Spicy that is a great question, and I agree with Bec ... I think it is the high sodium/potassium aspect more than the dairy. I haven't bothered tracking magnesium because it really is in everything, from vegetables to fruits to cereals. What I focused on more was my ratios ... so trying to really up my sod/pot relative to my dairy/mg. Anyhow, I think so long as you're feeling well I wouldn't worry too much about it. And I like your and DH's long term perspective on the whole maternity leave thing. Sorry this fever has taken such a toll on him!
Jen that is exactly how I am with my IL's! It is crazy, but at least your DH now has some parental figures he can turn to for support and that's super :-) So have you continued Paleo during your pregnancy?
I love getting up in the am and seeing what all our friends on the other side of the world have posted :-) It's fun because you know the thread will have had some action on it overnight!
TTC5 this is just baffling ... so AF is now late. I hate to say it but I guess the brown tinged CM is a sign of AF at this point. Man. Your symptoms were CLASSIC! Ah well. How "off" the diet were you? I've continued my prenatal, FA, and fish oil in the 2WW. The only other thing I was taking was EPO so it isn't like my supps change much in the 2WW. I'm still eating pretty TW style, but less overall food, and I've had more sweets. But part of my rationale is I'm NOT going to attempt next cycle. If I was going to keep at it I would have stuck much more closely to the diet. So how do you think you've done? That would determine whether you should go for July or wait til August, I think.
Iluv sounds like you think your witch is coming :-( BOOO!

welcome Petey to a bunch of lovely helpful women...
no AF yet , no symptoms but then am on prometrium....i usually stop it when i see brown or red. no Af signs too...
this is mysterious....and hate this wait!
ttc5 i too stop most supps in the 2ww but go on to ttc the next cycle as i have long cycles and don't O before day 20 earliest so enough time for supps and BSD...after a point u care less.....

ttc5 - why did you stop it all during the 2ww? Many of the sups are safe for pregnancy so you really only need to stop a few in the 2ww. I'm still taking my fish oil and vit D. How long were you on the sups before the break?
Spicy - I was on the ig diet from December till late March. It wasn't too bad but it feels really restrictive after a while. In March I adopted Atomics philosophy of eat a ton of the healthy stuff and was much happier and ready for many more months of ttc. There's no reason to break from the GD plan as it's not focused on extremes (super high na/k and super low mg/ca) like ig.
Begonia - With very, very few exceptions I have maintained paleo, got more strict actually completely removing grains. Dh and I strongly believe it's why I'm feeling so good, the few times I strayed I felt nauseous and headachy. I'm excited to see how long I can maintain a no processed foods pregnancy before cravings drive me to evil lol

i am 13dpo today. have no more test but think AF is delayed due to prometrium. don't want to stop ir as there is always the faintest hope. usually prometrim delays me only by couple days. so will see.
what is Paleo 3PNB??
3Pink1Blue
June 16th, 2011, 12:35 PM
Cemas - Paleo eating is basically about fresh, non-precessed foods. Lots of meats, fruits, veggies and nuts. We eat no grains, lentils or tubers. I did modified paleo while ttc still eating whole grain bread and potatoes but have since dropped those.
When will you test??

Okay ladies need your help please....We dtd last night as I had a positive OPK last night around 8pm....I just did another OPK and it is positive today around 2pm, but no more EWCM like yesterday. Should I do it again tonight or wait and see what tomorrow brings?? I usually O around cd14 and this is only CD11 so early for me! I was thinking I was o'ing due to EWCm and cramps and took a OPK just for fun!

Hmm, I guess people do do back to back attempts but I see what you mean about skipping the supps for the fortnight. Did you continue the diet during the TWW?
Not really, I was eating lots due to extreme hunger lol but was pretty girly... no red meat, far less potato, no more tomato or banana lol

Spicy, I answered in your other thread, but I think a break is suggested from the IG diet because one of the focuses is on sodium and potassium intake. And you shouldn't have too much over a long period of time.

June 16th, 2011, 03:43 PM
ohhhh i remember being really constipated before I found out I was pregnant with DD. It's all coming back to me now. But keep in my mind I didn't get a BFP for 3 week after AF was late. But I didn't have any spotting at all. I was just late. I knew I was pregnant. My original ob couldn't see me the day i went in for the blood test. It was july 10th. So i saw someone else. When the results came back negative. She says "sometimes people just skip a period" I'm like "yes when you are PREGNANT" She goes "you are not pregnant." I said " i have never missed a period in my life since i was 13 years old. And the one times i know i potentially made a baby you are going to sit here and tell me I just skipped a period some professional you are." Low and behold, Guess her got her BFP 10 days later, <---------This GIRL!!! Son I really think there is hope here!!!

This.Is.BRUTAL.
Go buy a test NOW. Is your AF pretty regular? Or is it not that unusual to be a day or so late for you?
I WANT A BFP!!!! For you. For me, I'm still kinda hoping for a BFN. I bought some FRER today though so I'm ready to POAS all over next week!
Jen I love the idea of Paleo is why I asked. I have a good friend (male) who has been doing it for almost a year and he just swears he feels so good. I will crack up the day your body tells you it needs a Dorito though :-)
Tink that is nuttsy story! I wonder how it took so long for your body to register the baby was there?!?!
Want a laugh? SO I woke up this am with a vivid dream that I was holding a baby. Like, I FELT it. Then I look down and sweet DD2 was sacked out with her head on my belly :HH:

TTC5- if you've been on the sups that long I don't think 2 wks off will be a big deal, fx there is no next month!!!
Begonia - dh went paleo after my m/c. He's lost 40lbs and feels better then he ever has, we converted the kids a few months ago and I'm glad to not have to hide food from them anymore. I feel better then I have in a long time but I've spent a year chunking up and eating tons so I'm a bit skewed. I too am waiting/fearing the day I start shoveling in crap because I'm pretty sure it'll come lol
So sweet about dd2 :)
Well I did it, I called and made my first appt. It's in 2 wks so no heartbeat but I'm gonna beg for an u/s. Not sure if I'm excited or terrified lol
begonia

Yay Jen! I think excited and terrified is probably perfect at this point, but here's to having the terrified melt away fast and just leave you being excited :-) And I really, really hope they will give you an u/s!!! That is incredible that your girls do Paleo too! I just think it has GOT to be sooooo much healthier than anything else out there. I've been phasing out the processed stuff for my girls and they do pretty well, but they loooooooove chips. Even those I just try to do homemade ones for them, but seriously, they see a bag of Doritos or Cheetos and flip out, LOL :-) Best bribes ever.
TTC5 are you going to test again or just wait it out at this point?
Have friends coming over to swim; feel some guilt having a glass of wine in my 2WW but also know I had FAR more than that with my other 2 girls since they weren't exactly planned. Not stressing it, but definitely trying to avoid it as much as possible.

Awwww man, TTC5, that is NOT what I was expecting! How are you feeling about it? Your DH's radar was off, it's his fault for getting us all hopeful and stuff! So what are your thoughts re: July vs August, given that you went off the diet in the 2WW? I wouldn't stress over the supps since you were taking a prenatal; I think that still gives you the boost of nutrients.
I have NO self-control, nor any patience, for the record :-) The only reason I haven't been POAS like a mad woman myself is for whatever reason I'm reluctant to know ... a sick part of me actually LIKES this waiting, since I never had it with either of our other pregnancies. I feel like this is some rite of passage that I'm finally getting to experience!

Yea, I agree, if this turns into a long term ttc, I will probably switch to a French gender/GD style diet- but I find it hard to consume so much food- you know? And, of course, it costs a fortune. In an way, I think the Paleo diet is the way to conceive a boy since it contains the meat and fruit/veg aspect, and less of the terrible carbs and sugar. I can see myself doing this too if we don't conceive by October. My husband desperately wants to drink coffee and whiskey! I keep telling him that those are the two worst things he could want to consume!

Sorry to confuse you Princess ... I didn't mean that you O'd yesterday morning, when I said " you O'd early" I meant early as in before the evening/late night. I meant I think you O'd between your + and - result, and used "early" to mean "not at night/overnight."

Princess my DH doesn't agree with planning/swaying either so the timing thing was definitely a bit of a bugger for me. From what I have read, you do ovulate very soon after the negative OPK. I had a link to a really cool chart that showed the different surges (estrogen, LH) and where the peak was relative to the O, but now of course I can't find it. But anyhow, it showed the LH decline sharply JUST prior to O, which is where it makes sense that you would get a negative and O shortly after that. Odds are you couldn't get that egg with any sperm from this evening, but to be safe I'd avoid DTD tonight.

From what I've read on IG....digital OPK are the best / most accurate. The one is oz is 'Clear Blue' digital OPK...& come in a box of 7. They are expensive...so I used the IC...& when I was geting a darker line, I switched to the digital OPK & BD 12 hours after the 'smiley'.
Yes, they do work like strips...you may or may not get 2 days +....but are more accurate. I was testing with digital & IC & the digital showed the smiley face (positive), whereis the IC showed a dark line, but no positive. I have read alot on this & was told to trust the digital reading.
Last month I just used the IC... the closest I got was a dark line for 2 days, so switched to digital to see what was going on & it was negative also....so I missed the surge because the IC didn't work properly.

ITA the digital OPKS are worth the money, at least for me they were. In May I didn't use them b/c I was trying to conserve them for the attempt this month, and I never got a true positive on the regular old sticks. So I used the digis this month and found the surge easily. I'll definitely use them again if we attempt this fall. And yes, you can pop the sticks out and still use them to see your fade in pattern.
Thanks for the wishes, Iluv, LOL! Are you going to test this week?

Ams I'm sorry you're out! 4 months isn't a long time TTC for most people, KWIM? I understand you normally get pg sooner but maybe take it as a positive that this is not happening like it did the other times, since those were girls and you're shooting for a boy... I don't think it is that some can't carry boys. Are you only doing 1 attempt on O day? Because that could also explain why it is taking longer. I'm not sure of the stats on how long it takes swayers to conceive; I think the best you could do to figure that out would be to look at the surveys posted on the various sites and see how many months it took the posters to get pg. AMS - A lot of us who got pregnant easily in the past took time while swaying. I personally don't think you just can't have a boy, unless there is a genetic reason that would prevent the pregnancy we all have a chance :)
My mom had 2 girls, I have three, we both diet constantly and both carry a Vit D deficiency. Venture on over to ttc a girl and read what sways pink. I think you'll realize, like a lot us, you we're unknowingly swaying your butt off. Don't loose hope darlin'.

OK, boyjoy, I don't want to crush you but 18 weeks is pretty clear for gender. I would maybe try to adjust for a girl now.....I really want to be positive, I just think 18 weeks they can tell but keep your FX. Did you say babies or baby? Boyjoy I am so glad to hear you and the baby are OK! Your post had me scared for a bit there! Good luck at the scan on Monday ... keep us posted. I hope you do hear boy!
Sunny congratulations on your BFP!!! Hope you have a healthy, wonderful pregnancy!
Tomorrow a.m., B. On a perfect 28 day cycle AF should arrive on Tues. and I'm really guessing at what dpo day I'm at tomorrow. If no BFP then I will call it and assume AF will arrive, which would be OK but not AF while camping gosh darn it.
How you feeling then? And I agree on the digital OPK's make confirmation a no brainer.

Hi all well I am out again this month:( can't figure it out I was sure I was pregnant! Think diet and supps making me feel like crap! Going to give it one more month than a break! Can't believe it's taken neatly 4 tries! I feel straight away with the girls! Any advice? How long is avg for people to conceive when swaying?
So for the rant but on verge of giving up
Ps. Do u think some women just can't carry boys? My mum had all girls too?
I know how you feel ams and I haven't been trying quite as long. Hang in there, it will happen. BTW, if you are over 35 years I think the Dr.'s will see you at 6 months of trying if you want to go that route to make sure all is cool. I've read that even when all is perfect there's only like a 20% chance of a BFP.
here's what Atomic wrote about the "can't carry" but I haven't read it.
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?525-you-quot-can-t-quot-carry-a-baby-of-that-gender!
GL! I think w/ Atomic's diet that it's fine for you and you can be on it long term. What supps are you taking if you think that might be an issue and have you had any issues or has everything been great just no BFP's?

Question....should I still do an opk around cd 14 as that is normal for me or skip it seeing as I think i oed already?
Havent done dtd since Wednesday night when I got my positive opk. when do u think it is okay to dtd again? I was counting on tomorrow but then oed early!!
I remember reading on another board that longer luteal phases swayed gender....does anyone remember what gender??
When in doubt take the test. :) I would princess just to be sure.

BTW - i am now on iron since my stored iron is low. The iron in my blood is fine. I decided to start w/ the 50mcg of thyroid meds for hypothyroidism but don't know how it will effect my cycle yet and might take a month or two?? They generally start w/ 25mg but I thought now why would I do that, I don't have time to mess around for 8 months to try and get the right dosage and you have 2 directions to go now and not just 1. You have to go in every 2 months for blood tests to see if where your TS/thryoid levels are until the figure out the right mcg's then every 6 months...f-o-r-e-v-e-r-. So suck but hopefully this will make it all better.

Sorry about the BFN. I agree with the others, it seems a lot of people are taking longer to conceive when swaying. Four attempts may seem like an eternity but if you think about it, it's actually not that long. I really hope next month will be the one!

I'm currently CD10 waiting for O. Need advice on timing. How important is it really? I'm thinking bd every 3rd day and when I get a +opk. I'm not 100% sure on DH's sperm count. Back in 2005 (when we thought we couldn't conceive) DH has a SA done and they said it was low. I want to say like 20 million but I really don't remember. We ended up conceiving before we went to specialist but then we miscarried. I did some online research and put him on specific vitamins and we conceived again DD1 two weeks later. So now, I don't know if he STILL has low sperm count or if it's ok now. Right now he has been on Men's One a Day, CoQ10, L-Arginine, L-Carnitine, and Fish Oil for about 3 months. So, I'm thinking in order to get pregnant we need to bd more than just O day. Anyone agree/disagree? Advice? Do we start bd on first day of +opk or at first signs of ewcm? I have no idea how many days of +opk's I will get.
I'm really hoping this happens on the 1st try, but I know that's only in a perfect world. I really want that March baby!

There are other things more important than timing (diet and keeping your blood sugar up) but most of us will do the timing just as even a little extra benefit. I think a lot of us are trying to do: 1st O-2 after 3-4 days of abstinence, then on O (12 - 18hrs after 1st + opk), then maybe even 48hrs after that. If you have some time and don't need a BFP right away people do just at the 12-18 hrs after 1st + opk, but you said you wanted to do it more than once. I know Atomic has a sticky about it as well.
Myself and other have had problems w/ the L-Arginine but I'm not sure about men.

Ttc5- I take vit d, I found out after dd3 that I have a severe deficiency. Why do you ask?
Just a quick check in and more bfn's and a bfp! I think that's 4 bfp's this month!
So I may have to kill dd2, she said to my mil, bil and his gf that she thinks I'm pregnant. Bil mentioned it today and I laughed it off. Next time they will outright ask and won't take anything short of a solid answer. It's stupid but I don't like to lie, it's almost like if I say I'm not it'll make me not. Mock away, I know it's stupid. At this point we will avoid them till mid July but we weren't looking to spill it then, though we may not have a choice. My pants won't button, with this being my 6th pregnancy my uterus is ready to grow and I fear it will out me well before we're ready. Alexis I think DTD 2x is fine; with low (maybe, hope the supps helped) sperm count I would try for a 4 day abstinence before an O-2 attempt, then 48 hours abstain before O day.
I'm just very very slightly bummed but I'm OK really, I didn't expect a BFP at all so I'm not surprised I guess. Looking forward to hearing about you though.
Thanks Kris!

Alexis- I agree DTD x2! 4day abst before 0-2 then do again on o. That is my plan for month 2 if month one doesn't work! I have no patience and don't think i can maintain this diet for endless months !
Jen - LOL at your daughter they say kids know stuff like that!
TTC5- why are you thinking of taking Vit d? I don't take it....but not sure what the benifit is? mabye I should be taking it too?
****Warning TMI ****As for me Already stressed out LOL- worried these supplements have stuffed up my cycle with no real proof- just my period came strong for 2 days and very light since- which is different to every other time my whole life ! Normally it is a 5 day affair gets light day 5/ spot day 6 mabye- I am trying to tell myself change may be good as i got girls the last 2 times but am stressing My fertility is up the creek !! .....hmmmm as i said no real proof......mabye i should add very crazy and hormonal to my symptoms....LOL
I forgot what you are taking but they messed me up big time and I quite every L- supp and green tea supps. Just Vitamins for me. I'd stop them if you think they are effecting you and they effect people differently. You are so cute though, that wasn't tmi at all. :)

With DHs supps does he just continue to take them until confirmed BFP? He doesn't need a break before that?
I've not heard the men need a break. If you get a BFP I would think he could stop, but it could be worth it for him to keep them for health if they aren't messing w/ him.

I think he might actually want to keep taking some of them anyway. He has to stop whey protein in a few months so he's looking for other ways to help with his strength training and blah, blah and blah. Obsessed much?

Cheekymoo FWIW I'm with Iluv and didn't take any cycle messing supps... that said, my AF changed on the diet/vitamins alone. I ended up having spotting for 2-3 days prior to AF while on the boy diet and I never had that before. I do think you should look at it as a potentially positive sign, that your cycles are changing, because it is an indicator your hormone levels have changed. And your cycle doesn't sound unhealthy (like if it suddenly went to 6 days of heavy bleed or something) so I wouldn't worry about it!

As far as due dates go I've also had one arr the day after, the other two were 6 and 7 days late. I'm a very comfy home and they had to be forcibly removed via pitocin.
ttc5- yeah vit d3 and dh does take it too, he works in an office so we fear he doesn't get enough. More girls are conceived in spring after a a winter of staying indoors with little to no vit D exposure or fresh healthy foods.
Freaking out a little this morning, tiny bit of brown blood in my panties and when I wiped. It wasn't pink and it wasn't a lot but still. Hoping its just sex spotting from Saturday and trying to stay calm. I will be taking it easy today and probably peeing every 20 minutes just to check.

3PNB, sorry to hear about brown blood but i dont think it's a worry because it could just be old blood. It could also be from Sat night sex. My DH has been away with work for the last 3 wks so he came home this w/end for Father's day & when we dtd it felt really strange & weird up there, hmmm dont know why.
Kris, sorry for bfn but 10dpo is still early so keep testing

Do you remember me saying that i think a friend of mine is secretly hoping i have another girl, well she rang me on Sunday & we got talking about me being preg & i said i wasnt feeling preg & the first thing she said "it's a girl" & i asked why & she said well i know someone who had no symptoms & she's having a girl. Thanks ladies, I've got no cramps and did a gentle clean out and haven't seen anything since. Scared the sh*t out of me though so poor dh isn't going to be getting any for a while lol
baby - Have you ever watched "I didn't know I was pregnant"? Just as many sneak attack babies are boys as are girls, I've had one blissful, one I wish I would just die pregnancy and one in the middle and they all yielded girls. No symptoms doesn't mean anything. That said I also have a friend rooting for a girl, she loves my girls and wants me to have 10 more of them. She's a single mom with one son and is living vicariously though my reproduction. She does however know I want a boy and wants that for me but always says she'll be thrilled, for me or her lol, no matter what I get.
Cheekymoo - I too am in the no messing with your cycle camp and like the others things changed a bit all on their own.
Well it seems my blissful run is over, It started Friday and I was hoping it was a one day thing but no luck. I'm not barfy just icky. Nothing sits well but nothing in particular is getting me either. Already breaking out my m/s arsenal and am hoping to kick it's ass in a matter of days.

Oh Jen I bet the blood was a scary find; odds seem very much in favor of it being totally OK though. Especially if you haven't seen a bit more. Likely just what everyone said, old blood. So sorry to hear your m/s is starting; here's hoping you do in fact kick it to the curb! What's in your arsenal?!?
On the "friends" (yours sounds like not the best one, Babydes... but that is super sweet about your friend, Jen, who loves your girls) and their comments, that's part of the reason I don't want to find out ... if I do have a 3rd girl I don't want to deal with all the comments while she's still in utero; I just want to enjoy the pregnancy. If anyone dares make a comment once she's out I'll shove a dirty diaper in their mouth :-) Of course not finding out I'll have to deal with everyone saying "oh, why bother finding out since it'll be a girl, of course..." People can be so insensitive.
But Babydes your sway you posted looked absolutely fantastic, so if you've got a girl in there she is definitely meant to be but I'm betting it is a boy! Jen did you post your sway?
ITA that pregnancy symptoms, heart rate, how you carry ... all of that is rubbish IMO for gender prediction. My 2 pregnancies were so different and I was convinced that meant #2 would be a boy. HA. That clearly didn't work out, lol.

B- yep I posted my sway, can't link to it since I'm on my phone.
My m/s arsenal is b-6 2-3x a day, preggie drops/pops, peppermint, lemon, club soda with lemon/lime and listening to cravings. Nasty as it sounds w/dd#1 chocolate covered chocolate donuts and cream soda stopped my m/s in it's tracks. Sadly I'm not craving any magic food yet and am just finding more things to avoid. Luckily I had some preggie pops from my loss and they're helping while I figure the rest out.

My O can be from CD12-CD18!! The past 2 months it has been CD 18, so I'm hoping lol. But I did take soy so I'm aware that can change O as well. I'm getting some cramping today but idk if it's O pains as I've never experienced them before.
I'm doing my opk's every day now and looking for a fade in pattern. It recommends testing opk's with afternoon urine but with all this water I'm drinking I think it may be too diluted. I tend to drink less in the mornings so will it be ok just to do it about mid-morning? I don't want to miss my surge. I'm CD 11 today and -opk.
Thanks so much for helping me!

Jen I'm going to go look for your sway! I probably already read it and commented and then totally forgot  *sigh* 33 and the memory is already not so good  I am definitely filing away your tips, those are great! LOL at the cream soda and donuts though!
Alexis soy can for sure mess with your O; I know Cemas had a crazy, long (I want to say 50 some days?) cycle from the soy. But I also know another gal from IG whose O moved up early from it! I took it one cycle months ago, like maybe November, and it didn't change mine. I never took it again b/c it didn't do anything + for me. So who knows?!? You're smart to start the OPK's already!
Re: testing and the holding I HATE that. I'm a frequent pee-er  What I did was drink some in the am, stopped drinking by 9, had a pee at 10, then held it til at least 1 (I did have a bit to drink in the 3-4 hour wait) and would take my 1st OPK of the day somewhere around 1-2. Then I would drink some more, pee at 3, and hold til 6-7 to take the next one. I do think the holding for 3 hours minimum is key to getting an accurate read!
Re: timing, I would just try to DTD every 2-3 days and hope for the best ... ideally when it comes to getting the +OPK you won't have DTD for 48 hours. Don't stress it too much for sure .... I think diet is waaaaay more important. But I totally understand wanting to get timing "right" since I was definitely up in arms about it myself when it came to the actual attempt. And I ended up with 2 attempts 24 hours apart  But whatever will be will be, I'm happy with all the other stuff I did
How many days of +OPK do you get? That is the other thing I've heard about the soy ... it can give you a really strong O. So you might end up with 2-3 days of +OPK if you've not had that before.

I have absolutely no idea how many +opks I would get. This is my first cycle using them. I should have started them earlier so I would know, but we are on a tight budget and I'm lucky to even be able to sway and buy all the extra food/supps that I normally don't buy. DH is being a great sport about things as he really wants a boy too ;) I'm hoping the soy does give me a strong O and get a couple of days of +opks. That and temping I'll think I'll do ok on bedding. I guess I won't stress too much about the timing. I think 2 day abstinence is good enough for DH's sperm count.
I think I'm doing well on the diet. Maybe not as well as some of you girls but it's a HUGE change from what I usually eat lol! I am by no means a salt eating person! I just hope it works.

Alexis I think you're in a good spot to have a GREAT sway, so really ... don't sweat the timing. There's a thread on here somewhere (I'll see if I can find it, shouldn't be too far back) where we asked the boy moms to say what they did as far as timing/abstinence when getting their boys, and it was all over the map. Timing is probably the hardest thing to control so take comfort in the fact that the rest of it (what diet, exercise, supps you do) is totally within your control. Good luck and keep us posted!

Cheers, Lola! That is one big reason I will be a-ok with a BFN ... I have a super fun girls weekend planned in July, and it would be a wee bit less fun if I'm knocked up. And a heck of a lot less fun if knocked up with m/s. SO ... enjoy yourself now, b/c before too long you'll be a pg party pooper
Jen ITA ... I will nubsess to no end, but I'm really on board with waiting. I do think it will be fun, boy or girl, to have that moment at birth. If I'd done it once already I might not be as into it, but since we've not yet had one that way I am going to go with it and try (try try try) not to fret about gender much once I'm pg. Have you had a "surprise" with gender at birth yet? I am so glad to hear no more spotting! When is your appointment? I know you scheduled it but now can't remember when.
I'm excited to POAS tomorrow, LOL! Even though I know the odds of it being BFP are slim to none  I really can't decide if I want a BFP or BFN anyway so am more or less just curious to know the answer either way, and a test at 8dpo won't really tell me much. But it's a start!

2 days late is not very late, so from this point it could go either way - your body is preparing for af or it's adjusting to the fact you are pg. I'm not helping, sorry!
About your previous question how long did it take to get pg with swaying - from what I observed http://yoursmiles.org/psmile/science/p0317.gif (http://yoursmiles.org/p-science.php?page=) ( during a year on forums) it depends mostly on how old are you. The younger, the quicker it goes.
Above 30 - a bit longer, and above 35 - a life time :hair: I'll be 39 in Oct and I'm swaying for 10 months. However, I kinda think, if I would stop while 'boy lifestyle' I would get pg much easier and probably with a girl again, which of course is not an option

I am 35 so dont want to spend forever swaying if it will stop me in some way from getting pregnant. I am really only doing diet and timing, no supplements.
We are going on a family vacation in july so i am just going to let whatever happen happen.
That makes alot of sense. If you don't get your BFP this round then hopefully the break will be just what you need.

My af is late, not because I'm pg, but bcos my cycle is a mess :hair: That would delay my O date in girl biorhythm and girl Moon sign http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/rtfm/t2412.gif (http://yoursmiles.org/t-rtfm.php?page=1) not to mention New Moon. My perfect plan goes down the toilet
But no more waiting, I will try for sure http://yoursmiles.org/msmile/pozitive/m100.gif (http://yoursmiles.org/m-pozitive.php?page=1) if we make it this month, our BOYZ will be only days apart http://yoursmiles.org/msmile/pozitive/m1268.gif (http://yoursmiles.org/m-pozitive.php?page=2)
Good luck Zivic!

B- I think thats where I am on the gender, don't think I want to know for sure but I would love a great nub shot to obsess over  Sorry your allergies are kicking your ass but fx for a bfp!!
Princess - still feeling positive for you :)
I had some light brown spotting at 6 and 8 weeks for my DD. I am sure everything is fine. :)
Lola - drink it up and have some fun, you deserve it :)
No more brown since this morning, my panicking has ceased for the time being. Thanks ladies for your support and optimism, it really means so much.
I had some brown spotting at 6 and 8 weeks with DD and everything was fine. They did an ultrasound and found a small teensy area where implantation area was- so they assumed it was from that.

I know ideally we shouldn't drink alcohol pre TTC on the diet and supps but would a few drinks about 4 weeks before attempt really hurt? DH and I are both keen to try sooner but one of the reasons we were going to wait was because we have weddings and hens/bucks nights in Oct/Nov. But we are getting so impatient. Or do you think we should just wait like we originally planned???
I don't think a few small drinks would hurt at all for a special occasion :)

Full Moon and last quarter are good for the :xy: because of + ions in the air.thanx, it seems theres so many things to bear in mind, its quite overwhelming! i think you said earlier that the older we get,the harder it is to conceive, especially seems to be the case when swaying.im wanting to attempt soon and thought it would be so easy after my 3 dd's but now after reading these great attempts,im feeling doubtful:sad:so frustarting as theres something i seem to be having thats giving me upset stomach, im sure its the change in diet:mad:

Jane, what are you taking? I know when you first introduce wheatgrass that really sends your tummy bubbling for a while lol! i am having barley grass powder in a huge glass of fruit n veg juice, i just think its a combination really, im usually such a small eater and eat plain n boring stuff so because im grazing and having plenty of fibre stuff( v8 etc) i reckon thats what it is! its very uncomfortable though.i know someone else said they had bad tummy till they were 5 wks preg with their 1st boy so im hoping its a good sign:bigsmile: i can take it for the cause!
