sorry to hear that Jen :(
As for swaying I totally know what you mean....I didnt sway for a
few months and the last two months did some swaying but not hardcore. We conceived a boy before so think it
will happen again.
I dont know how u hard core swayers do it!
Jen, are you doing supplements?

Oh Jen I'm sorry to hear that. I think I will absolutely get worn out from swaying once I start really getting more serious with it. I've been lax on the diet (mostly eating more sugar than I should) because really, if we don't try til October, I'm not getting my game on until 3 months prior, so I'm doing some things now but holding off on others so I don't wear out. Otherwise I KNOW I'd fade with energy to keep it up. ITA that I feel like if I don't do it I'm going to get a girl for sure, and if I do do it I at least have a shot at a boy. And that is what has to keep you going, right? Knowing you did all you could do.
DD is in swim lessons and the kid there before her was a little boy. Talked to his mom a bit and she has 2 older DD's, and then him. It was so hard not to ask if they did anything different, LOL! I usually feel encouraged when I see that though... like it CAN happen, and for most people it probably happened quite naturally, with no egg whites or baking soda involved.
On the flip side I was at a dinner party 2 nights ago at a friends house who has 3 DD's. And they are just LOVELY girls. And it made me realize that I could definitely have a 3rd daughter and be happy :-) I needed that boost b/c lately I've been thinking if I don't have a son, I'll be crushed.

Okay girls I am 7dpo and no symptoms other than a little bit of
cramping yesterday. I am not sure what to think.
Iluvmyman....any symptoms???
I was really tired like 2dpo and 3dpo and I'm getting irritated pretty quickly but that could just be PMS or my normal personality. :) I'd ask DH but I'd prefer not to hear the answer. I bought an early prego test detector so I think I might test on Sunday which would be like 10dpo or 11dpo. Since I think I actually Ovulated during the evening of DTD plus the conception time. I'm making day 1 the day after we DTD. blah, blah, blah a-n-y-w-a-y, no symptoms really.
I like when I'm not expecting to get pregnant a little bit more than this. It's torture. :)

Iluv how many DPO are you? Are you a POAS kinda girl or a wait for AF kinda girl?
Ha! I am in NO way that patient. :) I've not been wanting to admit (darn you begonia and the way you get these things out of me!) :) this but I POAS this morning at 7dpo or 8dpo.
To my defense the website says u can "test as early as 6 to 8 days after conceiving". I'm bummed I didn't wait now since it was a BFN. I'm seriously like crap, I'd better get back full board on the diet if we need to do this again in May.
I'm thinking that if we DTD in the am and still got + opk that pm then it's best to think I didn't conceive till that next day which would put me at 7dpo today I guess. I think I'll test again on Sunday. Would make for a great Mother's Day. S/B 10 dpo.

On a side note is anyone so sick of swaying but too scared to stop? Now don't get me wrong I won't mind another girl I just feel that without swaying I don't even have a 50/50 shot at a boy.

sorry to hear that Jen :(
I dont know how u hard core swayers do it!
I guess I'm kinda hard core....so I'll comment anyway. :) It's just desperation. :) Being 35 and supposed to be the last DC, I feel like i have to go hard core. I'm sure I could do better though on the diet. The hardest thing for me was getting the amount of daily potassium and I hate water so I didn't even get close to the amount of water I s/b drinking. I ate a lot for me, but I just am not a super big eater. I wasn't hard core tracking the mgs of potassium or sodium but I thought I did OK. Like a C+ or B-.

Im so sorry:sad: And I feel the same way. After 4 girls I don't believe that we have 50/50 every time. I know that's what they say but I feel there must be something more to it for ppl with 3+ of the same gender. Why I have 4 girls if it's 50/50 right?

iluv I can't believe you tested already ... I LOVE IT! I swear I'll POAS 3DPO! Lol. By the time our kids have kids they'll probably have an app to tell you if you're pregnant or not right after you BD. That would be such a sweet Mother's Day present! My DD2 was born Mother's Day weekend
Flava ITA that once you've got several of one gender there is probably *something* going on that is naturally swaying you that way. I don't think it is 50/50 for everyone.

here is grapeseed (http://www.vitaminworld.com/pages/file.asp?xs=C5C60AD56A7B49B5922D0D5D6D1F252F&PID=2051&CID=48&CPID=388) and brewer's yeast (http://www.vitaminworld.com/pages/file.asp?xs=C5C60AD56A7B49B5922D0D5D6D1F252F&PID=478&CID=826&CPID=449) from Vitamin world.
They don't sell wheat grass anymore. So I got wheat grass juice (http://vitanetonline.com/description/50033/vitamins/Wheat-Grass-Juice-Powder/)from a health store here. Mix it in apple juice (or half water half apple) not so bad we mostly taste the juice. BUT I find the exact same thing online in capsules so I will order that next time.
Thanks Flava.
What does grapeseed do? And is it only for DW right?
I will order the wheat grass in capsule form, but next cycle ..I am now waiting to O.

I am thinking maybe it is better for us to wait... I dunno... DH left work yesterday officially to go back to study so our finances are going to be heaps tough and we already found it hard as it is.. maybe I am being silly wanting another right now.. :(
Plus, my almost 3 y/o STILL wakes at night should I try and get her out of this before bringing another newborn in this home?
Add to it, we have 10 people in my home right now as Mum and my sister and 2 brothers are living with us - long story there but it could be months and months before they get their own home..

MFC are you deciding to wait another cycle for more EWCM? It is so hard to pass a month up, isn't it?
AF was due today ... I had spotting yesterday and the day prior, and today nothing! So strange! Since we aren't TTC I am going to be ticked if we somehow got knocked up anyway  I am sure it is just late. I added L'arg but have only taken it 3 days, I'd be surprised if it delayed my AF on that? Anyone have L'arg mess with their cycles? With the EPO I've still been like clockwork. We'll see ... maybe it'll start later today or tomorrow ... but usually the spotting turns into full AF, I don't usually stop spotting. I had much less spotting this time too. Hmmm

I'm so glad you understand me, I was out w/ my girlfriends today and said there is no way that I'm letting anyone know I'm a homeschooler cuz I will give homeschool a really bad name. They were crazy, wish I could say that isn't somewhat normal though. :) DD1 was so compliant and I was so good and was never an issue ever and did I have it together.....then came DD2. She's cute my Oh My is she difficult. I used to think DD1 was so good cuz I was such a good parent. HA!
It's so hard right now with the little ones and trying to keep the house clean (failing miserably, in case you were wondering :)), plus everything else on our plates. But when all is said and done, I couldn't imagine ever looking back and wishing we had less children. There is a season and this crazy one will pass. That's not to say I don't call my DH crying that I just can't do it all and the kids are ganging up on me. :)
I'm super sensitive this way, but I only have so many years to have children, then it's gone, gone. I'll never get the opportunity to help create a life, to feel a baby kick inside my stomach, to nurse, to hear my child call me mom for the 1st time.....you know what I mean. What a precious gift, and one I've taken for granted in some ways.
2 boys would be great fun. I want my son get to be a "big" brother again also. DS#1 is such a sensitive child in a good way and has always loved babies. He keeps DS2 alive in such neat and precious ways. After what we went through I think it will be so healing for all of us.
Keep having children MFC, as many as you and DH think you can handle. You can do it!!!
Man, I am always so long winded. Thanks for bearing w/ me. :)

HUGS TTC5!! I am so sorry you're having a tough run love. I hope that today feels better for you. FWIW I got all kinds of mad at my DH yesterday and said the same thing about maybe we shouldn't have anymore. And he got pretty upset too. Trying this year :S
Add to it, we have 10 people in my home right now as Mum and my sister and 2 brothers are living with us - long story there but it could be months and months before they get their own home..
omg you scared me now...almost 3 and waking up? What's gonna happen with my DD4?:worry:
You and DH should tell the family to try to move out soon...I would go crazy living with others :hair:
Sometimes I also think WTH Im doing TTC again? We are all alone , never any help , nothing. So it's hard with 4 kids. Besides it will be another girl anyway who am I kidding here , right?:sad:

MFC, could you do the EW's if you don't have enough EWCM, and not have to miss a month? You might not want to risk it though.
I will use EW's any ways, but naturally EW would be better, It will make me feel more comfortable about my attempt, but I'm finally seeing some watery/EW CM ..I hope I am O'ing soon.

Selfish little jerk monkey of a husband. Grrrrrrrrrr. We had a nice talk the other night that ended in tears(mine, not his). He basically told me that he didn't want anymore. That if we had another his life was basically over. All I heard of course was "me me me me me". I don't know what to think or do right now.
I'm sending out tons of blue dust and hugs to everyone, in case I don't pop in for awhile.

Oh, that is so awful. I'm so sorry you are dealing with that. My DH goes on about how he wants a son and I cheerfully say I am up for having three if this sway comes out girl and he acts like three kids would be the worst thing that could ever happen to him. He has said the same thing as yours, that his life would just be over. I don't get it?! I just don't see how they can feel that way. Maybe he is just scared and overwhelmed about having another baby to care for? Worried the sway might not work? I hope he comes around.
And btw, I notice you are in Mississippi too!

Oh Mmsgirlie I am so sorry that happened! What changed his mind, he was on board when you got the IUD out right? Goodness. My bestie is in the same place with her DH now, too ... wanting a 3rd and him saying no more. It is SO hard. I hope he comes around to your side soon!
TTC5 I'm glad you're better emotionally! I do wonder if it had anything to do with the supps? Regardless I hope you can keep peace for yourself with all you have going on. You're a wonderful daughter and sibling to do what you're doing for your family.
Flava you've got a shot at a boy! It ain't over til it's over love and as long as you're willing to have more babies, you're ALWAYS going to have a chance at a son being one of them. I know what you're saying though ... I only have 2 daughters and there are days I feel like there's no way I can hope for a son. But more days than not I try to focus on the fact that it is POSSIBLE! Like Atomic says ... you have NO shot at your DG if you don't get pregnant.
This is really more a statement for another thread/part of the site but I'm too lazy so I'm going to vent here how much I LOATHE people who, when they find out I have 2 girls and want 1 more baby, say "Oh! You know, we would have had more if we had two of a kind too. But since we got one of each we're done." Like there's a "perfect" family and they have it and I don't. I want to dump my wine glass all over their laps. I don't think people realize how smug they sound about this topic so I don't say anything snarky in return .... but oh how I want to put them in their place!

Girlie, that's the best opening line I've ever heard! I am soooo sorry! You know I know how you feel and I'm sorry. I wish I could give you all the advice I was given but I can't remember it all. DH's work had a program for counseling and it might really help to get some advice like I did. When my DH finally jumped on board w/ this ttc, we were out of the house on a date, had some drinks and a great time, and the conversation went so much better. It might help just to get you both in a different element (we were out cuz our church was starting the book 10 great dates which has a really fun 1st assignment to talk about).
I hear a lot of men talk about their families being "complete" and not understanding why they need anymore DC. It's not a bad thing, and pretty common. It must stem from somewhere, though. Maybe if you go out on a date, have some drinks and relax you can get him to open up and really get to the deeper surface of why he thinks that. Like is it money, space, stress on him as a man, feeling like he can't stretch himself anymore, he's worried about your stress or doesn't get enough alone time w/ you as it is etc. Then, you can really see where his heart is, understand him and speak directly to his concerns. Men think so much differently then we do and they are not going to always understand this deep longing a lot of women have to help create life. This is a huge subject and we need to know where each other is truly at.You may have already done this though, and I get off my soapbox. :)
My counselor told me that for the sake of our marriage we really needed to come to some kind of middle ground. I was like there is no middle ground, either we do or we don't and someone has to lose. I can't say that he'll agree with you but let him know that he needs to just listen to you and see where you heart is.
A lot of men also seem to ask, "If I give you one more child, will that be enough or will we never be done", and you need to sort of think about that. Personally, my answer is, I'm not sure how I'll feel but I know that right now I am longing to do this again.
I'm thinking about you and I hope you will be OK. You might need to just give him a break for a couple weeks or month and bring it up again. When I was trying to convince DH for baby #4, he was saying no no no. I left it alone for a couple months and when I brought it up again he said yes. I heard him tell someone else that when I waited a while and brought it up again, he knew how important it was to me and that's when he agreed. FYI - I then decided I would be OK if he didn't want #4 and may have been pregnant even when I told him that. Oops! :)
Hope this helps a little. B prayin for you! :hugs:

Really!? The million Dollar family! who came up with the stupid saying? You can have a "million dollar family" and be miserable. That's so dumb! Why does our society continue to set these unreachable precedents! The people who coined that phrase are probably the same people that think you shouldn't have more than 2-3 children.

I can't imagine doing this for a year! I think it's more of the mental strain that goes into this rather than the diet itself for me. I'm 35 and there is definilty a bigger rush then in my 20's. So sorry to hear about your m/c, that is so rough. :( Our son died in December, the day he was born, and at this point we have no idea why. It's certainly put having children in a new perspective. This has managed to be a pretty big investment somehow, just seems to add up.
I really had no calcium much during the 2 months or so when starting to sway but not sure how much going forward I'm going to avoid dairy. I think I feel like if I'm not unhappy swaying then I'm not swaying hard enough. After my BFN, I'm re-evaluating my sway. I've totally blown the dairy in the 2WW for sure anyway, and it'll be only 2 more weeks before it's time to try again.
If it came to a year, I think I might have to really evaluate where I'm at on swaying for a boy or just getting pregnant. There's still always a 50/50, right? I've read about clomid swaying girl and twins!
Have you tried both EW's and/or Pre-seed? I'd love to pick your brain on what your thoughts are on the different sway options. I think at this point I'm still going to sway for boy but in the end, I'd really love to just have the blessing of another child. Of coarse this is only talk, who knows. I was bummed to get a BFN regardless of wether a BFP was a boy or girl. I don't know, less options when I'm in my mid-30's.

I am 35 and just want to be pregnant now too. I think things change with age and the loss of a child. Hoping for BFP for you!!!

mm I hope your DH change . Kids are not the end of the world.
ttc5 sorry about your mom! hope they can find a safe place soon.
begonia Im really thinking not to ttc and not have any more kids...Im not willing to have babys after babys until I get a boy. We are already over limit we don't have much place and money... I know atomic says it's 50/50 every time but I don't believe that. I have 4 girls 2 was a sway...doesn't look like 50/50 to me.
I also hate to be on the diet long so Im taking it easy for now and eat some cheese and so.
Hope the ladies in the 2ww get a bfp!

Sorry to hear about your son, i have been catching up with the posts & did come across the one you wrote about your son. You are a really positive person, good for you! Also sorry about bfn.
Yep i've been at it for a year but have only taken clomid once & have two more goes of it until we look at some other avenues. I always cheat in the 2ww & to be honest i am more relaxed about the diet than when i started, the reason i dont have much dairy is because i'm trying to do different things to when i conceived my girls.
I tried EW & wot a mess so i wont be doing that, i'm actually going to try preseed with bs this time around. I'm hear you about just wanting to be preg now but i also know that once i'm preg i'll start obsessing about the son i've always longed for so for now i'll do wot i can to help me get one & if it fails then i know that i did my best

find this in one of atomic post
Y sperm and lighter and thus, faster
The proportion of X and Y (male) bearing sperm in semen are equal. But male embryos and fetuses have a higher risk of dying in the womb. Consequently, scientists have been trying to find out why there are more male babies. Dr Smits and his team say their work supports the theory that conception depends on how viscous, or "sticky", the mucus in a woman's cervix is. The stickier it is, the harder it is for any sperm to get through. But Y bearing sperm are lighter(2% smaller), and swim faster. Therefore, if a woman takes longer to get pregnant, it may be that she has thicker than usual mucus. This would mean it is harder for any sperm to get through, so conception takes longer. And, when it does happen, it is more likely to have a boy because of male sperm's swimming abilities. Dr Smits said: "Women whose cervical mucus is relatively viscous would not only have more difficulties conceiving naturally, but also have a higher probability of male offspring if they do get pregnant. "This may explain why there is a higher chance, in general, of having boys."
ok I don't get it:suprise: we suppose to have lot's of ewcm for a boy right? But this here says the more sticky you have the higher a chance to have a boy?
Or it's just only if you always have sticky CM then you chance is higher for a boy but of course the best is to have ewcm?

Make that 11 now, my sister is coming too. that is another long story.
Mum is up and down right now, but I have a few appointments for her with social worker, drs and public housing to help us out.
I'd rather live squashed and have my Mum better in the long run, just a small sacrifice to pay for a woman who spent many years raising me and going without herself.
11 CRAZY!!! I can't handle that. I would take care of my mom, but my brother & sisters welcome only for few days. I can't handle it for a long time because I have a husband & kids. Good luck, I hope all goes well with her appointment.

Hey girls, been working a ton the last week and had no time to get online. TTC5, so sorry you have so many squatters and life is stressful....waiting till they go may be a good idea. Hopefully, at least, they are helping you around the house and with kids so you are not doing everything. I know how worn out I get when I have family in town staying with me....constantly washing towels and cleaning up, it is exhausting. I hope your mom is doing better. HUGS!
KFX for you ladies in the 2ww now....Spicy, barfing may be a welcome although uncomfortable sign, right! And Luv, you are getting near testing time too, if I remember correctly. (I just read through about 20 pages!). FXFXFX!
3PNB, sorry it wasn't your month, hun. I know how much it sucks to have to move on to the next one. Hope you are doing alright!
I doubt I can address everyone here, mostly because I'm tired and can't remember much.....but just hoping everyone is doing ok. And welcome to the new girls!
As for me, like I said, working a ton, which has taken my mind off of stuff a bit. I've just been kind of blah lately, and still not a huge appetite. I am just so sick of being heavier than usual. I think we will still go with ttc again in August, so I am planning on taking May to just relax. We're starting to take the antioxidant supps like Babydes was talking about this week, but I'm not doing anything until we are 6 weeks out. I can't believe that August will be one year of swaying for us, too.....with lots of bumps in the road. It is hard to keep up with swaying when it's been this long. I pulled an opk out this morning because, technically, I am on CD15 (although days 1-8 were m/c) but I felt a twinge in my ovary (the left one where they say some follies coming about at my ultrasound last week). It was interesting to know that I ovulated from the right because there was still a corpus luteum there and they saw the left with follies, so I kinda know what track I'm on, ovary-wise. Anyway, I almost cried when I got that damn opk out, just thinking HOW MANY OF THESE have I taken in the last 9 months? Good grief, I've probably spent a good thousand or more dollars on opks and hpts and supps and preseed. But, (and here is my positive part!), it will all be good if I ever get pregnant and actually have a healthy baby. Honestly, at this point, I don't even care what we get, too.
So, hope you are all well, am keeping up with everyone even if not posting frequently. XOXO

Glad to see you back! I think the break will do you some good because it certainly has done so for me. Talk about the money we've spent swaying, dont wanna think about it. How much does Q10 cost in the US, it isnt cheap in the UK. Oh the other thing i read on IG was that magnesium was very important for a healthy preg. There was a debate about whether someone trying to have a boy should take it & a lady went on to say that she had recurrent m/c's so she took it but did all other sway factors & went on to have a healthy baby boy
Actually logged onto IG today & saw that i had a 1yr anniversary mesg & it just made me sad thinking that it's been a whole yr since my m/c & that i havent managed to fall preg since that time.. I really hope that this yr has some good news for us Lola because if nothing happens i'm not going to carry on, i just cant keep doing that to myself. I dont know how to tell DH that this is how i'm feeling because he really wants another child & i know he'll be upset. I can only hope that it doesnt come to that

For real! I have MISSED my crew! I had zero time to pop on this weekend and DD2 turned 2 yesterday so I was a super good Mama and spent all my time fawning over her. I love this age. I confess I am not a "baby person" so much as I am a 1+ year old fan. I just adore hanging out with them when they are little people with thoughts they try to get out. Super cute.
Iluv ITA that if my sway isn't making me miserable I feel like it isn't working, LOL! Must.change.everything. Anyhow, I did get AF on Saturday so HOORAY! Never been so happy to see it! Flava are you seriously dropping out or just having one of those days? Believe me, I think if I swayed as hard as you did and still got another DD I'd struggle with trying again too. But I'm also totally the type of person that believes everything is possible ... so maybe, just maybe, #5 could be it for you? I wish I had some advice to make it better for you, Lola. I can totally understand just wanting to get BFP at this point. Sounds like you are burnt and hurting. You and your body have been through a lot and I do want you to know that I have been praying for you.

Congrats on Birthday #2 for you DD! I can't go with you on the infant thing. Sometimes I joke that I'd love more babies just not more children. :) It's a joke, no one get made at me. :) I l-o-v-e babies, I want to eat them with a spoon for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although, I believe they can improve a little on the whole sleeping through the night thing, then they'd be perfect. :)
Darn it, Begonia!! I really wanted a little giggle if you got a BFP, you are taking all of my fun away. So are gonna give it a go this month too or wait till August? I really messed up in the 2ww, but won't wait till June. I really wanted to have a new baby close to DS2's birth in December. This month would push us into February already. Too close to girl territory for me if I don't get a BFP this month then I'll have to re-evaluate when to ttc again. I doubt I'll give it up though and wait till the Spring again, I'm too old and need to, you know what or get off the pot.
10 Great Dates is OK. Our 3rd date is on Saturday and I haven't looked at the lesson yet. 1st date was amazing, 2nd I didn't love the questions. Hey, if it gets you on a scheduled date with DH, it's worth it and it gives you some things to talk about that aren't revolved around work and kids. I like it.
Seems like lots of people are on Clomid, even people who don't seem to have been ttc for very long. Maybe they are just telling their Dr's they've been trying for a year? I like the twin aspect but I think that might push DH into hospital time. :)

But I LOVE your yammering! It's so fun to read your posts! Good to know on the 10 great dates thing. We do have a regular date night but it does end up frequently being about the kids or the house right now. Or DH's work. Anyhow I will likely wait til September at the earliest, only b/c we agreed not TTC until we get moved into the new house. But if not September definitely October, because for some weird reason I *feel* like that will be our boy month, LOL! I would have in some ways loved another accident baby ... DD1 was such a surprise and she's the best surprise ever, so I would probably shake my fist at God while he laughed at me had I gotten a BFP. 'Cause now I totally get that my plans aren't always the best :-) How badly did you go off the diet in the 2WW?
MFC I didn't realize you had been trying so long, too. We have a handful of longtime ttc'ers on our thread. I can't wait to celebrate the hard earned BFP's for all of you!
Thanks for the bday wishes for the baby girl Lola! It was super fun :-) So do you have any more doc appts between now and August when you TTC? The amount of $$$ on the OPK's is ridic. I haven't used them for several months since we aren't actively TTC. I'll start again 3 months or so beforehand to get the hang of it again, because they are crazy pricey.
3PNB where are you lady?! Hope you're a-ok :-) Hope you're on a fabulous vacay. I think most of us could use one!
Oooo! Here's a chatty topic (I can't help myself! I'm a chatterbox!) What is your dream vacay! Have you been on it? Where would it be? Would you take your kids  On that note, would you even take DH?

I am out AF arrived yesterday. And I am DONE swaying!!!
I really just want to be pregnant. I am hardly swaying anyways. Everything was perfect this month and nothing. I am very disappointed as all my other pregnancies happened so easily.
How important does everyone think timing is?
The only things i really was doing to sway was timing, 4 day abstinence and diet changes.
When I conceived DDs I drank milk and crystal light like crazy! I have since cut them out and only drink lemon water and no dairy. hoping it helps.
I am sooo disappointed that it is taking this long. It has been over a year now with an early m/c and 14 week loss in there. it sucks.

I HEAR YA, SISTER. You need to do what is right for you. I remember after my 5th bfn month in a row, I gave up on swaying also. I thought I would get pg in the first try, I've always been super fertile. But, then I got a bfp in the 6th month with no swaying, and it freaked me out to think that I didn't do these few little things to push the odds towards blue, so I started back with it after that m/c, and was feeling pretty good about the sway for the last pg. I know, it is so very frustrating. But you know, you can't get your dg if you can't get a bfp, and I am close to being on that track with you. I am focused right now on stuff that will improve our egg and sperm quality and just make a healthy baby. Hugs to you, hun.

It's a BFN for me, Lola. A Big Fat Negative! I'm gonna try this month but I was sooo good last sway and totally blew it in the 2ww. Oh well, I just don't think I'm willing to wait till next month for the diet again.
I wish I had some advice to make it better for you, Lola. I can totally understand just wanting to get BFP at this point. Sounds like you are burnt and hurting. You and your body have been through a lot and I do want you to know that I have been praying for you.
Not sure if Mother's Day was a emotional for you as it was for me. I was hoping a BFP would make things feel a little more fair, but that's just not the way it works, is it.
Thinking about you, babe
THANKS, ILuv....it was not the best Mother's Day, but I did spend the day thinking about how lucky I am to have the two sweet girls I have been blessed with. You know, when you go through losses, you grieve for a while and then have to start perking up and remembering what you DO have.
So sorry you got a bfn.....I wrote in another post about this.....but I was totally there when I first ttc, I thought it would be a piece of cake. I had never used opks or anything, so I was all thinking, hey, if I'm hitting the nail on the head and putting sperm by my egg, this should take no time. Well, being 35 (34 then!!!), that was a crock. Just be patient....there aren't many of us who had a one hit wonder, no matter the age! Seems to me like you are doing an excellent job of researching swaying and getting a great plan in place, so you will get where you want to be soon, I am sure of it.

Oh, and about the diet and 2ww thing, ILuv....just get back on it now and don't fret about it. I did that lots of months. I believe that if you are nourishing your body with a wide range of nutrients and eating a lot of protein and keeping your blood sugar level, you are swaying blue like a MOFO, so you can start again right away! I am sure you haven't been starving yourself in this 2ww, so you are probably better off than you think!

Flava are you seriously dropping out or just having one of those days? Believe me, I think if I swayed as hard as you did and still got another DD I'd struggle with trying again too. But I'm also totally the type of person that believes everything is possible ... so maybe, just maybe, #5 could be it for you? My FIL is the 5th of 10; his mom had 4 girls before him, and then 3 more boys after him. Crazy. Anyhow I am with you on the drawing a line somewhere, and I know for sure 3 is my end point. Even if I knew it would be another girl at this point I'm convinced our family is supposed to have one more, so I'm going for it. Even if you don't sway again please stay around to hang out!
I don't know what to do...not sure about the everything is possible thing...also feel like we are fine like this now why start all over with another baby ? And most likely a girl anyway.

Dh and I have decided to take a break until my periods even out. The emotional roller coaster of late O and late AF is getting to me. Flava, I hear ya. I know I would feel the same way if I have another girl. And you are not mean to want 1 boy, that is why all of us are here.....we just want ONE of the other gender, which I think is completely natural for any human being. I want the experience of raising both genders of children, and therefore, I want a boy, just like you do. Doesn't mean I don't love and want and cherish my daughters...I just really want the next one to be a boy, and if it's not, then we will live our lives happily as the parents of 3 girls and I'll probably always wish I could have had a son, which will be hard to get over but I am sure I will someday. We can't afford HT, so that's it for us. And jeez, I say all this as if I can get pg in the first place.
I think it boils down to this: it's a risk....you never know, unless you go HT, that #5 will be a boy. So, you gotta take that gamble. Is it worth it to you? I know you don't *want* another girl, but could you be ok if you did have another failed sway? BUT.....on the flip side....if you never take that risk, you will never have your chance of having a son. I think you just need to talk to your DH and see how he feels about the possibility of a 5th girl, and then go from there. I can totally see how you'd be pessimistic about it, BUT (again) you never know! Maybe this one would work!
Either way, hugs to you, Flava, I know this is a very very big deal, and I hope you guys come to a good and peaceful conclusion so things are bright and sunny for you. XOXO

Oh and no1 said nothing about my questions on page 35. Plz what do you guys think??About Maca? IMHO it might be a good idea for mean only and for us Wheat Grass juice or Green Magma.
I often think about quitting the whole idea about 3rd child. But it's better to regret something you've done then something you haven't, right?
Why do you want to stop trying:
- you are functioning great like family of 6 and don't need any more?
- not enough space & money?
- DH is not full on board?
- you are afraid you will get another girl?
- all this combined?
Well all this are my reasons, esp the 1st one, we are doing great like family of 4 ( just our family make up sucks ) and my greatest fear is that I will ruin our harmony with another baby. That is what astrologist told me when I visited her before DD 2 was born: if you want a 3rd, it will be boy for sure, but very difficult child and he will ruin your life :worry:
I just laughed and said: oh, no each child is a blessing but a bug remained in my mind :worry: How ultimately stupid is that and what she knows in the 1st place.....
And of course, we don't have enough money, nor space, nor time....DH said to me few times he feels we are done and we are complete as a family. He never wanted 3 kids
At this point, I *think* I will be OK w/another girl, I have few names I really like for her ( boy name was decided before DD1 was born :sigh:)
I'll keep trying until I hit 40, and then I'll stop. It's a year and a half away, hopefully I'll get pg before that, but with all that swaying, I'm thinking: maybe my body is just not designed to conceive a boy

find this in one of atomic post
ok I don't get it:suprise: we suppose to have lot's of ewcm for a boy right? But this here says the more sticky you have the higher a chance to have a boy?
Or it's just only if you always have sticky CM then you chance is higher for a boy but of course the best is to have ewcm?
Flava I think this is a good Q for Atomic. On the Q re: selenium I have no idea, and I'm not doing Co-Q10 either so no opinion there either, sorry! I do take D3 because it is another one that is considered "good for health in general" but specifically for bone/immunity health. I'm honestly not sure how it fits in the boy sway other than the "more nutrients, better overall health = boy" idea.
I'm so sorry you're struggling so with the #5 idea! It is a tough decision and certainly well worth thinking through over and over again, for sure, so I think it is great you're weighing it out. Because it is life changing for your family and the baby-to-be. For me when I think about #3, and about NOT having it, the appeal is that if we don't have another, we know what we've got and we know you we can handle it and it is what it is. But TTC again means so many unknowns, and unknowns can be exciting but also scary! Only you and your DH know for sure what the right answer is. Like Lola said I just hope you can come to a decision you are at peace with!

The thing about the studies is they can go either way ... so IMHO timing just isn't a big deal, at all. I do however think if you know what you did for your DD's I would do the opposite, and it sounds as though you know what you did for the DS you lost, so maybe just try to mimic that again.

Me too Jen!!! I can't even make an attempt :( CM is creamy and no +OPK yet, I'm on CD 23. My cycle is really messed up, am really sick of it. I'm going to wait, but until now, I still don't know when to try

We went out yesterday and buyed all new underwear for him .Super thin boxers 1 size bigger what he really need so it's all comfy no squeezing around there anymore lol. Oh and I made him throw out all the old ones  and he did it so I guess for now he want's to try.:suprise:

For reals ZB ... we've had a boy name picked out for like, a decade now, LOL :-) Girl names I have a couple ... but nothing I love yet.
I don't have a girl name. My DH picked out our DD's names I never care. My DH named my DD2 at 2 days old. My second pregnancy was sad and I didn't care about name, etc (GD sucks:() but I have many boy names and I am glad to say I used one.
ZB, We have the money, but we are not rich, but we can handle DC#4, We have place too, but the only thing I am worry about is the difficult child. My son is NOTHING likes my girls he drives me crazy. I think boys are different then girls.

About Maca?

I can totally relate...I gained 5 kg and I'm closer and closer to my weight when I was 9 months pg w/my girls http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-sad050.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)
Anyway, I want to share smthg w/you guys....
This morning I ran into a sort-of-acquaintance lady ( our daughters are going in the same kindergarten) and she is very obviously pregnant lol! She has 2 girls already so I immediately asked is this baby a boy or a girl :p
Guess what....It's a boy....they allegedly wanted 3rd girl (:sigh: right...Are you buying that story?) I was beyond jealous, she didn't even sway and I already spent a fortune on supps etc :hair: And she is younger than me ( well everybody is, I should get used to that fact :D )
I felt like this http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-taunt003.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php) like she was deliberately trying to hurt me ( how disturbed am I ?)
It was so hard to say: Congratulations....

I'm skipping May-sway and probably June too, but yes, I'm planning to continue with DHEA. My periods are shorter too, IDK is this DHEA doing? It's like full-force for 24 hours and then much lighter (which is usually not the case) and all together it was like 3 days for real and 4th day so-so. Sorry if TMI!

This is so interesting! So maybe we don't need so much sperm to crack the egg together ? Atomic says 1 sperm can't crack the egg it will need a whole lot to help. But if it's only like 20 or less then I think they are stronger the I thought.( maybe I can try msu again...hmmm:think:)

Iluvmyman - sorry about af, I really hope someone puts a muzzle on her soon.
Princessap - screw timing (full pun intended) If it were huge there would be no shettles opposites and we would all tell the same story. I'm focusing on diet, I don't need studies to show we all have the same habits with very few exceptions. FX for you next month, one of us needs a bfp dammit!
MFC - thanks, my midwives think(:fingers:) things will even out in the next month or so but there's not way to know for sure. My last period was super late but fairly normal so I have hope that regularity is on the horizon. I could never have imagined one little m/c (ha ha) could mess me up so badly. Oh and fish oil and musinex create amazing cm :)
TTC5 - Ugh on the bigger pant size, I feel your pain, my fat pants are snug and my awesome pants are on hiatus.
ZB- I get you on the poking, my sil whines about how much more fun it is to dress girls and how she can never find anything good for her son. Boo hoo, I wish I had your problem
Babydes56 - I swear the more you learn about conception it's amazing anyone gets pregnant ever let alone on accident.
I'm thinking I need to go back to checking in a couple times a day, you ladies have been to chatty to fully catch up on lol
Feeling good here, need to watch my eating more as I've gone back to my old ways a bit. I really don't want my hiatus to destroy my chances so it'll be regimented meals and snacks for me. I've spent way to much time and put on too much weight to let my body to suddenly think it's famine time again. Sunny day today, the park is calling.

3PNB, I've totally reverted back to my girl diet....which is coffee first thing in the am and then no food till 10am, then lunch at 2pm, then dinner. Which isn't terrible, but my blood sugar does suffer in the early part of the day. I have laid off the potatoes also, and I think I've gone down a few inches in the midsection for sure in the last couple of weeks. My fat pants which were snug at my heaviest are now loose. But, I think I am going to start the diet again in the next couple of weeks. And the supps, I've been just taking a prenatal. And Begonia, I have a multiantioxidant, CoQ10, and then the usual boy supps. I will post a more comprehensive list once I get that huge sack of pills out of the closet and start putting them in the many pill dispensers we use daily when swaying. UGHHHHHHH
I am not taking the DHEA though....I don't know why it's making your periods lighter, that is interesting. Do you gals think your T is rising with it?
Iluv, sorry about AF.....don't freak, we all just get back in the saddle and go for it again. It's up to you if you want to take a couple of months off and gear up again or just go for it next cycle, with as much swaying in the 2 weeks AF-O as you can do. Sounds to me like you are impatient (LIKE ME!) about ttc.....well, we all are getting that way.....so just go for it if you want that bfp badly enough. The only time I took a month off was when I had the first m/c. I think the best thing to do is just cut out your supps during the 2ww and keep up the diet, but everyone worries that they don't get the "optimum" sway if they haven't been taking the supps and doing diet hardcore for 6 weeks.
So, yes, let me comment on the fatness one more time.....I am going to the beach tomorrow, and am still deciding whether to wear a MUUMUU all day and not even put on a bathing suit like an old lady, or just to make us pick a spot that is so far down the beach that we are the only people. I will tell you guys, the boy diet for 8 months has wrecked my figure, and the fact that the summer is here and I now need to wear skimpier clothing is making me even more irritated.
ZB- what a wear thing to say, that you wanted a third girl.....I would just not say anything to anyone at all, whether I wanted a boy or girl! That is the s$%t that kills me.....maybe I could just go on living my life without freaking about timing, supps, being a fatass, etc, and STILL MAKE A BOY!!!! I am just not that brave!
And we do need to have another bfp here soon, this is getting depressing. I am not going to ttc much longer than a few months after we start back, I'm getting too sick of it also. If we don't get a bfp by October, I am just stopping all of this and going to "living my life" plan again and if we accidentally get pg, and if it's a girl, well then I'll be just elated that I got pregnant at all.

Yep, they recommend for 90 days as that is how long it takes an egg to mature in the follicle, thus, for the DHEA to affect the egg's quality.

Over a year! I don't know that I could hard core for a year. It sounds like Diet and Supps are the most important aspects of sway. Timing seems to be heavily debated. I know Atomic has a sticky on that somewhere.
Sorry! I'm with you but not a year, so sorry.
Iluvmyman....thanks for the response, this sucks and I really hope we all get BFPs soon. I haven't been swaying for a year. I did have an early m/c and then stopped for a few months and then swayed a little for a month when we conceived our son who we lost at 14 weeks, so I stopped swaying the whole time I was pregnant and didn't think I would sway again so I TTC without swaying for a few months. I am swaying now but really only doing diet and some supps {folic acid is really the only one}...my OB advised against other supps and I trust her so we are sticking to natural. I am hoping it all works out!

Thanks for this...I am going to try this this next attempt and then if I am not pregnant I am going to let whatever happens, happens. I got pregnant with my DDs so easily and find this soooo stressful...it is all consuming and I don't want it to be this way for much longer.
Someone posted {sorry too many pages back} that I should do opposite of my DDs....well my DD1 was a one time hit on OV day and my youngest was frequent BD thru OV and the boy we lost was 4 day abstinence and then DTD two days in a row, ) and )+1, so timing wise they are all different and not "according to theory of what works for each gender"....man this was easier when TTC was fun!

Cut out chocolate, fizzy drinks and sweets limiting calcium but not strictly (no dairy etc but still eating some in vege etc. Drinking green tea, and v8 veg juice both once a day and different fruit juices, lemon water. Doing weights once week.Supplements i am on 2000mg FA, 50mg zinc, potassium suplements, 1000mg fish oil, 500mg vit E, will do ASG, BSF month of try, as well as guanaifesen 5 days prior to ov.
welcome and good luck! If you do weight once a week is not enough. And I don't know who is cutting out calcium "strictly" really? ( speak up plz lol) all I know to do best is no dairy...but the rest? We all need to eat fruit and veggie and drink juices right? Really I have no clue how much calcium is in one carrot or grapes or so on.
I think your diet is good!

I checked the ph of my green teat and it was 3.6:suprise: I drink this all day but I make it with struvia and lemon juice. So even if the ph low it's is from the lemon and it's ok to drink because it's suppose to raise ph after we drinked it or I better get some ph drops and add it in my drinks?

I have no idea...I was thinking we need the 4 day before we dtd.But if you do it twice then for the second try you have only 2 day abst. right?

From what I understand outside the body lemon is very acidic but once it hits us inside it is very alkaline?

TTC5 are you trying this month now? Or just getting the OWT outfit for future prep? I bought the most adorable little outfit last year when I was shopping for another friend who, of course, was having a boy. Like it seems like everyone does. Anyhow I have it in my lingerie drawer now, LOL ...
Welcome Cheekymoo!
Thanks for letting me know that y'all did get pg 1st try, MFC and 3PNB! Encouraging! But I definitely am not expecting it. I still can't believe both my girls happened so fast. Well the 1 on BCP's didn't exactly "happen fast" since obvi we weren't trying, LOL!
I haven't been on all day! Life has gotten busy lately for some crazy reason! Hope everyone is doing well :-) Still wondering about our Skrimpy and that baby girl!!! I know her due date was end of month but I also remember her saying that she thought it might happen early this time. So exciting!

Thanks for the welcome girls,
I am sorry to hear you are putting on so much weight- but it must mean your doing this swaying thing right! I am eating so much of all the things i used to avoid I am too scared to even weigh myself ( and i am only 2 weeks in!). I am also hoping it happens quickly so the scales won't be too scary when the BFP eventually comes.
I am struggling with my PH ATM...I was expecting it to have risen at least a little, admittedly I haven't started the ASG yet but aren't some of the other vit supplements supposed to help?? MY PH is 5, and even at O time it was still 5!!
Those that have done the baking soda drinks etc how long do you think it took for your PH to rise?? I am wondering if it's best to start now 1 or 2 a day for the next 6 weeks?? Mabye more close to trying time? Would love some advice from you more experienced girls! :)

This is exactly why I don't think the timing or frequency matters that much. Atomic conceived her sons in many different bd patterns, she told me. I'm trying the 2 day abstinence, then bd on 0-2, then on O the first month, and if that doesn't work, I'm going to the SMEP plan (Deanna's plan) where you bd more frequently....its one that is used for infertility. Although....both times I got pg this year, we bd on o-1 and then on 0, and I think also on 0+1 the first time. I just don't put too much stock in the timing aspect. I would definitley NOT bd like 0-3 or 0-2 and no more for a boy, I do think you need to bd on O day for sure.

I would consider your O to be on CD14, so bd on day 8, then on 12, then 14. Do you think you actually O on the 2nd day? I would guess so.

EXACTLY! I brew a quart of green tea, then put it over ice so it is cold, then add lemon and Stevia and kill 3 birds with one stone there.

I remember from IG cold drinks/foods sway blue, hot sway pink, but I forgot the reason behind that.
So I'm drinking my green tea cold, I even eat canned soups as cold as possible. If that doesn't help, I don't know what will:rofl:

Yes, I've noticed too there are so many HT threads, but I enjoy reading them bcos I can learn so much about what IVF ladies are taking in order to conceive easier and improve egg quality - like CoQ-10 for instance.

I hope you boy swayers don't feel like that matters. I am very aware of the boy swayers being a mom that desperately wanted a son as well.
There are definitely more swaying users than HT and HT has its ups and downs with activity depending on if there is someone currently cycling.
I'll never treat the boy moms any different or less than the girl dreamers! I hope you all know that!
Outnumbered doesn't make you any less important to me!!

Oh no I don't think that! I wish I can do HT and get my boy for sure and we are all done. But we don't have money so I can't. And I guess more mom has boys so more ttc ladies are here.
What I meant was there is always less woman ttc boys somehow. It's just shows that most mom has boys I guess.
