Iluv I'm hoping your doc calls and has something good or at least constructive/fixable to do, you know? Do you think you'll hear back tomorrow? Hope so!
June is off to a good start, FX we see lots more of those lovely BFP's this month!

Well boo, I have an ionic hair dryer.
Good thing I don't believe in the ions  'Course if I get knocked up with a girl I'm blaming it all on my hair dryer (and how terrible my hair looks when it air dries) so at least I already know what to kick
I'm so excited about that BFP Jen!!! Please don't leave us though! We'd miss you!
Haha, you know even if mine was ionic I wouldn't be able to give it up either.

I only blow dry my hair on special occasions anyway. Poor DH. :)
I guess if he doesn't call then that's good news, right. :) He's pretty good so I hope he does call me tomorrow or emails me tonight. Maybe it's no big deal and all he'll say all the test results are fine and hey btw, we have a new drug that will work perfectly for you. It gives you healthy twins - 1 boy and 1 girl and they are Guaranteed to be Adorable with a capital A....and they sleep through the night at 4 months too. LOL! I hope it's good news if not, it's a good reminder that no matter how bad things are.....they can always get worse.

Begonia - It wasn't fmu but I had held it for 4 hrs. Yeah I think it's funny that I got my bfp from "what the hell" sex. Don't worry I'm not going anywhere, I just hope to stay here as a supportive spectator not to rejoin to sway.

I am trying to look it up also....lots of my googles have yeilded forum questions about high FSH making you have miscarriages. I have not had my numbers tested, just took that fertility test that came with the hpts, but Iluv's was high, but she did just have a birth like 6 months ago. Let us know if you find anything!
I will read more about this and I will check with Dr too I have an appt. on the 14. Will KUP.

Oh no I am worried I have stuffed it up now?! I did an opk this morning and it looks + too maybe not AS dark as last nights but still quite + none the less?! Do I still have a chance to catch the egg if O has not actually happened yet? Take a look at my chart..
According to your chart maybe you have already ovulated, but it's really hard to tell now. Don't worry just keep your pH high. I wouldn't dtd again.

I'm a little hesitant to go again due to we dtd and hubby released early this morning too and I don't want to risk 0+12.. might just leave it and pray.. if I do O today I still have a chance hey? Would be like an 0-1 or something??
LOL he is a crack up! He says to me last night as I get in to my pjs, "So those are the pjs you wanna get knocked up in then?" HAHA I replied with well I had plans of "getting knocked up NAKED" lmfao!
I think its better to be early than late. You did good and your DH is fo funny, LOL.

June 2nd, 2011, 04:38 AM
I was taking also Folic Acid, Vit E, Green tea extract tablets, fish oil, potassium, b12, zinc, fertileCM then URAL AF-O as well as the Guaifenesin AF-O. I've stopped everything except the FA for now. I would think if I dropped FertileCM and the Green Tea that might help since the rest are just vitamins, right? How much could vitamins hurt?
I really don't know and am kinda Ehh about the whole sway thing right now. Not like a 2 year old fit as much as a depressed what's the point on the sway. :) I've only been doing this for like going into month 4 so I shouldn't be being such a baby but I can't help it. :)
I don't think vitamins can hurt, but we all know the hormone supplement does for 'some' of us. I totally understand how you feel hun, xx hope you get some answers soon.

OMG, congrats Jen!! That's fantastic news, blue team needed this good news
MFC, I've been trying for nearly 1yr 4mnths now
Lola, i would wait on your blood work results before thinking you really have high FSH. I like your plan of healthy eating & yoga
TTC5, i think you've made the right decision to not dtd again i bet you'll be knocked up soon
ELP, where have you been girl?
Tink, if i were you i wouldnt get too caught up with trying to have every aspect of your sway perfect. I'm not saying you shouldnt ask your DH to stop smoking, by all means try & if you succeed good for you but i wouldnt force someone to do something they may not want to do. As long as you've given him all the info about how smoking affects his fertility then you've done your bit. Sorry if my opnion has offended anyone, it's just how i see things

That's what I'm thinking too. Vitamins and Fish Oil only. I'm thinking Fish Oil, B12, FA, & Vit. E and see how it effects my CM. I will still do the URAL AF-O and Mucinex most likely. Might add another boy drink too or go back to lemon water. Not even sure I want to take the zinc. I feel like I need a little break though, just a couple more days. I wish my Dr. would call me to let me know if I might just be struggling to get a BFP either way so I can sort of re-position my thinking.
Would you consider any of the above to be hormone supps? What do you think about green tea. I thought on IG there was a false something in green tea pills that could mess w/ your cycle.
Break will help you feel better :) Your supps look good, none of the above to be hormones supps. I never took green tea, but I've heard it can mess with your cycle. Personally I don't take it, because I've heard it can dry you up.

Bec - yay for that! I bought a new ion dryer before my sway last year after my old one died and then found out after months that I should't use it.
I'm feeling good, kinda scared, but good. I won't see my midwife till I'm 10wks so mid July. I've been a bit icky the last few days so I guess that makes sense now lol

YAY TTC5! So excited for you and your attempt! LOL to the DH asking if you felt anything.... they are so in the dark about this stuff! Cheekymoo will you try tonight?
AF started early this am so that's good. I'm going to call my doc later today to see if they think there is any reason to be concerned about my spotting pre-AF these days. It drives me crazy. And I'm not taking any of the hormonal supps ... this cycle all I've done is folic and prenatal.
No Begonia Not trying this month :) - next month is the big try!
HEY Do any of you ladies believe in the Chinese gender calendar?
It has been right for my 1st 2 girls and it says june is girl july is boy and I am due to ovualte 30 june/ 1july I keep having random thoughts of not trying if it's 30 june I ovulate - someone please slap me or pour some cold water on me or something......thats Crazy - right??

TTC5 your timing sounds spot on! I am so excited for you!
Babydes how many DPO are you know? 7 or 8? FX that you get a June BFP too!
Cheekymoo, Chinese calendar hasn't been right for me so it's easy for me to say this, but I wouldn't place my TTC plans on it at all! I think it is fun, and if it lined up saying boy I'd for sure be thinking it was a happy coincidence, but if it said girl I'd try anyway. But do what feels right to you! I actually haven't checked it for me this month. I wonder what it says ....
MFC what are you thinking these days? Still just taking a big ol' break? I'm glad you're still hanging out with us :-)
Iluv any word from the doc? I'm with you, no news is good news on this kind of thing! If you don't hear from him I would totally assume he isn't worried at all. And by the way, whenever I see frapp posters I always think of you, LOL!
Bec I forget, when is your attempt? Are you trying soon or a few months out?
This morning I was thinking I'm crazy to go for 3. I'm super happy with my family now and just don't want to somehow mess up the balance ... I am sure many of you can identify which is why I'm putting it out there. I remember feeling this way about TTC#2 as well, just worrying about still having enough time to spend with DD1, praying for the miracle of another healthy baby, etc.
AND I was at the grocery store last night longingly looking at the bottles of wine, and thinking do I really want to give up that for another nine months, LOL?!?! Not that I even drink every day, but sometimes a glass of wine is just what I need to unwind, KWIM?

Iluv - I started diet and sups May of last year conceived in July and m/c in Oct restarted diet and sups in late Nov and made our first attempt in Jan. So we've been at this for 5 months or a year depending on how you look at it. Fx for some good news for you soon!
MFC - I'm pretty sure I'm confused on which ion does what but remember being yelled at on IG for my ion dryer.
TTC5 - great timing, fx you nailed it!

OK, I spoke with my OB/GYN this morning. He said everything looks normal except for low iron. That is normal for me kinda though. Is it OK to take iron when ttc boy? My OB and I both emailed my primary Dr. regarding my elevated Thyroid levles to see if it needs to be addressed. Not sure if that would effect my cycles at all either way.
I kept trying to bring him back to the FSH levels that seemed high but he didn't seem to be concerned. I kept trying to bring him back to it but he wouldn't work w/ me. :) I wish he had re-looked at it for me while on the phone but I like that news better than, yes, it's high and you are infertile. I did read online that it can be different measurements depending on the lab, but not sure. I asked him if he really thought my cycle could be this off close to 6 months after giving birth and he said he wasn't sure. I've nursed all my kids for 19 months + so I have no idea what my cycles should look like. He said to contact him if still trying for 6 months then we'll look at some pills.
I guess for now we just keep trying. I think I'll be in Yosemite camping when I'm due to O this month, of coarse! Hopefully it will work out though. I've told you about my concerns with timing and my girl births but I'll just keep going and keep praying.

FWIW Flava with the strong sway you had last time I can totally get your perspective. All I can offer is what Atomic always says ... if we never get pregnant, we'll never get the dream gender. Iluv, good news on your results. Abnormal thyroid levels can definitely affect your cycle. Do you know if it was the TSH that was abnormal or T3/T4? I have my thyroid levels checked all the time as they are borderline.

Bec we were planning to wait until fall, mostly DH wanted to wait. But when I mentioned I thought it would be fun to try this month (I should O right around my birthday) and he jumped on board. Weirdo  Being on here months before TTC definitely makes you baby crazy IMO ... I started on IG in September 2010. TTC5 your timing sounds spot on! I am so excited for you!

Trying to see how my cycle will go this time. I'm not taking any hormonal supp's, but I am not ttc, I would like to see my Dr first.
I also remember I was feeling like this about ttc#3 and right now I feel the same way, REALLY. Hoping and praying for just one more to complete our family.

Bec the great thing about getting in early IMO is you figure out what works for you and what doesn't. But I have belly fat which I usually never ever have, so I know some of my 5-7lb gain is just plain ol' chub.

Fasting doesn't affect TSH levels are far as I know. So that means that your thyroid is under active as TSH levels rise when the thyroid gland isn't producing enough T3 and/or T4. You really need to get the other levels checked as well to know the full story. Sorry if you already know this!

This is what I did! DH had been taking fish oil anyway, and our derm actually rec'd that I start taking it as well for my skin. The one thing that has really worked for me (CM wise) has been the Evening Primrose Oil. But that is one that messes with some people and helps others, so the only way to know for sure is to try it. You just have to figure out what you're comfortable with though!

So a BFN for me this month again :(
I think i am done with all this swaying and trying to conceive. It has never taken me this long with any of my other pregnancies and it has really become all consuming. It is all I think about. what food can I eat, when am I ovulating, when did he release last, etc. I think for me I am done swaying and will let whatever happen happen.
Hope everyone else is doing okay.
Iluv. hope u get all your answers soon!
Oh hugs Princess, I'm so sorry to hear the BFN. Maybe taking the pressure off by removing the swaying/constant thoughts of TTC will do the trick. Hope you stick around and keep us posted.

TTC5 that is CRAZY! I hope it is a good sign! Did you ever feel anything like that with any of your other pregnancies? Oooo and so fun that Cheeky felt that when she was pg! FX for this being a good sign :-)
Iluv I'm glad your doc wants to at least re-run the test. At least that means he thought about it enough to decide he wanted more info! So since you just had AF are y'all going to be trying again soon? Or are you waiting to figure out what is going on?
Flava I LOL about the mostly fighting ... my girls are at it this am, which is funny b/c they normally get along super well. I think it is time to get them out of the house. Oh, hun, I am so sorry. I TOTALLY know how you feel. Trying consumes me also, and the longer it goes on, the more crazy it makes you, not to mention affects your marriage and all. Just believe like I do that you will have a healthy baby someday soon, and he/she will come just when you least expect it, of course. XOXO

Iluv, that is good news then....I bet he thinks your FSH is normal for having had a baby recently. I have been doing lots of reading about it the past couple of days (inlcuding this AWESOME book "Inconceivable" by Julia Indichova that all us long-timers should read....anyone, really, it was fantastic)...and it appears that all sorts of things can influence your FSH levels, as the woman in this book's go up and down each month. So, I am not really stressing about it either, and if you doctor did not make it a point to say anything about it, then you are probably just fine. And adding some iron is really easy to do, especially with food. My sister is aememic and eats a ton of spinach and apricots and the like to keep hers level.
I talked with my doctor yesterday also, my kick ass gyno (who doesn't do OB, so she didn't know I had the m/c as I had to go to the midwives at another practice once I got pg).....she is going to have me do a blood FSH for real test this next cycle, but she seems to think that we have just had crap luck and my eggs aren't necessarily bad. I told her we were loading up on antioxidants and I started up with yoga again and all, and she said that is perfect...the healthier your body, the healthier your eggs. But, we are still a go for ttc in August and she MAY start me on Clomid that month, just depends on the FSH numbers and her eval when I go see her in a few weeks.
So, I am now a proponent of being super healthy.....DH quit smoking last week and is doing great with it, and we are both on a big health kick for the next few months, just to see how it affects us (which will no doubt be positively, but if it yeilds a healthy pregnancy). Begonia - when you see your dermatologist make sure you tell him you're ttc, many rx acne meds can cause birth defects.
MFC - I'm with everyone else, it doesn't matter that you have a boy just matters that you want another one :)
Bec - I don't care how much info you have or how prepared you feel, you'll still freak out a little before your first attempt lol I would start the sups one at a time to figure out what works best. I ran out of a few sups at various points and found out that I didn't need them at all. I get great cm from just diet and fish oil which isn't increased with the guaifenesin, and the robitussin gave me massive head congestion after stopping. A little trial and error is a good thing.
Chunksta - woohoo for 9 wks and doing great! You should visit us more often :)
Iluv - here's hoping for good news on your thyroid test, and ita 24 weeks is too long at this point I'm sure any answer is better then no answer.
ttc5 - too weird, I hate how ttc makes you notice everything you would normally just blow off. FX for a bfp!
Princess - keep your chin up darlin', big big hug.
Lola - Big big kudos to dh for quitting, that is some serious devotion. I love your mega healthy plan and must admit the loads of healthy foods has made me feel awesome. Here's hoping my little bean finds the environment nutritious enough.
Well ladies, I still don't feel preg yet. It's only cd29 so I think I'll need to be much much later before I stop visiting my test every few hours. Here's hoping it doesn't take till the first heartbeat for it to finally set in lol I'm crazy hungry and thirsty and have learned my previously adored morning cup of coffee is no longer my friend. Apparently I'm a bit of a space heater too lol Last night dh said he was to lazy to close the window so he cuddled up next to me for warmth while I slept just fine. Other then that it's pretty smooth sailing but the fun doesn't usually start this early so I guess we'll see

Hi ladies. How is everyone I'm playing catch up! My DD and I had a big day yesterday, plus I was in my salon for a bit doing some makeup on some brides to be! I didn't get to play online at all yesterday, had to come home cook dinner and go work out!
Now I have to go back about 7 pages!
I feel so crampy today and I don't know why, AF WAS 8 DAYS AGO, I would be shocked if I ovulated this early. I do have a history of ovulating early...but that would be a little ridiculous. Plus we tested last night, as I am every 25 days and it was neg.

How fun to do bridal makeup Tink! Unless the bride is crazy I bet it's fun to see them all excited and happy! I've ovulated as early as day 10 before but never earlier. I would love to O early this month but have a feeling I'll be on track.
Jen I remember with DD1 I had crazy bad m/s, and with DD2 I didn't have ANY and was worried the entire 1st trimester that something was wrong because I didn't "feel" pregnant. I took at least a pg test a week to re-confirm until I saw my doc for the 1st appt, LOL! Thanks for the heads up on acne meds! He's kind of a funky holistic type of guy and has never given me a prescription for my pimples, but just done things like tell me to include fish oil, and quit eating so much %$#@ sugar! I go to him more for my crazy moles than my zits.
Lola I'm glad you got to talk with your awesome gyn! I love your health kick plan. There can't be anything better for TTC than just plain ol' being healthy. Have you tried the amazing grass for kids? My girls like the chocolate in smoothies. I have to say we're all eating better with this sway influence since I pretty much cut out the processed stuff for all of us.
Good to see you Chunksta!!! Thanks for popping in! Glad you're doing well :-)

Tink, have you been taking opks? I have Oed earlier on these supps. You never know what your body will do. And bridal makeup IS fun with good people....with crazy bridezillas and bitchy BMs it is a nightmare. I used to be an account exec for Stila when I graduated from college before I landed my arts admin career. It was a blast, and I got trained by their NYC artists so I still do makeup on location for magazines and brides, for the right price, of course! What line do you work for?
Jen, it will kick in....I completely know how you feel, though. If I ever get pg again, I will be a NERVOUS wreck and convince myself that I am not actually pg until I see a heartbeat, and well, maybe till I see a live baby in front of me. Man, I just hate that so many of us here have had to deal with m/cs and deaths of babies, it is just heartwrenching. BUT I am a positive day so I am putting my faith in hopes that we all have a sweet healthy baby someday. There is nothing right now that says that this isn't and can't be your dc#4, so keep your spirits up. (You'll have to tell me that too one day.) And don't you hate the coffee aversion? I had that this last time, it made me SO bummed, because that's like my morning ritual thing. Oh well, on to healthy preggo smoothies for you, girl!

Begonia- that's awesome that he's holistic. I'm a hippy at heart, meds are always my last stop. I've had 2 pre-cancerous moles removed so I'm all about keeping track of them. I kinda like m/s it lets you know everything is ok lol dd#3 I had none and if it hadn't been for the very early and quickly growing belly I would have been panicked.
Lola - I'm hoping reality will set it in the next week or so. I show really early, I usually can't button my pants past about 8wks so I'm hoping it'll kick in by then instead of me just feeling extra chunky. I really miss the bliss of my first pregnancy, I'd never m/c so I only had a normal amount of fear. I'm positive we'll both get our little ones :)
Well, I don't know if it's my tiny friend or that I've gotten used to eating all the time but I'm starving 24/7. I cannot seem to keep myself satisfied for more then an hour. I remember being a little extra hungry in my first tri with dd#3 but this is ridiculous.

How cool is that? I free lance for Mac. Not a whole lots since having my DD. They are super strict. Plus my 2 brothers, husband and I own a silk screening business and I stay really busy with that. So I am only in my salon a couple days a week. I really don't like doing weddings. Like you says Physco's!! LOL. I do a lot of fashion and stuff, I just did a fashion show a few weekends ago, it was a vintage fashion show with old bikes, it was awesome! That is more my scene!
I haven't really started any supplements yet. I am still figuring all the supplements out and what I think will be best for me. I feel like i am running out of time to TTC in Sept and getting this all down!

Fasting doesn't affect TSH levels are far as I know. So that means that your thyroid is under active as TSH levels rise when the thyroid gland isn't producing enough T3 and/or T4. You really need to get the other levels checked as well to know the full story. Sorry if you already know this!
No I don't at all actually so for sure thanks for the info. According to Kaiser "An underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) can cause symptoms such as weight gain, tiredness, dry skin, constipation, a feeling of being too cold, or frequent menstrual periods." I guess that might make sense. I'm not sure about the fasting though, Kaiser doesn't say there is a need for it either. I'm not sure why my primary Dr. would recommend that I fast.
What else do you think they should test? I had a CBC w/o differential, FSH, TSH, Prolactin and LH done as well.
Thanks Bec!

I would say it depends on the diet and supps you're doing ... this might actually be a good Q to put out there for Atomic to see. I know that was the deal on IG, but the IG diet and supp schedule is pretty extreme. If you take the TW approach and are focusing on high nutrients, not excluding ca/mg, and not overdoing it on sodium/potassium, I think you're fine to stay on the "diet." Because really all you're doing with TW is trying to focus on eating a healthy, well-rounded diet. It may not be what you prefer naturally (oh how I miss sugar!!!) but it isn't in any way unhealthy.
But if you're cutting ca/mg and taking BSD and things like that, then I would think you'd need to take time off the diet after 6 months for sure.

I have no idea why your doctor would want you to fast. Maybe just clarify that? You should also get T3 and T4 levels checked (these are the thryoid hormones). If you aren't producing enough T3/T4 (so levels will be low) the body will compensate by releasing more TSH. And sometimes this can return T3/T4 levels to normal. So you could have normal T3/T4 levels and abnormal TSH levels due to compensation. Does this make sense? It is a little confusing. If T3/T4 levels and TSH levels are all abnormal then usually thyroid meds will be needed to get the thyroid function back on track.
I hope I haven't confused you!

There's no need to take a break from the diet or many of the sups. Definitely be careful with the drinks or anything that can mess with your stomach or overall health. Personally I won't take anything that would hurt you long term, but I learned that the hard way.
And about three girls, I learned about swaying after the gd of my third girl. I was unintentionally swaying perfectly for a girl. If you do a good sway you just sort of have to accept you did your best. This is my second bfp while swaying and I've had the same peace both times.

I'm glad you saw your Dr. and that you have some hope. I just spoke w/ a lady from my church who was married at 27, tried for 2 years w/ no luck getting prego and then lost 2 1st trimester babies. I think she then lost 2 18ish week pregnancies, that were in between her successful births. She had now 4 healthy children but was 40 when she had her last. Her Dr. told her that 4 m/c were abnormal and to stop trying but she went on to have healthy baby #4. I thought it was a tragic but encouraging story and some hope too. GL girl!
Congrats on DH. My husband is such a crabby jerk when he quits I'm nervous for him to try again. You sound so great and full of hope, Lola. I'm so glad to hear it and the new found energy to get healthy. Yoga is great and I miss doing it too. So happy for you girl.

I missed this post. God 1 yrs 4 months now, Hope you get your BFP this month hun, you so deserve it. It's been along time for me too.

Though I would seriously question the sanity of someone going for their 48th child. That's a whole lotta car seats. Thanks B, xx Your posts always make me laugh, LMAO @ the 48th child.

When we TTC I am going to cut back on Ca and Mg but not totally exclude them. Will be primarily focusing on the TW theory. Ohh I love sugar too so I won't be cutting back on that for a while yet :)

I won't be doing any of the drinks until about 3 months before our attempt, so not for a little while yet. I think if I stick to the RDI of vitamins and minerals then I will be right.
That's great that you have had peace with both your sways. It must be a good feeling!

So so sorry to read this ((Hugs)) it's not over until AF shows her ugly face! don't give up hope yet it could just be to early.

I'm having an "amazing grass" smoothie everyday (wheat, barley, and alfalfa grasses) and loads of antioxidants, and have started with the DHEA again. I'll have a good 80 days in before ttc, and just gonna see what happens.
Good luck, chicas.....I'm so very happy for 3PNB and Chunksta, and hoping to add some preggies to the list to congrats soon!
Glad to hear the good news about your hubby not smoking, Good job! I love your plan, hoping you get a healthy BFP in August. Good luck with everything.

We're going for donuts b/c in case everyone didn't know ... it's National Donut Day! Whooo hooo! Do you think they make a donut made out of potato with a nice tomato sauce instead of frosting? Mmmm. The boy sway special ;-)
Nope, never!! It was VERY distinct as my body would kind of "jerk/twitch" every time it "jabbed" at me lol...

What a great attitude Lola! Love it.

If you are still on low on the CBEFM I would tell DH to release now. But sometimes ppl go from low to peak so I don't know yours. Also you have the same temp for 4 days what kind of thermometer you use? You need a basal digital like this (http://www.allheart.com/ma15639.html?campaign=csegoogle&CAWELAID=851467902&cagpspn=pla&gclid=COTHpayenKkCFdI32god23UktA) to have accurate temps.

Hey ladies, I got a BFN yesterday morning and I'm on CD 28. My temp hasn't gone up; in fact, it started the pre-AF decline, so I have a couple questions if you don't mind. First, how do you know if you did in fact O? My temp was at the O low for 6 days (instead of 1) and my OPK never showed a +, only an 'almost' as in it wasn't quite as dark as the control line. We have never had any problems conceiving, so I think the supps really messed me up. I'm thinking about stopping the supps and just taking a prenatal vitamin with DHA that has only 150mg of Calcium in it, as well as doing the diet, preseed, position, propped hips, and timing (we tried last time but my cycle was really off of normal). What are your thoughts?

Oh wow this has me wondering now ; I wonder what it is exactly if it is preg related?

TTC!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FELT DURING IMPLANTATION!!! FXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!! I knew I was pregnant!! It was a few days after we DTD and conceived our DD, my doc said it was the implantation, she said women can feel it.!!
I was only like 2dpo though too early for that and no implantation dip either?? Maybe it is something to do with the cell dividing or moving down the tubes?!!!

I am so sorry about your BFN ..but if you temps hasn't gone up plus started the pre-AF decline then I don't think you have ovulated yet. Can you post your chart? You can tell you've ovulated after your temps have risen and stay high. Temps tend to stay high during the luteal phase until AF.
What supplements are you taking? Some supp's can mess with your cycle.

I had purchased the in vitro OPK's and used those this month. After it was an 'almost' positive, I was testing every couple hours and never got a positive. I was taking B6, lots of FA, Zinc, Fish Oil, lemon water, bsd with green tea and the boy diet.

Do you think it could have been the green tea? When I say it was an 'almost' +, it means the line was never quite as dark as the control. One side of the test line would be as dark, and the other side of the test line would be much lighter. I know it sounds strange, but it's all I would get!

hopeful the as dark on one side of the line - I take that as a positive with mine!! I actually read up on them and also realised this was the case with the ones I use- I have NEVER got a line the same darkness as the control the whole thickness- the most I tend to get is about half thickness as dark-mabye yours are the same?

Tink, I get the opk strips from early preg tests.com, but I order a ton so they are cheap. And love the fertility bracelet! You are attempting this month, right?
Hopeful, I am not sure what to make of your situation.....in my opinion, if you don't get a definite positive, you didn't O. I think your body can get darn near close with the estrogen, which in turn causes the LH to rise, but unless it gets to a certain high level, it is not a true "surge" and won't trigger ovulation. It may indeed be that the supps are causing a little havoc, but it may also be that you did indeed ovulate and like 3PNB, your tests just don't get super dark. Mine do, so I know that if they are *close* to the line color, then they are not quite positive yet. I would just keep on and wait for AF (or poas) and maybe drop a few supps or something. Also, are you sure you are testing with opks properly? That can do it also. And I will say, I don't think the diluted urine makes a difference. You MUST not pee for 4 hours, and whether or not you drink a gallon of water in that 4 hours and have a bladder that is about to burst, you will still get an accurate test, but you need 4 hours for the LH to accumulate in your urine for an accurate reading. My first month with opks and ttc (um, last August, ugh!), I was at a music festival in Chicago and was drinking tons of water as I was in the sun all day (and didn't want to tempt myself with beer). I kept getting negative tests, through CD13,14,15. I thought I was because I was drinking so much water. Turns out, I was just peeing too much in between testing, because on CD16 I did get a very positive test, and I was drinking the same amount of water, just holding the pee so it was in there for 4 hours. I hope that makes sense! It is kinda like the same thing with pg tests....why you use FMU when you are poas early.
Babydes......I am dying for you, I cannot tell you how much I am praying this is your month, girl!!!

I am taking the DHEA again, 75mg daily this time. I started it on June 1, along with all sorts of other antioxidants, so we'll see what happens. I am going to see my dr at the beginning of July, and she MAY put me on Clomid for Aug, not sure yet, but if she thinks I should, I trust her.

Sorry i didnt get back to you about if i have to pay for my fertility treatments, the answer is no but if i have ivf then i will have to because i have 2 children already. Well, when I was pg both times, I felt AFish. Don't let it get you down. I have cramps and feel like crap either way. I'm CD11 today, so just tracking w opks to see when I ovulate on the DHEA this month, but no attempts. I'll have the hormone levels tested on CD3 next cycle at the end of this month. I'm going to have them test my DHEA levels (even though I am taking it) just to see what it is....maybe it will be a normal level with me supplementing, and if its high, then I will cut back on my DHEA. I don't feel bad, though, but do have a higher sex drive and am more awake first thing in the morning.
We are both also taking 100mg CoQ10, Pynogenol, Astaxanthin (which is red oil from krill, some new hot antiox that the health food store lady swore by, it's not too expensive and is little red oil pills), an antiox mix, like a muti-antiox, that has a zillion things in it, which was more expensive. Also, we are going fish and flaxseed oils, and DH is taking pumpkin seed oil and I'm doing EPO. Both taking Vit D. I'm also doing royal jelly and bee pollen in the morning with my prenatal. DH is taking my prenatal also, actually. We both take 25mg zinc also. He is also doing LArg, but not me. We're gonna do this until the AF-O of the attempt cycle in August, and I will add in gelatin and ASG and maybe a potassium pill, maybe a few mild other things. I have been just eating healthy for now, trying to lose a few pounds, but I will add back in lots of healthier boy diet stuff once July comes, like more bananas and tomatoes and some salt.
I will have to pay for Clomid, but only like $8 US per prescription with my insurance. So, they only let you do IVF on the gov't dime if you have no children yet? Interesting. That sort of doesn't seem fair. Has your DH done an SA yet? I think IUI sways boy, they put the sperm right up there by your egg right after they trigger your O. I'd give that a shot for sure.
My girlfriend was telling me yesterday that her sister did IVF (had B/G but no pgd, incidently), because she and her Dh tried for 2 years and no luck....all tests came back ok, but it was his sperm, which they finally figured out was unable to penetrate the egg for some reason, so IVF was the only way. And then, of course, she got pg naturally a year after the twins were born.
We are getting our tests done this week, which is good! I am doing the blood clot tests and DH's SA.

I would never recommend FertileCM to anyone. It had the opposite effect on me and many others I know. Also, I would not take the greent tea capsules either, just have a cup a day if you want. I don't know, all of the supps like LArg and whatnot that effect your hormone levels freak me out. Of course, except for me on the DHEA, which is pure hormones....but I think what is MUCH smarter when you start experimenting with supps (and this is only if you have several months before your attempt to experiment, which is a good thing!), is to take a few then add some more if the few basic ones are working. AND of course the younger you are, the more likely it is that they won't turn your ovaries into crackheads and prevent you from getting pg for so long.
Iluv, I think I read that you are dropping most supps, which I do agree with. I only take ones that are for overall health of eggs now.

Thanks so much Iluv. I am so sad right now. We have been trying since March 2010 and have had two losses in there. It is heartbreaking. My DDs were conceived easily and i never thought it would take this long. I am only doing diet and takig FA. I have never taken the other supps, just something I am not comfortable with. You would think it
would be easier to conceive when u are tracking ovulation, which I never did before!
How r u doing? any news?
When are you going to attempt?
fx for both of us!
I totally agree w/ you that you'd think you'd be right on it. I mean how much should your diet and timing BD and O make it harder? I wonder if it's the mental stress. IDK! I feel like I wasted a few months just being on supps that didn't work for me. I'm doing some supps now and diet kinda trying to limit but not completely go off of calcium but I try to do only full fat dairy when I do. I just eat all the time so I'm feeling very boy enviroment as far as a hearty/we are in plentiful times so the boy should step up. I really don't know anymore. :) It's discouraging though for sure! I have no idea when I'll be O this month but might very well be out of town so we will see. Totally FX!

My OPK's can sometimes have a lighter test line than the control but the digital would always be negative, so I'm not sure. I used to get no line at all if I wasn't O, but now I'm noticing I'll get the lighter line on test than control during different times of the day, I'm assuming due to just how much I drink. It's hard to know but I use the digital smiley OPK's to confirm if I'm in doubt.
I'm so glad you are attempting this month. GL momma! I'll be prayin for ya

Yup no more hormone messing supps for me, and like I said CM is so much better and I even took O test today and yesterday since CM is so good but negative. DH and I are out of town a lot this month so we'll be DTD before we leave and after just to try and cover bases but I really have no idea what my cycles will be like this month now. I'm afraid we'll miss O this cycle but I'm not going to stress if I can help it.
GL on the testing. I better sex drive and more energy in the a.m., sign me up for DHEA too. ) Krill Oil is a big thing right now, recommended in replace of Cod live oil a lot but I haven't heard of them taking just the red stuff from them for antioxidants. Hmmmmm.
I'll try to get in for my thyroid test tomorrow morning but I won't be online much Tuesday night - Friday since I'll be out w/ my 2 girl friends and all the kids at DF1's lake house. I love having giving friends w/ money. :) Too bad the weather is so wacky here in CA.

My weekend was cool. My sister left on Saturday night and DH had a talk w/ my MIL to clear some of the sh*# that hit the fan this weekend w/ that mess w/ my SIL I was dealing with. It's all just a big mess but I'm seeing a little bit of sunlight peering through the Sh*# storm this has been. I feel like i'm talking in code. :)

Hi ladies! So much to catch up on, our thread moves fast these days. Had a crap weekend and am glad we are attempting next week not this week, b/c if I was due to O right now DH and I would both be like, H-NO we don't want to get pg, LOL. Anyhow one of the crap things is my DD2 is sick again ... poor kiddo picks up every virus around I swear.
Hope.ful I'm so sorry to hear about the BFN! I am with Lola on the OPK, where I know mine get CLEARLY positive. But it sounds like Jen has had some like you describe, so maybe that is just how a + looks for you?
Sunnye how long have you been taking all of those supps? B/c ITA that the combo you're taking could definitely change your cycle. Just wondering if you were taking them last cycle and noticed anything different then.
Jen your ticker is so fun to watch :-)
TTC5 when will you test? You're 5DPO know right?
Babydes how about you? You must be getting close to knowing. I really, really hope this is your month!!!
Tink do you have a usual date you ovulate? With a 25 day cycle I think the advice you got to test CD8 is perfect. I usually start then too, b/c I have O'd as early as day 10 twice now, but it is much more standard for me to O CD14.
Well AF is over for me so now I'm just waiting for signs of O! Last month was CD10 but I really think this month will be closer to CD14, and I'm CD6 now. I've already decided I'm not going to stress about timing. We aren't going to DTD every day or anything but I'm totally fine with it if we end up DTD every other day from now to O. We shall see how it works out though; I'd be happy if our timing naturally coincided with a +OPK and abstinence but I'm not trying too hard to force it.
Yep 5dpo today :) Waiting for my tests to come in the mail!

baby - Boo for crappy faux friends. I'm still pretty good thanks, I'm starting to feel pregnant but my mind is still not really around it. Food things are starting and there are consequences if I don't listen. I end up choking a lot of things down or avoiding food all together. All I want is meat, cheese, avocados and eggs so if you agree with that owt I'm definitely cooking a boy lol
Lola - I'm in love with you're plan and attitude. I'm still on fb, Jen Blanco Eschler come find me
Is it just me or do you quietly hate people with b/g twins. They will never know the harassment, lucky devils.
Hope.ful - sorry about af, I hate that b*tch. On to next month
iluv - woohoo for improving cm!! I blame l-arg for my previously lame mucous as well. Good luck with your test tomorrow and have fun at the lake house, you really deserve it.

Hi ladies, hope you all had a fab weekend. I didnt, had a fall out with someone i thought was friend but turned out they were just using me the whole time, ah well we live & learn. Lola, Begonia thanks for all the luck but i'm not hopeful. I'm 10dpo so should be testing by thurs.
Begoina, great to see you'll be making your attempt soon
TTC5, have you had any more symptoms besides the sharp pain in both your ovaries?
Lola, how's it going with the dieting? Have you started the DHEA or are you not bothering with it
Jen, How you feeling? Do you feel preg yet?
Sorry if i've forgotten some people i'm just trying to catch up
Oh sorry to hear you had a bad weekend =(
Well last night I had cramping again closer to the RHS? And the hunger... although now this morning have woken and am NOT hungry so maybe it is progesterone :( Had a little dip in temp today so really think it is just from that damn!

I got a faint line today which makes me Cd11, I have tested 3 times today and they have all been faint but all pink enough to where even my husband have thrown the flag up and said "um im going to say yes" So since this is my very fist time doing this, should tomorrow get an even more clear line? or how does this work? I never did ovulation strips before with our DD. I just figure from my last period, I took a shot in the dark and said, hmm I might be ovulating and hell I was! Plus I feel extremely crampy today. This is all new for me.
Still keepping FX for all the 2ww, and those going for it this month! xoox

OK, CM is looking pretty EW to me and is pretty abundant. I've taken O test yesterday and today but no positive. I just did the math and I guess if I go off of the last day of this last untimely AF I'm on CD13 today. I guess I shouldn't have DTD last night for any cutoff stuff. Oh well, I'll keep testing. Man, I guess I should order another pack of O tests. The last time I see him for the week is tonight. Ouch! :) Hope to get a positive tonight so we can DTD in the a.m. maybe or my body might just be messing w/ me again. I'll let you know if I get a positive but will DTD in the morning either way since it's our only shot for the rest of the week just in case.
If I do get a + opk, that would suck cuz if I just went to sleep last night when I wanted to we'd be perfect on a 4 day cut off i think. Oh well!

You might want to get a digital smiley OPK to confirm and that way you'll know better than judging lines. For me, a lot can mess w/ me not O but getting faint test lines.

So, with getting a faint pink line, now. It would be good to do BD now and then maybe when I get a really good strong pink line? Say if we TTC? Isn't is good to TTC for boy before O and day of O?

Tink - Everyone fades in differently, I can get my first faint 4 days before I actually O. Like temping, opk's are one of those things that can take a few months to figure out your personal pattern.

LMAO!!! We have good friends with a pair ... I remember talking to the DH before they found out and he was like "I hope we get one of each" and I didn't say it but I was like, "yeah, right ... the odds of that ..." and then they did. At least I love them enough to be happy for them :-)

Tink I totally second Iluv rec'd the smiley digitals for when you *think* it is a +OPK but aren't sure. They are cheapest on Amazon.com for me. I used them exclusively for the 1st 2 months when I was trying to figure out my pattern ... you can pop the stick out after you read neg/pos and see the fade-in pattern so it is like best of both.
Iluv thank you thank you for the link to the syrup! DD2 is a poor eater and I really think that is a huge part of her inability to fight off a bug ... DD1 eats everything, the kid ate a red pepper like an apple for breakfast this am, and I can't tell you the last time she was sick. I keep waiting for DD2 to start eating but so far she is really just into milk! I hope you have a marvelously wonderful time at the lake! AND I hope you get the +OPK so you can get in a nice little attempt!! How exciting that your CM is getting good! And how weird is it to be excited for another woman's cm. So weird.
Jen that is crazy that your food things are already popping up! But great .. it's totally a reminder that you're pregnant and it's FOR REAL! Yay :-)
Babydes I'm not losing hope ... FX for you!
Lola I saw Krill oil today when I was picking up BYF and was wondering about it. FX your antiox supps do the trick for you! I think you said DH does his SA this week; how long do results take on that?

Hi! Have to say I have been more of a lurker than a joiner, but I'd like to participate in this group! Better late than never :)
1st attempt swaying in about 6 hours (who's counting???).

♥ Swaying Status: Swaying NOW!
♥ TTC DC 4
♥ Your approach to blue sway: Diet (red meat, potatoes, tomato, v8, high potassium foods like banana and dried apricots, alkaline foods, salty food and cut out dairy and most sugar - too hard on that one not to cheat here and there), tons of lemon water, green tea. Supps (folic, epo, fish oil, l arg), mucinex plain af to o, 3 packet knox blocks recipe daily (Jen's recipe with the blueberry pom - yum). Added weights to workout. DH supps (fish oil, B12, l arg, folic, zinc), baking soda drink for both. DH switched to boxers. BSF, and plan to use davidson's egg white (tested one today at 9.5).

Tink - Ah I misunderstood:sigh:, I though you asking if you should actually dtd tonight. Keep tracking it all and you'll have it down by then no problem:wink: Don't apologize and please keep asking questions, we all know how confusing it all is.
Begonia - see now I don't have any close friends with twins so I feel I can hate them on principle
Yeah all the sudden food has become offensive. One of our favorite dinners tasted literally rotten tonight. I just sat at the table telling the kids "oh my gosh I'm so full". We have it every week, this is going to be tough lol
I agree it's super weird to be excited about a strangers cm, boy we swayers are an odd bunch
TTC5 - as soon as they showed up huh, we are so alike lol
