Is it safe to check yourself? I've been really curious to do it to myself to see... never even attempted with my son but I'm so curious! Haha!
As long as the waters haven't broken i don't see why not, i have clean hands as i am in the shower, and i figure DP's man part touches my cervix while DTD so its not that much different. Just be gentle if you check it out. And yay for new hair, i really have to get my regrowth done too, im going to try to get an appt Thursday :)

Well, I'm doing the perineal massage (because of my son's forceps delivery - got a nasty episiotomy cut so I know things are a bit 'off' down there :/) nightly right now, anyway... so... I guess I already got my hands up there! Haha! I'm going to give it a try tonight and see.

Good luck 3m!!!
My little guy was born yesterday at 12:43am! 7lbs 9oz, 21 inches. My labor was 3 hours from first contraction to birth, very fast and scary. His heart rate dropped and I was on my hands and knees, he passed meconium and his cord was around his neck. The NICU team was there to check to make sure he hadn't aspirated the meconium but his lungs were clear. He does have some bruising on his face from being born so quickly, and we are waiting to recheck jaundice levels in the morning, but he has been in the room with me the whole time and is nursing like a champ!!
How do I post pictures? Can I copy from Facebook or is there some other secret?

I hope you are holding a little one 3Men! So exciting we got a mini-boom.
As for me, we are still in a bit of limbo. We had our appt on Monday and baby looks pretty good. Fluid levels are as high as they thought, but not increasing at the rate they thought they would. So my specialist appt is on hold til after my appt on Thursday. We saw her swallowing, practice breathing, and peeing, so it ruled out some of the potential issues. She doesn't seem affected by any of it. She is growing like wildfire, already expected at over 7lbs. So that isn't an issue either. At this point, it's more of a "why" and how to keep me more comfortable. We did learn today that I have a fairly advanced UTI, which probably contributed to some of my cramping and pressure, but the bleeding was likely unrelated. So I am on antibiotics, bed rest, and twice weekly appts. They do plan to induce at 38 weeks if either her fluids increase more or remain where they are currently. Both of which are the more likely events, although its still possible for them to decrease some. I feel a little better after seeing my own doc and seeing her again on sonogram. She seemed so rotten and like she was enjoying her "swimming pool" quite a lot. Giving us a good couple scares. So I am really trying to think positive. I know we can handle it even if she has something causing this issue. But I am getting anxious to meet her and just move on from all this stuff.
A good friend of mine had her little boy this morning. He is darling. It's tough not to be envious! Lol.

I decided against the EPO, i got a guilty feeling last night and figured i'm not going to be pregnant for much longer and i should just let things happen naturally and let this little man choose his own birthday. Even though i am so uncomfortable now especially while sleeping, im going to miss this baby in my belly so i will hold off with any inducement ideas... but if i get to 40 weeks i might change my mind ;)

May 1st, 2013, 06:48 PM
Yeah I always was like that too Cinss. The only thing I did both times was acupuncture but Ds1 was the only one that used inducing points as I was 40 weeks (did ivf too do knew exact dates) ds2 I had ACU at 38.5 wks but it was more for strengthening the uterus. I think she did 1 point but said it wouldn't do anything unless I was going to labour anyway. He came the next day lol. Each to their own though xx

Hotdogz you could be meeting your LO in 2 days then if your doc was inducing at 38 weeks?? Is that right?
Actually, apparently we aren't inducing. I am so-so on it, but admit I was kinda bummed when they said that all signs are pointing to things being better at today's appt and it was a fluke. I DO really want her to come on her own (they won't let me go over the 16th though), but I was a bit selfishly looking forward to being done! So, for the moment, we are back looking at 2 weeks til she is here. Hopefully she decides to shorten that wait for me. I am rather uncomfortable with the weight of the water and baby. But she seems perfectly content in there. But I guess I prefer the good news to the additional wait.
Hope all our May mamas are hanging in there! Would love to see updates (and pics!) from our new mommies! Time is flying now :)

5 nights Cinss and CVD - I am happy to stay that long though. I get a nice room with a big queen bed and DH can stay with me (which he does) he also gets fed for only $100 for the full 5 nights and the food is great in the private section. I think he quite likes the bonding of just us with the newborn for those few days and I enjoy the rest as well. DH will go home in the day to spend time with the boys (hospital is like 5 mins from home) and give my mum a break. My mum will be staying at my house from this week and will probably bring the boys in on the Friday to meet their sister, Im sure I will be eager to see them that day too, all going well of course. (Ive told Oliver he can have that Friday off school as they are celebrating mothers day at school and I feel bad him going and me not being able to be there with him - he is happy to stay home with his lil bro and Nanny)

Aw that sounds so nice! Where abouts are you?
Here at my hospital, depending how busy they are, they may put me in a shared room in which DH can't stay at all (he'd have to follow visiting hours 8am-8pm!!!). And if he is allowed to stay he has to sleep in a chair that sort of pulls out, I am in a single bed. The nurses aren't very nice, they are very pushy and he doesn't get to eat either!! It's not a very pleasant stay almost the exact opposite of yours lol!

In Australia cvd - Its in a Private Hospital as I have private health cover (had it when we first started ttc as I had a feeling Id need IVF and I did so it has been well worth it for us although probably spent a small fortune on it)
Ive stayed in the public section too but that wasnt after having a baby - it wasnt too bad but I did share a room and the food was horrid but it didnt cost me anything and it wasnt a terrible experience but there is no way Id want to stay long after having a baby, especially if I had to share with another new mummy - babies dont have the same schedule, I could imagine there'd be very little sleep happening x

That does sound good! i am kicking myself for not going private this time, we kinda couldn't afford it at the time so just figured i did public once ill do it again. This time i intend to take off out of there asap though, it was depressing having to be there in a room with 5 others with only curtins separating you and not having DP allowed to come unless it was visiting hours.

Hi ladies,
Congrats to everyone that has had their babies! :)
Sorry I haven't been around for a while, my gorgeous little man finally made an appearance a few days late. Labour went really well, about 5hrs in total. I just used hypnobirthing techniques and a tens machine for pain relief, only had to push 3 times and he was born! No stitches or anything thankfully so I'm feeling great - just busy with my three boys now!
I am completely and utterly in love with him, my gd has well and truly vanished and I wouldn't swap him for anything. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with another gorgeous baby and could happily sit and stare at him for hours if I had the time!
Good luck to everyone still waiting. xxxx

I lost a fair amount of plug yesterday it was brown tinged clear, and had heaps of BH, last night i thought i was having more painful ones but i think just round ligament pain. Ooooh Cinss you are getting so close!!! I have a feeling we'll be seeing pics of your lil man in a few days or less!! Orrrr maybe we'll have our babies on the same day! :) That round ligament pain is excrutiating!! If I lie down on my left side after getting up for a wee in the night I get the worst pain ever! Feels like Im going to snap if I move the slightest bit OUCH!

Both of you are so close!! I love hearing your updates. I have another 12 days and doctor checked me today.. Still not dilated. Ugh. So ready!! I'm in pain too. Hurts to roll over in bed at night and when I've been sitting or laying down then get up it hurts Sooooo bad!! I didn't have this pain with my other pregnancies. Hope this week goes by quickly. You girls keep us updated :)

Well i didn't get checked and the MW's response to im losing my plug was - oh that a good sign. Bubs still posterior, heartbeat and blood pressure all good, and she said see you next week! She said she could feel his forehead just above my pubic bone, so it seems he isn't as low as he feels? Ill post up a bump pic soon.

Hmmm I bet you see your baby before your midwife lol!! I wouldnt worry about how high or low bubs is. DS1 was high & floating and my Ob thought I'd still be around in 1-2 weeks time but I had him that weekend (2 days after she checked me!!) So it doesnt mean much at all :) Fingers crossed for you hun x

Subsequent babies, I read, don't engage early on like the first (my son engaged a couple weeks before... this one is still floating around above the pelvis!)

just stalking your thread, its getting so exciting seeing so many close to meeting their little ones! Hope all the new mommies are doing well and the mommies soon to be thats your all keeping ok.
Cinss i rememeber my midwife telling me a lot of second plus babies don't engage until you actually go into labor so don't let it get you down, the other signs are all good and i think midwives get a little hardened to the birth thing and the anticipation new mothers have, they see it everyday. Heres hoping he doesn't keep you waiting too long x

Ciness, so exciting! Are they getting close together? Will be thinking of you!!
I seem to have the opposite problem. Baby is engaged and doctor said he won't get any lower BUT my cervix is still high & posterior. Any way I can help bring it down and around? I'm in pain when I walk!!

Well it was all over quick. Mum came to get DD at 8 then i had a shower and couldnt feel my cervix, laid down on my bed to try to do some of the relaxation breathing i have been practicing. DP rang the delivery ward and they said come whenever your ready. Felt this bubble come out my vag and pop soaked my bed then went to the toilet and my body was pushing. DP rang the hospital back and they told us to call the ambulance so i knelt on the floor on all fours pushed a few more times, the ambos came and out came baby. 6 pound 10. Went to hospital delivered the placenta now just waiting for an earlt discharge.

Midwife has just been for my home assessment.
She is head down, a little engaged (not sure which station but was told she's down a little into pelvis), is in the LOA position (ideal), my blood pressure is boringly normal... everything normal. All is go for homebirth. :)

OMG...it has been forever since I have been on here! I didn't mean to leave you guys, I just got so busy with x-mas and then we decided to move so that took all my time. I can't wait to catch up with everyone!
Here is my handsome little man...born April 2nd and the sweetest baby ever!! Woke up at 1:15 AM with contractions that weren't bad but quickly changed to unbearable. We arrived at the hospital at 3:10 AM and he was born at 3:49 AM...3 weeks early, sunside up, and 9 lbs. Drug free!!

Oh such beautiful little boys!!
I admit, I am crazy jealous of these labor stories rolling in. Just a few hours, birthing on the floor, adorable babies coming so quickly!! Lol. I am still dreading labor, although wishing it would happen soon!
I have my appt tomorrow and I guess we will see how things are. I know she is high and floating. And my cervix is too far up to reach at all. It looks like I might make it to my induction next Thursday. Which I am coming to terms with. Clearly she is not taking after her brothers! But maybe that means she will sleep...unlike either of them ;)
Glad your home birth is looking good surgena. Very exciting!! We are down to just a few of us, right? Amazing.

Yay Bimby! Hope it goes smooth as silk :) So exciting!
Little lady joined us this evening (May 9) at 8:26pm. She was 7lbs, 21in long. Her labor was scary (placental abruption) and very painful. But she was born healthy, hungry, and feisty...literally rushing out right before I was taken for an emergency c-section. I'll post some pics after we get home.

Hi everyone :). Just wanted to let you know that my little man was born May 8th. The actual c-section was rough and scary (after two completely wonderful csection experiences with my other boys)- but my little squishy is absolutely perfect. Joel Aaron was born at 8:14am - 8 lbs 11 oz and 21.5 inches. He is such a sweet little boy :). Congrats to all of you who've had your babies!
