You could do what a friend off my did ask the tech to wright it down put it in an anvale and give it to dh that way he know and you would not. You both get what you wand that way.

Not sure it would work - DH is awful at keeping secrets. He'll tell me by mistake! So either neither of us know or we both know.

icesfire finally gave in & called the dr today. I've had to be on Zofran in the past but I guess I hoped that by my 5th pregnancy my body would deal with it better. Guess I was wrong! LOL

Sorry to hear girls you are feeling so sick. It's awful isn't it! I was still sick this time still not 100 percent in the mornings but getting there. I was so sick with the other pregnancies. I took zofran. It might be worth asking your Dr about it. I took b6 this time and chewed lots of gum. That seemed to help. Still having the h/a on and off. I hope everyone feels better soon! It's so hArd especially around the holidays!

Hi hope everyone is doing well!!

I have this crazy symptom and this never happened with my son but its happening now & I wanted to find out if any of you had this. First, this is my third cold/sore throat in past few months. The worst part is that whenever I blow my nose, and kind of gross I keep on getting blot clots that come out and I have very dry stuff in my nose, and it's balls of blood. I am 100% going to call the nurse, I read that nose bleeds are very common but this has never happened to me. Has this happened to anyone?

dreams- hope your sickness goes away it should ease up by 13 weeks

GT- I had that with my last pregnancy.. This is from babycenter.com

"Pregnancy can cause the blood vessels in your nose to expand, and your increased blood supply puts more pressure on those delicate vessels, causing them to rupture more easily. You're especially likely to get a nosebleed when you have a cold, sinus infection, or allergies, or when the membranes inside your nose dry out, as they do in cold weather, air-conditioned rooms, airline cabins, and other dry environments."

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but it's winter here and my nose is EXTREMELY dry and irritated. I assume your blood is just clotting before it comes out. Hope it's nothing more than that!!

Gt one of my first signs of pregnancy is always that my sinuses go crazy. I immediately clog right up & I'm stuffy & have bloody noses for the next 9 months. I can def say it was the worst with my DD I remember called my OB begging him for something to help clear them so I could breathe. Hope it clears up for you quick. I hate being stuffy esp since we really can't take anything for it!

Thank you everyone for your posts! I finally heard back from the Dr. & started Zofran. I really think yesterday was the worst day ever! I don't ever remember feeling so sick, Zofran couldn't even help. Slept in today, took my Zofran & I'm feeling pretty good! Fingers crossed this lasts & that everyone else starts to feel better quick!

Had my NT scan today (12+2) - all looks well from the scan. LO looks to be on track for due date. Blood test taken and will get the results by Wednesday/Thursday. S/he was huge fidget - took forever to do the measurements. Of course, by the time we wanted LO to act for us, s/he dozed off! Had to jump around to get baby to co-operate.

Got a couple of scan piccies but scanner won't work (stupid Windows 8). Grrr! I still think boy, DH still thinks girl. Another scan due in just over a week.

dreams, glad you're feeling a bit better. My nausea eased off but it was never as bad as yours.

Oh the headaches/migraines! Anyone else been suffering from these? I have had them for about 3 weeks now and the last 2 days were bad. All day/night and nothing much I can do. My DH is a Dr so he knows there isn't much I can do but caffeine, Tylenol and ice packs. But I try and limit caffeine/ Tylenol until it's unbearable. I guess I don't do well with girl hormones? I never had this with the boys but I had them bad on birth control pills..
At least I can function somewhat today. I hope no one else has these!!
Wow how crazy is this! I had HORRIBLE headaches & migraines with ALL my boys pregnancies. They were so bad if I bent down my head throbbed. Now this time I don't know the sex but head aches aren't horrendous anymore.

This was a private scan, so we had to pay extra for the DVD. I'm not sure it's usually done as standard.

Yes, I thought that's what I saw. There was a lot of footage the sonographer didn't record which I saw what I thought definitely looked boy, but two minutes later one that looked girl. But yes, those definitely do look boyish. Just told DH your verdict, he paused and said "if it is, do you want to try again for another one?". Whoa! Let me have this one first!

Our scan tomorrow is a private scan as well so I don't get why we can't have it on video. Somehow I am really scared the doc won't allow to film it. I bet I won't sleep tonight. I am so excited to see Baby B since s/he was always hiding in the corner and we were not able to get a good picture of her/him yet.

Hi girls, hope you all are doing ok :)

I will be 8 weeks on Wed and weighed myself today as felt very bloated, and was surprised to see I haven't put on a single pound.
With my first two pregnancies especially the first, I was very quickly out of my own clothes, mostly due to fluid retention.
How is everyone else finding the weight gain? Is it just too early at eight weeks, or should I be worried??

I can understand a little I they don't do DVDs, but I'd be very surprised if they don't let DH record it - there's no reason why he shouldn't be able. I have my FX all goes well and you get a recording. I think you'll get one of each, I hope they cooperate tomorrow.

I still don't have a due date, I have an appointment with the Dr tomorrow and will most likely have to go somewhere else for an ultrasound as my Dr doesn't have one (My DH works at the US Embassy and that's where we get our medical). This will be my 3rd and I am finding that I am already starting to show and have gained 2 lbs in 1 week which is good because I am underweight and need to gain weight. People can't really tell so they most likely think I have a fat belly when they see me out and about lol

My weight gain isn't too bad, surprisingly. I have been bloated a lot from the beginning, maybe 7-8 weeks, so am still unsure which is baby and which is bloat. When I wake in the morning, my stomach looks completely flat until I get up. Really ought to get a photo done before too much longer.

I think it's 12 weeks here too - I went and got an early scan done privately for my own peace of mind, especially since I had earlier losses and also count as 'at risk'. If I hadn't got my private scan done, I wouldn't have had anything until Monday week (23rd) at 13+4!

I have my FX all goes well. In all honesty, 10 weeks is too early to really make gender out (12 weeks is still a little too early). At 10 weeks the only real way you might have a guess at gender is by blood test.

Hey bunny, what a cute baby! It does look boyish but it's definitely too soon. I'm not even sure that's the nub. I'm so glad you are happy with whatever gender you get so all you get is joy from looking at those pictures.

As for weight gain, I put on a bit already, about 2 kilos, but I spent my life dieting and always struggled with my weight, so I'm not surprised. The last 2 weeks I've been too nauseated and put the fork down for a little while, for my own sake, but I always get a bit heavy when pregnant :(

GD is so hard :( this is my 4th after 3 boys and definitely our last. Some days I'm ok with having a boy (at least I've convinced myself if that for the moment) and other days I make myself sick wondering if it's a girl! A friend of mine just found out she's having a girl after 2 boys and she's so excited. I want that to be me!! I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow and at 13 weeks my sister will scan me and get some good shots of the nub for me (if baby is willing to cooperate!) it doesn't help either that everyone around me is telling me "you have to have a girl!!" I know how you feel. Sometimes I picture myself being told it's another boy and most of the time I'm ok with it, but then I picture myself in the same situation but this time it's a girl and I can see the smile on my face. If it's a boy I'll have to get used to the idea, and if it's a girl it will be pure bliss. I know this is my last chance of having a little girl but at the same time I don't want it to take the joy out of just being pregnant. I want to enjoy this moment and I am already preparing myself for a boy, I don't even look at girls names or choose clothes so then I don't get disappointed. But is it very hard when someone else has a baby girl. I remember when I had Aidan, my sister got pregnant and found out she was having a girl, it was so bittersweet. But I wouldn't change my little man for anything, so I'm trying to remember what it felt like and reminding myself I will love this baby for he/she is, regardless of gender. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello,
Congrats to all the new group members :)
I've gained like four pounds in the past week (and four total for the 8 weeks) but I think most of that is bloat and a lot of good food on vacation this weekend. I don't think I'm showing at all really yet but my pants are getting tight so I guess I'll have to shop for new ones soon.
My first doctor visit is tomorrow and I am so nervous and hopeful to hear the heartbeat. Someone I know had a missed miscarriage and until I hear the heartbeat I'm sort of holding my breath. Maybe I will buy one of those fetal dopplers for home. Does anyone have one that works well that they'd recommend?
I'm sorry to hear so many people are feeling sick. I'm a little queasy sometimes and have headaches and am tired, but none of it is too tough. Maybe it's easier for a first pregnancy.
I hope everyone who has holiday shopping to do will take it easy if you need to!

Thanks for asking Momof3boyz. The doctor visit went well. She didn't try to listen for a heartbeat because she said 9 weeks is too early, but the internal exam indicated I'm at about 9 weeks. So I feel relieved to know that all is normal so far. They took a lot of blood :-/
The funniest thing was having to give two urine samples in an hour and not having to go (for once!). I have to pee really often but when I needed to it was kind of hard. Now I just have to decide which screenings to do etc and see the doctor again in four weeks. It seems like a long time.
I'm going to try out prenatal yoga tonight.

I know I shouldn't be able to feel much at the moment, but am certain I can feel baby move. Not kicking, etc. but I have felt him/her move from the centre of my tum to the side. Tummy finally looks like I have a little baby in there - if I wake in the morning on my back there's a little bulge below my naval line which started on Tuesday. My stomach used to be completely flat when I woke.

Last half day at work tomorrow before breaking up for Christmas, then scan on Monday morning - looking forward to this one. Hoping LO is a little more cooperative than last time as bubba's granddad is coming to the scan. So excited!

Thank you to those who posted on my GD I'm glad I'm not alone. GD is a nasty demon & no matter how hard you try to fight it, that desire 4 the opposite sex is still there :( on another site i read about a lady who's going to have her 8th daughter!! Her 8th one!! And another lady just had baby boy number 6 !!! I wonder how bad do I want a girl? Am I willing to have 6 7, 8 boys in total just looking for a girl. GD sucks!!!

It does suck! But I am definitely NOT willing to have all those kids just to have a girl! 8!!!! Brave woman!

Tired, tired, sooo tired! The last few days I can hardly function, seriously! I remember being like this later in my pregnancy with Aidan and the Doctor gave me iron tablets. I will get DH to bring me some today. I am feeling physically exhausted instead of just sleepy, have shortness of breath when doing something mildly physical and I look pretty pale. I think I have iron deficiency. I had anaemia in 2 out 3 pregnancies, so I hope a boost in iron will make this lethargy go away.

17 weeks & still having morning sickness :sigh:

Oh dear, that's horrible isn't it? I hardly had any nausea with my last 2 but this one is making me pay for it. I know I'm only 8 1/2 weeks and it is the peak time for nausea, but I feel nausea pretty much all day, just varying in intensity. I hope it will be gone by 17 weeks though. Hope it leaves you alone soon.

Well, while I know this is just a test 4 fun & it picks up your ph level in your urine, I did the intelligender this morning & followed the directions to a T. Of course- it said boy results. With my last baby it said girl & he is all boy lol not holding any stock to this. Did it 4 fun. Heck! Not even holding on to the shred of hope I got when I did the ultrasound. Tech said she didn't see any testies but! Since baby's legs were crossed she can't say whether it's really a girl. I'm going to call a gender place today & see if they have an opening for later. Going to find out gender one way or another lol

Check for iron deficiency, it tends to get worse around 20 weeks when all iron reserves are depleted. I had an iron tablet last night already feel better today (maybe placebo effect, let's see if it will hold :)

I have a doppler I bought online and picked up both babies at 8 weeks 5 days :) So I am so positive you will get to hear next time for sure! Glad all is well!

Praying you're right! I asked the guy who was doing the scan in a joking tone if it was true that a higher heart rate meant girl and he said 'you can believe whatever you like, all up to you', so he didn't back it up :) But it was a good scan, he had a good sense of humour and spent a long time doing the scan, he even told me to get my phone to make a movie of the screen as they don't do it at that facility. But when I saw the heart rate I got all hopeful it's a girl.:flowerz:

:tissue: I'm soooo sad!! I'm just so blue :( going to see if I can get squeezed in 4 a gender scan today or tomorrow & I'm soooooo afraid it's a boy :( I've been obessing over skulls & comparing to mine & I think I have a boy skull! Plus it doesn't help that all those stupid OWT point to a boy!
The only thing different are my symptoms & that the baby's heart beat was 156 when I first heard it. I don't know anymore. I give up! Even doing everything opposite of current boys I may still end up with yet another one!! Not to mention yesterday my stupid ignorant brother's response was- wow! Freaken number 5, that's a boy another boy. Tell me why I wanted to just punch him in his stupid face. Oh & of course he's having a GIRL in February!!! I need to find out already so I can stop making myself sick over this.

Have any of you ladies ever had a Subchorionic hemorrhage with any of your pregnancies? This is my 4th pregnancy and I never even heard of it until now. I was in the ER Friday night because I was bleeding very, very bad. They did an ultrasound and said baby was fine but the hemorrhage has gotten bigger (they found it when I was 5 weeks and had some bleeding) and I need to call my OB on Monday because they will need to monitor it to make sure it stops growing and goes away. They said it can cause problems if it doesn't go away. I'm just worried and hate the fact that I'm bleeding SO much..

This happens in HT often. If the bleed is bigger than the baby, there's a big risk of losing the baby. Now that you know, you need to be monitored until it goes away. I would really try and take it easy if it is very large. Even bedrest at this point.

I agree with nthinbutpink. Bedrest. I know its impossible with 3 kids but get help. I bled pretty bad with my first boy and was told to guard rest for 2 weeks! I really pray all is well with your little one and the bleeding stops.

My Dr's have told me to take it easy so I encourage you to do the same. And now that you know what seems to make it worse you can TRY to avoid that. I know with kids it's a struggle. This morning's ultrasound went well, albeit fast. Note to self: scans at 11am are very uneventful. Baby's naptime again! My due date has been skipped ahead a couple of days to 24th June, so 14 weeks tomorrow (which is also step brother-in-law's birthday). Measuring at 8.4cm CTR.

Couldn't see anything of gender during the Ultrasound. Scanned in one of the photos in which I think I might see something gender related but not too sure:

Bunny- glad everything went well!! I'm no good at gender guessing, but I'm happy to hear you and baby are happy and healthy!!

Thanks for all the advice ladies! I talked to my doctor this morning and he wasn't concerned one bit. I had been seeing a midwife but after Friday I decided I better see my OB.. My appointment isn't until January 14th and it's with a nurse, not even a doctor! So I was pretty upset about that.. I'll be 15 weeks by then! Is it normal for a doctor to be so laid back about it? I mean I know he knows more than I do, but there is so much blood and I'm in pain. The only thing keeping me sane is the fact that my sister is going to give me an ultrasound next week so she will look at the hemorrhage. Anyway, I did some cleaning and started wrapping some last minute gifts and I got a horrible pain in my pelvic area. Thankfully DH is super supportive and made me go lay down and said he will finish everything else that needs done today!

Bunnywabbit how cute is your baby!! :)

AFM one of my fellow radiographers did a quick, sneaky scan for me today, as the midwives wouldnt offer me one, and I got to see a heartbeat at last :) Its so amazing to see how even at 9 weeks our babies are developed. Reassuring for me too, as havent put on any weight and apart from ms, don't feel pregnant at all.

Merry Christmas to all ... On Xmas eve we received our harmony results that confirmed baby very low (lowest) risk and a boy! I am surprisingly coping better than expected but we haven't told anyone yet we are pregnant and my husband is not dealing with it well at all. I am feeling a bit sad as I was so set on adding a girl to our family, and every gender prediction I did said girl ... And it's still a boy. He was obviously meant to be.

I need so help ladies! My sister is going to scan me next week to hopefully get the gender. I'll only be 13 weeks and she said she doesn't feel comfortable saying 100% either way so early but she will tell me her guess. The past few days I've been panicking!!! I have prayed for the baby for over a year now.. I've prayed for patience and understanding (if we don't get our girl).. So much has built up to this moment! It doesn't help that my mom and my mother in law both make it very clear they want me to have a girl!! (My mother in law had 3 boys and has 5 grandsons!) I just feel like if it's another boy they won't be excited about it and it will make my GD even worse... My stomach is in knots :(

Thanks ladies!! :)

My due date will probably be somewhere between August 23 -25, depending on if they use my LMP or length of cycle. Usually they use a mix between the two and factor in the ultrasound. Don't get my first appointment until the end of January though :( Can't wait to hear a heartbeat!

You can view my terrible sway here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/add-your-girl-sway/38269-from2to3-ttc-girl-sway-attempt.html

I can't believe so many of you have found out what you are having already - and so early! Congrats!! My heart goes out to those who are struggling with disappointment :(

menlc611- wishing you the best! How unfair of your family! They should not put that pressure on you and you should feel like you can be happy no matter what - not like you guys let people down! Good luck!!

When did most of your symptoms begin? I'm almost 6 weeks. I feel like I had more symptoms 2DPO (you can see in December 2WW) than I do now! Other than really bad insomnia and the hair growing fast on my legs I don't have a lot of symptoms anymore. I know with my boys I was absolutely exhausted and SO hungry all the time, I had to eat heavy, filling food all the time. (No morning sickness). But I don't really remember when it all started, other than for sure by 7 weeks.

From2to3 - I feel like I got super lucky this time around (my 4th!) and had very minimal symptoms! I would get sick to my stomach if I didn't eat regularly, and I was exhausted.. But other than that, everything has been fine! I was soooo sick with my other 3, I was concerned something was wrong! lol but me and baby are fine! (I have a Subchorionic hemorrhage but that has nothing to do with symptoms!) I'm hoping since this one is so easy that means it's a girl... However I know in reality every pregnancy is different and probably doesn't mean anything!

I've changed your due date to the 25 August. Let me know what they decide later on!

No symptoms for me from the beginning. The odd small wave of nausea every once in a while and slightly sore nipples. A bit later on I could sleep for two! Apart from that, nothing. I know it's a little early still but definitely feeling some baby movement especially when I lie down. Difficult time settling and lying on my side as baby had decided toss and turn and stretch right across under my ribs!

Hello ladies. Haven't been online much still feel like crap. Dr. added Zofran a while ago but I don't feel like it helps at all. Luckily I can eat breakfast but that is it. By the time the afternoon comes along I'm super sick for the rest of the day. Been so dizzy & getting migraines also. Have to say I really didn't expect to feel this poorly with my 5th. Trying to keep in my mind the end of the first tri is not far off!

Welcome to all the new ladies. Congrats to all who have heard the gender you desired & hugs to all who have heard opposites. My next apt is Mon & I guess I will find out when my full scan will be. As much as I am in a rush to find out I'm kinda not also. For now at lest there is hope for one more DD. After the ultrasound I guess there will either be pure joy for me or not. Of course healthy is most important & I will be happy with another boy but I'm not in a rush to hear that KWIM. Hope everyone is feeling good!

from2to3, my symptoms have been minimal too. If I keep eating regularly I generally feel fine. Lower energy than usual and sometimes breast soreness. But otherwise normal. I'm trying not to read much into symptoms/lack of symptoms because every pregnancy is different. I feel lucky to be feeling pretty good.

So as I'm getting closer to my gender scan, I've decided to make a list of all the benefits of having my 4th boy and I figured I'd share some!

1. My older two boys entertain each other so well and because of the age gap (they are 10 & 7 and my youngest is 1), it would be nice for DS 3 to have a brother to be close to as well
2. Since DS 3 is so young, the only thing we will need to buy is a car seat since we gave ours away to a friend. That would help us out a lot financially!
3. Boys are my comfort zone! I've already had 3, I'm so used to them and love the bond I have with them!
4. We have a boys name picked out that I love!
5. I won't have to deal with the teenage girl drama that I went through as a teenager! Girls can be brutal!

What are some of your pros to not getting you dream gender?

Hi Ladies! Can I join?
I am 6 weeks pregger's...due 8/25 -- my birthday!
I have been on and off the boards for a few years now trying to have a girl and failing over and over with ht. Tried swaying then gave that up and became pregger's only to find out I had a c-section scar/cervical ectopic at 9 weeks.
It's been a long road...
I bought atomic's personal sway plan in November fully ready to start swaying once af arrived....but it never did! I found out I was pregnant and had only been on the LE diet for 2 weeks! Turns out when I o'd, I had only been on the diet for 2-3 days so clearly that couldn't have been a help.
I just could not believe it, we only dtd once on cd20 so I thought I was safe. Turns out I o'd around cd 21-23. Go figure.
So I pray this baby is pink because there was little to no swaying involved here. To be honest I am kinda scared.
I have however had a u/s already just to make sure everything looked ok so far and thankfully the pregnancy is high in my uterus so that's good.
I;m dreadfully nauseous already and have no energy at all -- I'm just in such a bad mood all the time and can't wait to get through this first trimester.
Been reading some of your stories -- good luck to all ladies!!

I swayed pink with Atomic's help, but at the moment I'm feeling rather pessimistic about the outcome because the Chinese gender chart said boy. That's probably ridiculous... I don't believe in such things. But we'll see. It will be at least a few more weeks. :luck:

Welcome! God bless your heart, sorry for your struggles and losses! It's crazy...I'm 6 weeks as well and could be due on my birthday (Aug 23) too :) The past year and a half I have seen 8.23 everywhere and we've also been back and forth and struggled with the decision to stay at two or go for three. Finally let go and prayed for God's will and only afterwards realized it could be born on this day. Probably just silly coincidence and very unlikely but it gives me a little peace anyways :)

I didn't find this website until about a week before we decided to try, and it was over the Thanksgiving holiday where we had multiple family meals so my sway isn't great either :( I didn't think it would bother me so much, but honestly I've been freaking out a little the past few days. Probably mainly just my crazy dreams, but with my boys my two biggest symptoms were terrible fatigue and unsatisfied hunger! Well...my appetite has picked up the past few days. I'm not quite as tired (though has terrible insomnia like with DS2) but I'm not working this time and it's still early. I know everyone's symptoms can be different and every pregnancy is different...but oh how I long to get a little morning sickness or sore boobs! Everyone of my friends that has kids has at least one girl and they all got some degree of MS. I know this is our last child and I don't want to always have a deep yearning to know what it would be like to have a little girl.

As for Chinese Gender Chart - it was wrong once and right once. Be sure to change your age to your Chinese age when checking, I know some girls that didn't know that.

Anyways...I'm praying for all of us that we get our girls, and whoever wants my blue dust....take it please!!

From 2 to 3, I didn't know that- thanks! With my Chinese age it predicts girl! It's funny, my conscious mind doesn't see any reason to believe the chart emotionally it feels a lot better to see my hoped for gender there.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
from2to3- I am scared too. This is most likely our last baby because I have had a pretty rough road with surgeries and my c-sections that my ob is not psyched about me having #4 but is ok with it. Chances are she'll cut me off after this one though. My head keeps telling me not to kid myself and without swaying, what are the chances of a girl after 3 boys! Of course its a boy. But my heart keep telling me that if there is any higher power out there that life wouldn't be so cruel not to give me a girl after all I've been through to have this baby. Its not like I don't want to have a boy, its the thought of my dream for a daughter never coming true that tortures me. I just don't want to live always desperately wanting something I'll never have, and always wondering what she would have looked like and what kind of relationship we could have had etc. I just can't even think about it cause it only upsets me.
I almost just don't want to know, I'm too scared that hearing "boy" will throw me off into having to face my fear of never having a dd. In the past with my boys, of course I was upset, but I always knew that there would be one more, I would have another chance. But this time is so final - I don't have another chance after this one and I'd finally have to accept never having a dd and I'm not sure how to do that yet. I think its something I would struggle with for a very long time.
I too had a dream the other night. A fortune teller told me I was having a boy and that I would have another baby and that would be a boy too. All boys she said. I was like "Nooooo!" I hope its not a sign.

Not sure I believe in chinese calendar, lets face it -- its 50/50. Wish I could think it was true cause it says girl for me, but I'm not buying stock in it.

My pros are that:
I won't be passing on the curse of my horribly painful, sickening period pains on.
There won't be the horrible bad hair days (I *hated* getting my hair done every morning - so tangled and frizzy and painful to brush). Hoping LO gets daddy's hair.
And yes, the thought of teenage girl hormones makes me twitch...

Welcome Prayforprincess, and good luck!
I swayed pink with Atomic's help, but at the moment I'm feeling rather pessimistic about the outcome because the Chinese gender chart said boy. That's probably ridiculous... I don't believe in such things. But we'll see. It will be at least a few more weeks. :luck:

I don't put much trust in these things. Had a go for fun though and mine came out with boy, too. I honestly think it'll be a boy. DH thinks girl, my 5 year old niece thinks girl and DH's aunt has decreed she thinks it's a girl, therefore it must be a girl. At 15 weeks, there's a fair chance I can find out once and for all, but worried about being told one thing now and and something else after on. Will have to wait for a little longer and see...

my heart rate at 16 weeks was 135, so I think the theory high heart beat isn't true, otherwise mine should of been very high! I heard its a lot later on that it matters too! I had the amnio yesterday, and it was not painful at all. It was so easy and I got to hear the heartbeat afterwards. I been taking it easy now!!

Welcome to the new moms! Prayforprincess I also have 3 boys as many of the other ladies. I also did ht twice with no success and decided to sway. I found out I am having a little girl so it's very possible after ht.
I also think the Chinese chart said boy for me so dont put much stock into that. It's never been right for me.

GT77 - I don't believe the heart rate theory either. Both of my boys' were in the 150-160 range, should have definitely been girls lol! Having said that, I can't wait for my first appointment to finally hear this one's heartbeat <3

I don't go by the Chinese Chart either, and in fact waited until I was good and pregnant to even look at it. Just something to pass the time with this pregnancy...it does say girl though.... :)

PrayforPrincess - I hear ya girl! Let's just pray we get our girls! One thing we have to remember though, is that God has a great plan for our lives and he can see things we can't. He wants what's best for us. However, knowing that and accepting that are two different things! The whole past year or two I have thrown around in my head if we were done having kids, if we were meant to have three kids and that's why our second boy was born - if he was a girl maybe we would have stopped too soon? On and on and on!

Back when we 'thought' we were done having kids I would randomly have a dream I had another baby - and it was always a boy. Now, pregnant, a few nights ago I had a dream I had a boy. The past few nights it has been crazy dreams and usually about trying to find out. Complete restless sleep!

Here's to good reports for all of us in 2014!!!!! And congrats to those that got their good reports....and most of all to healthy babies!!!

So far, this is what I have

intuition - boy
Chinese - boy
heartbeat - 177, girl
ramzi - not sure, but I think girl.
DH- boy
Early BFP - Girl
Biorhythms - girl
bad nausea (more than previous pregnancies) - girl

I have to do a proper Tarot reading but keep avoiding it, don't want to be disappointed.

I heard that the heart theory tends to be more accurate at the beginning of the pregnancy, up to 10 weeks or so, then it slows down, and also the baby could be active (higher hr) or relaxed/sleeping (lower hr).

I could have written this!!!! I had GD with my last son but got over it easily because I knew we would have another one. We have prayed and prayed and prayed some more for this baby. I truly believe if it's a boy, I just wasn't meant to have a girl. However, that doesn't mean I'll be any less upset :( I adore my boys, but knowing I will NEVER have a girl will be hard to deal with! Especially if my SIL has a girl (they have twin boys and plan to have 2 more kids).. My MIL wants a granddaughter so desperately, and if my SIL has a girl, I will forever be the outcast and feel my boys will be treated differently. (My MIL had 3 boys and I believe still has GD to this day...) anyway, I can't wait to find out. Not knowing is driving me crazy. I just want to know and move on with my life (sounds horrible, right?!) I just know at this point it's done and there's nothing I can do about it.. So let's just get on with it lol fx we both get our girls!!!

I wouldn't lose hope! You still have a very good chance..
For myself, YES I give credit to Atomic creating a personalized sway plan for me and I do believe that is the reason why it worked. After reading on here prior to trying, I didn't realize how much of a boy diet I had. I also ate super healthy, vitamins, worked out, etc. So I did make some drastic changes for 2-3months with diet, lifestyle and my dh did as well. I also credit olive leaf helping him out, but it was the combination of everything.
My fingers are crossed tightly for you!! When can you find out?

Hello & welcome to all the new people!

Haven't been on much because of how crappy I felt so I'm just catching up(finally starting to feel a little more normal). I hear you all with the GD & not wanting to know. Had me dr apt mon & they recommended because I'm over 35 to do the maternity21. Part of me is so super anxious to get the results & finally know another part of me is afraid I will hear boy & so I don't want to hear the results at all. Plus my dr said the gender read has been wrong on 1 or 2 patients. Sooooo afraid I will be told girl than go to the ultrasound & find out boy!

Love the list of benefits of another son. Trying to keep all of that in mind also. I keep finding myself getting caught up in this possibly being a girl & than I need to bring myself back to the reality that this is probably a boy. Do not want to get my hopes up. I know things are a bit different for me because I do have a DD but the thought of her not having a sister, of not being able to do the whole girl thing again and esp of not being to name one child after my grandmother just brakes my heart! I truly hope & pray we all get the gender we desire!

On another note I have finally told everyone that we are having another. To my surprise most people have been very nice and happy for us. With my DS2 & DS3 so many people were just mean & said horrible things but this time people have just said congrats! I had myself all worked up afraid of what people would say. Now I do realize that behind my back they are probably saying that I'm nuts but hey at least I don't have to hear it, Ha!!

Hope everyone is feeling good!

snails- I can find out in March. That would be my 16-20 weeks scan.
I've always found out at 12 weeks with all my others. I see a specialist at 12 weeks and they do a good job at guessing what the gender is for me at 12 wks. 95% boy at all my scans and they've been right every time.
I'll b 12 weeks beginning/mid Feb. but I don't think i want to hear any "guesses" that soon. If I'm gonna find out, I want it to be for sure boy or girl so I don't hang onto hope that just maybe they were wrong. So I'll definitely wait til March. I am so scared of hearing boy.

I have to say this pg has begun much differently than all others. For those of you who know its a girl, have you found your girl pg to be different from the boy ones?
Here are my symtoms:
-All symptoms started very early, like 4/5 weeks. In past, nothing began til 6/7.
-Extremely depressed and in such a bad mood all the time.
-no energy at all to do anything, I just don't care about anything. I am usually such an ocd person getting things done, and now I don't even care or have to force myself. I've never felt this way before.
-VERY VERY nauseous!! From the minute I wake til I go to bed. I dont even want to get outta bed. With past pregnancies I was either not nauseous, or would only get nauseous if I skipped meals. This time it doesn't matter if I eat or don't eat, I always feel like crap.
-SOOOOO many food adversions. I don't want to eat anything but fruit and maybe a little plain pasta. To be honest, I have no appetite for anything.
-My boobs are so sore and have already grown a cup size - they have always grown when pg but never this sore.

I just truly have never felt like such junk being pregnant. I almost don't know how I can continue this way. I just want to wake up when its all over.
My mother thinks its a girl cause I feel so terrible -- I am not keeping my hopes up though.
Anyone with a girl feel this terrible?

OMG! Sounds like me lol I was telling DH this morning that I have never, in any pregnancy felt so crappy as I feel now! I'm now 11 weeks and still fell tired, sluggish, nauseous, don't have much appetite (with the boys I was eating like a mad cow!), feel moody (I was so happy with the last one), bloated, I certainly don't have the pregnancy glow at the moment! The nausea comes every single day, 2 or 3 times a day and last for a while, it makes me retch but most of the time nothing happens, I vomited 3 times only, but the nausea is there everyday. This pregnancy is definitely different, but I try not to read too much into it, after all I am 40 and I'm sure all these hormones are much harder on my body now than what they were when I had the boys, even though I was 37 with the last one. But I feel you pain, that's me as well.

There is a huge snow storm here now and I didn't want to drive to my hospital.
Turns out everything is fine. Babies hb is good and my hormone levels are good. They don't know why I was bleeding but it has stopped thankfully.
I did however bleed with all 3 my boys, but having a miscarriage once you just never know.
I did find out that my hcg levels are very high for how far along I am. They are in the 7 week range and I am only 6 weeks. I have heard that with a girl your hcg levels are a bit higher, so I am hoping that is a good sign. Wishful thinking I suppose.

PrayingForPrincess: So glad that everything is ok! That is so scary. I had bleeding (a lot) one morning at about 10 1/5 weeks with my DS1...I thought for sure something was really wrong. That's good about the hormones! Hope that is your lil girl! I can't help ya out about your pregnancy symptoms though :(

I had to laugh about the bad mood! I was in such a bad mood yesterday... I feel so bad for my boys. I had no tolerance for their loudness, naughtiness, etc! Have had a short fuse. I was quite normal emotional-wise with DS1, but I had a short fuse with DS2, that or I was just less tolerate for BS. So this moody thing isn't helping me lean one way or the other.
Yesterday it felt like my shirt was choking me and my gag reflex was a little sensitive while I brushed my teeth so I thought maybe morning sickness might be starting but apparently not. I think it would have started by now if I was going to get morning sickness.
My appetite has increased a little but not to the point of a starved crazy person like with the boys. But that could still be coming. Have moments of energy and then moments of exhaustion/laziness, headaches and overall not feeling good.
My hair, skin, and nails are terrible like with my boys. Hair is falling out but growing fast everywhere, little more shiny than with boys. Skin breaking out. Nails weak and breaking.
Ready for 1st trimester to be over! A part of me doesn't want to find out what it is. However, I would rather know and prepare myself, than to be surprised at delivery with a boy and be disappointed. So I think I might have the lady write it down in an envelope and open it at home. Of course I still have a really long time to think about it ;)

Hi everyone.
It's been a while since I've posted. Very busy with the holidays & now getting back to normal. Haven't had a chance to read up on all the post though.
Quick update on me- the ultrasound that said I was having boy I showed it to my girlfriend & she showed it to her co- worker who's a tech of 20+ years. She said that my scan is to early to determine sex & it's a bad gender picture. The penis doesn't look like a penis or labia & that it's by the baby's feet. But! That's not even my worry right now. I've been having contractions on & off for about a week. Yesterday evening my lower back was in such pain that I was screaming!! I felt like my back was being broken in half. To top it off I get news from the ob nurse that my lab & ultrasound are abnormal {they are telling me it's downs} now I have to go on Monday to talk to a specialist and figure out our options. OMG :(

I'm so sorry to hear you are in such pain. Hope it passes. As to the 'abnormal' or high Downs results, take that with a grain of salt, they scared the hell out of me when I was pregnant with Aidan and all was normal (had an amnio to confirm). I am getting ready for a bad result again, being 40 it's pretty normal to get a high downs result, but remember, it's very unlikely that those results turn out to be accurate, easier said than done as I know how freaked out we get, and I know I will too if I get a positive result again, but we have to try to focus on the positive and not despair unless there is a real reason to. Good luck, I'm thinking of you.

Hi everyone!! I am due June 30 with my second girl. We found out at 10 weeks with the Panorama test. I was told there is a 6% chance it was wrong because sometimes it only picks up mom's DNA at 9-10 weeks. Dh is really hoping we will hear boy at the anatomy scan but I feel that's unlikely. I thought I made peace with it but everyone around me seems to be having boys and it's driving me crazy! I was swaying initially but we experienced secondary infertility and I dropped the sway just to get pregnant! I'm hoping this time was a fluke and the next one will be easier to conceive. Happy to be here!

OMG :(

Oh no! I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I'm really hoping it's a glitch with the test and all is well with the baby.

At 19 weeks it's not too early to tell gender. Most people get theirs 100% confirmed at 16-20 weeks! If they can't tell yet then fine, but they ought to put it to you like that. Wondering if the 'penis' seen was part of the cord covering everything up. I would go for a recheck in a couple of weeks. As for the pain, I would go and get that looked into immediately - from what I can tell a little discomfort while everything stretches is normal, but it shouldn't make you want to scream. Hang in there xx

As far as the other forums maybe pop into the Introductions thread and introduce yourself. If you have any questions from aches and pains to cravings the girls here on the site are great and would be happy to help!

Welcome, Quinn311! I'm sorry you didn't hear boy. I guess it can't hurt to have a rescan and see if anything has changed, especially if there's a margin of error. When is your rescan?

AFM I go for a private scan in an hour. All is fine with baby but is it just me that thinks you very rarely hear 'mummy is fine'? My hospital scan a couple of weeks ago I was in and out in 5 minutes!

Mummy is likely fine, but really don't think I could handle it too well if there's an underlying problem with me resulting in very early delivery or miscarriage (placenta previa, incompetent cervix, etc.) that could have been picked up on and prevented. Just a quick once-over for me. Will be nice to drop in and see bubba again. They've specifically said no gender guessing in this scan (not covered in the price), but I'm going to see if I can ask for a cheeky potty shot and see what I can see!

Hi Quinn,
What's this harmony test? Is it like pinkorblue were they test your blood from your finger & they tell u if it's a boy or girl from that?

At first I thought that the test was a glitch but, there's something also on the ultrasound :( I won't know anything until Monday morning. I'm going to see a specialist. Hopefully, I can be offered an amnio but with all this cramping I'm not sure an amnio will be the smart thing to do right now. I also again had horrible pains in my stomach twice last night were I woke up from a deep sleep. I feel fine now & cuz there's no bleeding I haven't gone to the ER, I'm just waiting it out till Monday morning. The good thing is that the pains seems to come only in the evenings & gone by morning throughout the day I'm fine. Oh!! I also did tell the nurse about my cramps & she said to go in only if I'm bleeding.

It's actually a test they do to check for downs, trisomy, and some other genetic disorders. I guess a "bonus" of the test is you can also learn the gender. It's not a test specifically done for gender and I only had it because I'm high risk. There are a few versions out and some have strict guidelines for getting it. The Panorama doesn't have those.
